  1. Scott Sinclair should be nowhere near the first team or bench. Can’t tackle, can’t win a ball in the air, doesn’t track back, no fight, passion, not taking on a man ever, nothing in his locker for 2years now he’s got nowt apart from an occasional five a side goal. A real mystery.

  2. Not much football on that threadbare carpet.

MUlumbu and Christie showing well .

Hendry and Bhoyata look solid but KT and Lustig both looking hesitant especially with ball over top.

Young Johnston not having much of the ball and Sinclair bereft of any confidence.

Broony himself and Griff showing a strikers instinct.

  3. HT. 1-0

Kilmarnock getting everything they deserve so far on a terrible pitch they’ve conspired to make worse by not watering in an attempt to bring the event down to a modern day version of shin kicking crosses with Greko-Roman wrestling. Fortunately the Hoops are wise to this and are going about their business in a calm and professional manner despite Andy Walkers repeated shouts for a mysterious red card for Boyata.

  4. An effective first half; another team pushed back and defending deep (after a wee bit of possession in the first 15 minutes). Griff does what he’s paid to do and Boyata is unlucky not to have scored 2 goals.

Mulumbu and Brown have been effective in the middle and overall we have been fairly good. Christie and Johnston are both looking hungry and Jack Hendry is coping well (for an escaped goat). Moisey17 filling in well as the lurking hun. More to come in the second half. COYBIG!

  5. ps. Someone should point out to the officials that Kilmarnocks defending of Celtic corners should have resulted in at least two penalties.

  6. I really don’t understand the need to find a scapegoat at 1:0.

If Scott Sinclair has not been amongst our star players; he has certainly not been as poor as is being portrayed.

We have enough players showing up well in Malumbu, Boyata and Griff; I prefer to cheer us on to victory than to concentrate on nominations for who is the weakest player.

It takes a split second longer to control the ball on this horrible pitch , which lets the cluggers and wrestlers get in about our players. Controlling the game after our usual hesitant start but could do with another goal or two.

Maybe see a change for the ineffectual Sinclair second half. KT could get some attacking joy down that flank .

  8. Molumbu…….not overawed in the slightest playing for Celtic been on the ball a lot. Quite impressive so far.

  9. Fatso McQueen said “Rangers asserted themselves………..”

    Once a hun………………….

  11. Goooood afternoon CQN ???????

Better movement in the team today, even on this shockingly disgraceful playing surface

Need to watch out for this ref in the 2nd half

    A 2nd goal will help

  12. SETTING FREE THE BEARS FOR RES. 12 & OSCAR KNOX,

Well said! That’s what real Celtic supporters do – support the team on the park.

  13. Mulumbu will be important away from home in the europa league, reminds me of Neil Lennon does the hard graft in the middle of the park

    As for the Celtic fans

    Let the people sing ?

  14. Scotland’s assistant manager says a draw would have been a fair result at half time!!!

    Sound down!!

    C’MON THE CELTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  15. Moisey17 filling in well as the lurking hun. More to come in the second half. COYBIG!

Yep, a hun monkey without a flute.?????

  16. So Sinclair is the escaped goat today, not seen much from Johnson or Christie,

could be they are used to playing on better than a public park

  17. SFTB I reckon some only watch the hoops to find a player to criticise. The bottom line is that Sinclair hasn’t had much game time recently but is still a very talented bhoy. 3 players round him every time he gets the ball and it’s tough to be effective in those situations,

  18. Scrappy game, mainly due to the surface. So many changes, whilst maybe warranted on form, do nothing to encourage cohesion when actually trying to play as a team. Killie’s zero changes in team selection was main factor in them bossing possession stats for first 20 mins – their players. & formation, knew instinctively where to place their passes, whereas we often take a touch, look up for options and then try a pass, by which time the receipiant has been closed down and struggles on the surface to keep possession.

We came into game, possession wise, as half wore on – without looking threatening. Our main threats came from set pieces, which isn’t a great thing imo.

Goal came from KT’s cross (not his best, to be fair), a sclaff attempt at a clearance by Broadfoot, and a worse attempt at left back which hit his own goal post. Griff does was all great strikers do – was in the right place at the right time to head in rebound.

We probably just shaded 1st half, and 1-0 a fair reflection – especially when you consider Killie defending at corners should have led to a penalty to us for holding. Surely Thomson will have to give us one if Broadfoot persists in foiling at corners?! (Won’t hold my breath though)

  19. Flare on pitch after our goal. Tv doesn’t show it. Don;t know what colour it was. Commentators don,t tell us who threw it yet we have guys here watching the same pictures as everybody else able to tell us that it was the GB. And they aren’t even there. Way to go.
