Remind me again. Who scored for Celtic. Defensive errors be damned. How come we couldnt score against a team of part timers. Not even once FFS.
How can you win matches if you dont score.
Should still get through but bigger picture is our coefficient dropping like a stone, games like tonight matter more than some think. Poor debut for BR tactically.
Brown should be second out of the door…. Following Lawwell… He should then be followed by many other wage thieves…
Arguably worst result in history but I suspect it will be painted as an illuminating experiment by some.
As for John our defensive coach . Dreary me what is he doing on that bench?
Brendan has a mountain to climb- the last thing he needs is hangers on thwarting his progress.

up until this year I would have been quite mad at this opening but having had the 7 months I’ve had I couldnt agree more
we will still be Celtic supporters tomorrow , with the same hopes and expectations .
for any of you who know me Celtic is a big part of my life ……….
but my daughter is obviously a bigger part and has had her problems this year
her oncologist phoned to tell her that her latest scan is good and will require one more round of radio active iodine treatment in December to remove small particles of her thyroid
so although the result was very very disappointing …..as WITS said

I was delighted with the BR appointment,still am.
However I would have expected him to know we cannot play our style of football on plastic parks,tactics tonight should have been long ball and pressure,not mid field tippy tappy .
Why no Roberts,or McGregor,our 2 best players at Season closure ,I understand the inclusion of Efe but that park done him no favours,then of course for me the biggest question mark,he brings on Forrest,a guy who is feart to run flat out on grass,expected to turn the game on plastic,if BR has watched all the games he claims,then this was an error of judgement.
We now need 3 to be safe,plus have given all and sundry a good laugh,that is more hurtful than the defeat.
Shockker that we play pish with the same pish team as last year!

However its the 12th July, we played on an extremely pish pitch. Its was our first game. The transfers have not happened yet.
Hopefully by this time next week we will be less pisher……..with a few new additions.
BR team selection was unbelievable.

Dont worry Bhoys we have friendly at the week-end so Brendan will have a chance to sort it out before the second leg.However just going out and buying players to improve the team will not be easy as Celtic have difficulty in matching the money swimming about in the transfer market also after tonights performance some players might not fancy coming to the hoops. You would hope that whoever at the club thought a £5m bid from Espanyol for Bitton wasn’t high enough wakens up and begs them to take him at as little below that as we can get away with. £3m would be robbery.
Lets not kid ourselves this is the worst Celtic team in history ..no skill no heart no fight

Few people have mentioned that the wrong tactics were used tonight.
I would like to say this is pish! Our players are so immobile and bereft of football maracas that tactics are pretty much, erm well, pish and overated.
We played so much better when we opted for a slightly more direct route one approach to the big Turk Cifti.
We were less pish at doing this, which was a bonus. Martin Oneill built a European run pitching balls up to sutton and hartson and letting the players around feed of the chaos.

I know its early days and I do not want to to get to negative but I have a few questions swirling around in my head. Why was Effe even near the team line up, why was Griff out on the right, why was Forrest put on as a sub and why oh why did Shifty get on. But the biggest one of all is. Where the feck was young Paddy Roberts. Sick as a parrot, this was worse than any of last seasons disasters.

Agree Lawwell has to go. His systematic downsizing has damaged the club drastically.
His No 1 objective this year is his bonus to deliver his £1M package. He will avoid closing any deals for anybody of note until he knows about CL qual outcome.
He is effectively digging tunnels under BR. If we go out of the CL before the Group stages Lawwell will still pick his tidy bonus with the marketing and spin around BR appointment.
Lawwell needs to go as he is 90% responsible for the mess the club is in.
Nobody is excusing tonight’s display. It was dreadful. We still had 75% possession, had a goal disallowed and hit the bar twice.
Whilst it is a major downer, we need to stay calm,

I have one child, my beautiful wee girl.
She has had health issues all her short life and thank God, all have been overcome.
But, we take nothing for granted and I thank God every day for what we have.
I will remember your wee girl and you every day in my prayers.
Remember too that you are blessed to be a parent and I am sure you are the best.
You will get nothing but support, prayer and love from here and you deserve it.

Feckin’ tairge.
Now , the situation will be remedied in due course; that much is certain.
However, consequent upon tonight’s debacle, heads should roll.
When Ronny’s teams put in performances like this, I put it down to him being a fundamentally clueless manager.
Staggered that Brendan appears to have made so many errors in his first competitive start.
Efe – why? Did no-one tell him?
Brown/Biton – guaranteed slowness.
Griff out of position – erm, 40 goals from the 9 position last year..?
Forrest – a heartless wage thief for several seasons now.
Paddy Roberts – where was he?
The only hope is that Brendan will realise he simply cannot rely on most of the so-called big names in his team. If Brown, Bitton, Efe, Forrest, never play for us again I won’t be unhappy.
