  1. Robin, It’s been said before he is a new man dealing with a new squad. You just don’t cut loose in public. What you say, you say behind closed doors. As I said earlier what he does is more important than what he says.

    That is me done for the night, so Good Night & God Bless All.

    A truly disappointing night, but night is darkest just before the dawn.

    This was the line up when we were humiliated by Artmedia Bratislava

    Marshall, Telfer, Varga, Balde, Camara, Zurawski (Maloney 60), Lennon, Petrov, Thompson (Aliadiere 66), Hartson, Sutton (McGeady 17).

  4. An awful lot of huns on tonight. Dont get me wrong, some of them dont even know they’re filth.

    Sleep well I’m boarding in 45!minutes so tomorrow will bring some perspective hopeful

    Gail Hail!

  6. Realistically we should clear out Efe ,Bitton,forrest plus Rogic and SJ if they do not sign contract extensions immediately.

    Time to stop playing guys who have failed on to many occasions.

    With the exception of Rogic they are all guys with an overinflated view of themselves.

    Rogic in a different system may reach his potential.

    Forrest has regressed and shown no appetite since Lennon left.

    Efe lacks the concentration to be a top class player.

    SJ runs around a lot to little effect.

    Bitton is an imposter with zero heart.

    We need team players who understand the modern game.

  7. Nice rely hope that BR isn’t one of these guys who has a philosophy about playing football.

    The only philosophy that really counts is that winning is everything and anything else is just bollocks!

    In those conditions and on that park we should have been told to get the ball in behind them at every opportunity and to the press them in their own final third.

    Instead we amassed 75% of possession and only created two decent chances in 94 minutes against a team of part timers!

    We all saw how our defenders struggled with a simple long ball up the middle yet we never once put their defence under anything like it!

    Moussa Dembele hasn’t earned the right to be Celtic’s centre forward.

    This only became embarrassing when I watched our 40 goal striker stretch to hit a cross with his weak leg towards where he thought someone might be. Unacceptable.

    Denny Johnstone could’ve played that shift tonight.

  9. Barney67,

    not disputing that point,

    but we had 10 failures in our starting 11 tonight,

    why not post your view on some of them…

    Because only Efe was the major factor in our previous exits from CL.

    Not Gordon,

    not Tierney,

    Not Sviachiencko, not Armstrong, Not Griff, not Dembele, you see where im going with this.

    One common denominator .

    Why Brendan WHY????

    Those that say they knew Ronnie wasn’t up for it after the Legia Warsaw fiasco, what are your thought’s on Brendan?

    ……………………………………………………………………………………………………..

    I’m only guessing as I have no idea about anything when it comes to the inner goings on @ Celtic.

    I’d suggest too many players were paid too much for Losing too many Cups (Domestic) over the last few Seasons, and given too many chances to make amends.

    The Losing Mindset in Big games is taking hold, those involved have to be removed. All of em most definitely. Brendan has to do it as to not upset the applecart.

  11. And still they make excuses for him, the ball took an unusual bounce, i give up , i really do.

    Blog’s buuzzzy tonight eh?Undoubtably a very bad performance and result but even a 2-0 win next week renders it irrelevant.It’s a sore one to take but if Brendan uses it wisely it could prove beneficial in the long term.

    Some players are definitely surplus to requirements and adding quality,especially in central defence and midfield,is essential.The lack of effective,defence-splitting passes is glaring and has been for some time now.It’s a big job but given time I believe Brendan can sort things out.

    I noticed some folk mention the fun SMSM are going to have,well,who gives a kcuf what they think?The Thugs and Thieves mob?The Fergus/Saddam mob?The Celtic tombstone mob?I could go on.Being concerned with the SMSM’s reaction is like forgetting to pick the kids up from school and worrying what Josef Fritzel will say about your parenting skills.

  14. TR — No creativity, somebody is having a laugh.

    No matter the talent or the ambition you can’t do anything if you don’t get the ball..

    All SB and NB can do is pass the ball side to side and hope someone else takes the responsibility off them.

