Try the bread section in your Asda store for “Irish Batch loaf” there is only about 5 or 6 slices in it but it’s lovely, you can also get soda bread and whole grain brown bread made by Paul Rankin I think it is. Also on the food issues the Tesco at Parkhead used to stock a euro foods aisle which had tayto crisps and cadburys caramello, mint crisp, tiffin etc etc along with packets of knorr chic soup flahavans porridge, Kimberley, mikado and coconut creams.( older culchies will remember that advert). Christ I’m hungry now after typing that time for a toasted Brady’s ham and cheese on Brennan’s batch, does anyone know if pat the baker is still going as his batch was lovely too.

Halliday rantings ..WOW !
Is it any wonder their support is so delusional, with the bile spewed out by Halliday ?
There were several startling statements in there, and some gave been addressed already on here however, Halliday ( who obviously needs a wee holiday ) spouts about their support inspiring themi in the last 15 minutes v dundee ?
The ipox midden was half empty during that spell , cos their so called ” loyal” fans had buggered off !
At the time of their ” work class ” ????????? Goal the place was only about 25% full.
The ramblings of this latest idiot with his only talent being the ability to twist facts, reminds mostly of when Wattie & Fattiewere in charge, and their interviews immediately after an oldco victory against Celtic .
Live in front of a TV camera, either one of those two would be ranting how well the had played etc, but then would always comment how fantastic their fans had been and they had never stopped singing throughout the 90 minutes in support of their team ?
Occasionally the TV interviewer would ask, ” Wattie/Tattie ? What about the sectrerian singing from the rankers fans” ?
It wouldn’t matter a not which one if those two were being interviewed, as the response would always be, ” I never heard anything like that” ?
I know it was too much to expect , but I would be sitting there waiting and hoping that just once, an interviewer would immediately remind them that they had just praised the rankers support for singing for 90 minutes, and therefore how either of them could say that one minute, and then claim they never heard any of the blood songs and chants ?
Two of the worst lying duds I’ve ever had the misfortune to hear.

Ratio of 500g plain flour to 100g mashed spuds. A
ACGRknob of butter, salt and pepper to season. Roll to about 5mm thick and cut (use a wee plate to shape and you can then cut into 4). Fry in a really hot pan and enjoy!KTF
