    well i do – so there :))

    Well I dont,so double”There”

  2. I think,in my addled state, that BR will try out Tuesday for future away games in the CL.He wont get a better chance.

  3. Bateen Bhoy says PADDY COME HOME on

    Hot Smoked,

    Once a teacher, always a teacher :-)

For what it’s worth, I’m happy with what we’ve got too, but Moussa has had a few injuries since joining us, and I’d be reluctant to go into our potential CL games with only one fit striker.

I argued against signing another striker a few weeks back – I still think we’d struggle to sign someone of sufficient quality who’d be prepared to be 3rd choice striker in a team which only plays one at a time…. but it seems BR may be looking for someone else, so what do I know.

I think he’s done enough to convince me he knows what he’s doing, so I’m happy he’s making the decisions, and not me.

Hoping to meet up with you and the man from Carnoustie sometime soon.

I think we may have ‘known’ each other from a different time/place.

Could be wrong though….it has been known. ;-)

  4. Given he’s one booking from being suspended for first group stage game I wouldn’t be surprised if Brown is left out on Tuesday.

  5. I’ve seen a lot of comments on Twitter about preferences for the CL group we’ll end up in. Personally I want the poorest team from each pot.

  6. HT, I agree, I want to see us progress, and that would give us the best chance.

Great nights will be had in The CL Group Stages no matter who we play, and no games will be easy, but I’d like to see us qualify for the next round first and foremost.

I was going to ask how you knew I had been a teacher then you said this: I think we may have ‘known’ each other from a different time/place.

I am now even more intrigued.

    HT

I want us to qualify first . If we do, I share your wishes re poorest teams possible. They will still be very good and Celtic park will still be great on those evenings. Aargh! You have got me jumping the gun now !

as long as we avoid that top side from Luxembourg who beat the best squad in scotia then we have a chance

    Progress not Progres

Agree. Spartak Moscow, Porto, Anderlecht as it stands just now

    ——-

No chance whatsoever of that i would suggest.

  11. Just had a look at Astana on Google images. Looks quite a remarkable place. Any CQNers going?

    …..are hearing that,……

Celtic FC, will be drawn in the same CL group as Jose Mourinho….

Celtic FC, will finish 3rd in CL group….

Celtic FC, will win Europa League trophy….

Celtic FC, will win domestic treble….

Celtic FC, will descend into civil war with their fans, when it is revealed through the 5 way agreement that, the Rangers FC who will be due for relegation at the end of the season, will now be retained in the top league, because of the legal structures of the, Celtic PLC driven 5 way agreement !!!!!

    The Celtic since 1994 way.

    Whoda funk it ¿¿¿¿¿

    Anyway,……

    …….off-oot.

  13. Spanish TV now superimposing players names with circles and lines on live game – getting like a cross between FIFA 2017 and subutteo

As far as I am concerned, Celtic V Albion Rovers is a `glamour tie ` :-)

  15. sixtaeseven - 67 trophies in my lifetime on

On Tuesday, just play big Shifty up front and confuse the hell out of them.

After all, he is still officially our 3rd first team striker…

After 65min when they realize he is mince, bring on the Griffs.

This fitba tactics business is a doddle !!

    Ha ha

  16. Do the qualifying bookings not get wiped out for the Groups?Would seem grossly unfair if they were not.Surely they do?.

  17. Dessybhoy

you are right that’s why we will play our top available team – as Brendan says it’s 0-0 try and win the game without heroics

  18. What is the Stars on

The way we are playing at the moment I wouldn’t be afraid of any team coming to parkhead for a champions league game. And once Jonny Hayes is fit again and we are back to full strength….well….skys the limit

Always happy for us to be the glamour

  20. DESSYBHOY on 20TH AUGUST 2017 8:50 PM

Please we are not through yet, focus required in this yet game.

    Your avin a bubble,aintcha.

    BAD COCKNEYCSC.

  21. TURKEYBHOY on 20TH AUGUST 2017 8:53 PM

If a player has one or two bookings they are wiped for group stages but if a player gets a third booking this week they miss the first group stage game.

  22. Agreed lads I don’t get this idea of wanting ‘glamour’ ties, it’s the CL we’re inevitably going to draw big names.

    Gary67

Talking to step son yesterday that was the group we both opted for.

  23. This is a big year for us in Europe, next year we will lose the 12/13 coefficient points which means we are in real danger of not being seeded in the Final Qualifier next season. Factor in the additional 4th qualifier and the Turkish/Swiss/Dutch teams coming into the mix and things start to look difficult. The Champions League qualifying scenario starting next season will be in place until at least 2024.

    Turkeybhoy

UEFA fair ? now that’s a strange concept

I know,I know, but to put players who have played 6 qualifiers into a group with teams who have not,and hold their booking points against them is ridiculous.

    It cant be,surely.

    OK Gary,that makes sense.Thank you.

  26. Gary67

That being the case it really would make sense to leave Brown out on Tuesday.

  27. TTR

Seriously – was talking to my son tonight on that subject – everything is weighed in favour of the big 4 leagues

  28. Turkeybhoy

I never count my chickens,we have achieved a brilliant result in the first leg ,we are a professional oufit and BR will make sure the team are aware of whats expected, doesn’t stop the nerves as the CL is difficult to qualify for at this time of the season, the players deserve the chance to test themselves against the teams this offers.