    How Many Homosexual Leaders of People will be affecting Scottish People and their Voting jibber jabber now if Angela whatshernameagain gets POWAAAAAAHHHH?

    Takes over the New/Labour Leadership?

    Ruth, the Greens dude, Dugsdale, Harvie.

    Aye Marx…. and Woes and Judgements………

    Woe to you who add house to house

    and join field to field

    till no space is left

    and you live alone in the land.

    9 The Lord Almighty has declared in my hearing:

    “Surely the great houses will become desolate,

    the fine mansions left without occupants.

    10

    A ten-acre vineyard will produce only a bath[a] of wine;

    a homer[b] of seed will yield only an ephah[c] of grain.”

    11

    Woe to those who rise early in the morning

    to run after their drinks,

    who stay up late at night

    till they are inflamed with wine.

    12

    They have harps and lyres at their banquets,

    pipes and timbrels and wine,

    but they have no regard for the deeds of the Lord,

    no respect for the work of his hands.

    13

    Therefore my people will go into exile

    for lack of understanding;

    those of high rank will die of hunger

    and the common people will be parched with thirst.

    14

    Therefore Death expands its jaws,

    opening wide its mouth;

    into it will descend their nobles and masses

    with all their brawlers and revelers.

    15

    So people will be brought low

    and everyone humbled,

    the eyes of the arrogant humbled.

    16

    But the Lord Almighty will be exalted by his justice,

    and the holy God will be proved holy by his righteous acts.

    17

    Then sheep will graze as in their own pasture;

    lambs will feed[d] among the ruins of the rich.

    18

    Woe to those who draw sin along with cords of deceit,

    and wickedness as with cart ropes,

    19

    to those who say, “Let God hurry;

    let him hasten his work

    so we may see it.

    The plan of the Holy One of Israel—

    let it approach, let it come into view,

    so we may know it.”

    20

    Woe to those who call evil good

    and good evil,

    who put darkness for light

    and light for darkness,

    who put bitter for sweet

    and sweet for bitter.

    21

    Woe to those who are wise in their own eyes

    and clever in their own sight.

    22

    Woe to those who are heroes at drinking wine

    and champions at mixing drinks,

    23

    who acquit the guilty for a bribe,

    but deny justice to the innocent.

    24

    Therefore, as tongues of fire lick up straw

    and as dry grass sinks down in the flames,

    so their roots will decay

    and their flowers blow away like dust;

    for they have rejected the law of the Lord Almighty

    and spurned the word of the Holy One of Israel.

    25

    Therefore the Lord’s anger burns against his people;

    his hand is raised and he strikes them down.

    The mountains shake,

    and the dead bodies are like refuse in the streets.

    Yet for all this, his anger is not turned away,

    his hand is still upraised.

    26

    He lifts up a banner for the distant nations,

    he whistles for those at the ends of the earth.

    Here they come,

    swiftly and speedily!

    27

    Not one of them grows tired or stumbles,

    not one slumbers or sleeps;

    not a belt is loosened at the waist,

    not a sandal strap is broken.

    28

    Their arrows are sharp,

    all their bows are strung;

    their horses’ hooves seem like flint,

    their chariot wheels like a whirlwind.

    29

    Their roar is like that of the lion,

    they roar like young lions;

    they growl as they seize their prey

    and carry it off with no one to rescue.

    30

    In that day they will roar over it

    like the roaring of the sea.

    And if one looks at the land,

    there is only darkness and distress;

    even the sun will be darkened by clouds.

    No my issue is full time professional players being outplayed, albeit on a unusual surface, by a pub team. If it had happened to thems, we would have had a field day. Also we have supposedly got one of the top managers in the game, but still Efe got a game, and it cost him, same as it cost the other 2.

  27. After tonight on CQN Peter at least now knows that he should paint his driveway white to keep the heat in.

  28. I don’t think any fan doesn’t think we will win the tie . But we wanted to win tonight , and in good style to boot , we wanted to see an improvement on last seasons football . We want to see better players , and we want to see that BR can deliver . Tonight did none of that for me anyway . But that’s just my opinion .
