Though it does mean that a corner is only deemed to have been taken when the ref says so. How would a short corner work now, can you just roll the ball an inch and it’s live? Remember the Man U short corner a few years back but the goal was ruled out as the linesman didn’t believe the kick had been taken (though the ball had clearly been rolled out of the arc).

Regarding the ARC at the corner flag. It is a 1 yard radius from the corner flag. The rule states the ball must be placed “inside the arc”.
However, given the definition that the “whole ball” must cross the line for a goal and applying that to the taking of corners, I offer the following interpretation.
The ball does not have to be “inside the arc”. Nor does the ball have to touch the line.
The ball can be resting outside the line due the the fact it is a sphere thus when you look down on the ball, some part of it can still be crossing the line.
It drives fans mad. And assistant refs will often tell the player to move it onto the line. Wrongly IMO.

Big Jimmy.
The circumference of the ball is defined as 27-28 ins. It would be nigh on practically impossible, though technically possible, for the ball to travel it’s circumference and remain in the arc.
However, recent rule changes – last few years – have seen the wording “travel full circumference” replaced by “ball moving”. Hence we’ve seen occasions where a player will put the ball in the arc, tap it lightly and walk away, pretending that someone else will take the corner when in fact it has already been taken. Usually done on the assistan referees side and with advance notice given to said assistant.

Boys,
Stop kidding yourselves.
You are not getting any advancement in this CL farce of a tournament.
The Cup Final next week is by far our biggest focus this season.
——————————-
Totally disagree ( we were debating that exact point in the pub on Friday ).
Nobody will remember a league cup win in a few years time. But we all remember beating Barca. Ask yourself:- what was NFL’s most defining game ?
The CL is where legends are made, not a league cup.
But I take your point and many, if not most agreed with you.

If you are reading the companies act I presume mrs bgfc small business is a Ltd co.
Seems overly complicated for such a small biz.
If you have other reasons for incorporation fine, but I would seriously question whether this was necessary.
If it is maintained as a sole trader you could easily do the necessary tax return requirements yourself, at probably zero cost.
As an incorporated business you have to deal with the legislation and £600 is pretty reasonable cost imo for an established car practice to charge.
Recommend you go to a sole trader status with decent public liability insurance.
Hope this helps and your daughter does well today.
