Had the odd shandy in the Winning Post, used to play on the ash park in the middle of the scheme with the floodlights, also used to play on the grass park at the bottom of the village against our rivals Vicky Park they were the “Sevco” mob back in the day at our level
Legend has it – the only guid thing to come oot’ o’ Airdrie is the road to Coatbrig’ :-)

TAL … both would walk into Celtic’s first 11 without breaking a sweat. Two really good players. Bradley is a tank in the middle, and giovinco’s skills are sublime… he is so much fun to watch. I promise you that you will enjoy it

The odd shandy?
I recall one sad occasion from my youth when someone returned from the bar wi a round of half-pints.
“WTF?”
“Oh,I’m not staying much longer.”
Well,he’d stayed long enough for about six pints off the rest of us.
We all downed them in a wanner and told him to get up to the bar and get the round in.
A mistake he never made again, but still a good friend. He learned fast!
Seriously, I’m am lost these days in relation to goalies and ” how many steps and/or length if time holding the ball” rules, what is the rule these days ?
BMCUWP & others , the final against Aberdeen IMO , is clearly the MUST WIN game for all the reasons already mentioned, start of a treble etc. Imagine how much we would be kicking ourselves IF we best Barca , and then lost to the sheep ?
Forget the smsm, Celtic fans would be questioning or consistency and the attitude if the Celtic players ?
Some of our fans would be accusing some Celtic players of thinking that all they had to do was turn up against Aberdeen, and taking them too lightly ?
We can not , and MUST not allow that to happen !
Ask yourselves this , how many times in your life have you been absolutely gutted when beaten by a Barca team ?
Also, ask yourselves his many times in your life have you been absolutely gutted when losing to an Aberdeen team ?
Again, ask yourself how many times your been gutted when Celtic lose out on a possible Treble ?
Yet again, ask yourselves his many times in your life you have been absolutely gutted after Celtic have lost ANY Cup Final ?
No my Celtic friends, this Cup Final is a MUST WIN ! IMO.
I feel so strongly about this is that I would happily get beat 7-0 again by Barca, if it meant we win the league Cup next Sunday .
Maybe not happily, but prepared to accept both results !
Celtic 2 v Barca – 1. My bet is already on , correct score.
In fact Celtic are 11/1 just to win in 90 minutes. Im having some of that .

Oor supporters bus Stopped in a pub in Eaglesham when we returned from Ayr one saturday and encountered a busload of Airdrie supporters returning from Killie. I have never seen anything like it in my life, like a scene from a wild west barroom brawl – including the flyin’ chairs and the polis escorted the bus through a gauntlet of bricks and bottles.
Found out a lot about Airdrie that day.

I’m only having a wee swipe at Airdrie to deflect my Kilwinning background. No offence intended at any time, tongue firmly in cheek.
It’s easy being a Tim in Timmy areas. But I reckon it’s more fun being a missionary in the hun heartlands!
Mike,
They fired him?…..Great!
Now I’ll be able to sit and watch Sebastian Giavinco and Michael Bradley without feeling guilty….Not that I know who they are anyway :-)
When l left St Mary’s Caldercruix
I was sent to St Andrews Coatdyke
It was used as over spill from St Patrick’s
Sorry to fat fingers then StMargarets
Was made junior secondary school
That when half the school was transferred
