After a solid, if not unapproachable, home win last week, expectations are high that Celtic will qualify for the next round of the Champions League qualifiers in some comfort tonight. Beyond the result, the area of most interest is the increase in sharpness, particularly in front of goal.
A week is a long time in preseason. The players will be rested after the first leg and have had more conditioning sessions before leaving for Iceland. Pay attention to any changes in formation. Ronny slipped into a 4-4-2 briefly early in the second half last week. I expect him to experiment a bit like this tonight.

Do our opponents in the next round also play tonight lads?
As a wise man once said “time and the peristaltic wave wait for no man”.

I did not need to substantiate the so called point and chose simply to respond to your depiction of me as a hate filled misguided bigot.
That over
An early goal for US will mean the Icelanders need to score 4.
Something I contend is way beyond them.
So parking the blue bus a la Walter will just invite them to play shootie in.
We can play a high pressing game with VVD and Boyata having the speed to counter their high balls over the top.
We have speed on the flanks with Lustig, Izzy, Forrest and Armstrong.
We have drive from Johansen, Brown and Biton.
Why would we sit back instead of running them into the plastic pitch of theirs?
As I said initially, that’s straight from Walter’s playbook.
Has he mentioned his £30,000,000 yet? – or is it still just ,as much as it takes.’

On which of the Thomson Twins do you base your handle.
The group which like Rangers are now defunct?
Or the bowler hat wearing Tin Tin characters?
My money is on the latter.

owen ….
peristalsis?! every right minded tim knows that rhythmical segmentation is much more important …. peristalsis?! ha! only a sevconian would support peristalsis…
peristalsis v. segmentation… the next great CQN debate … (although, admittedly, perhaps not quite as gripping as the great roasted vs. toasted cheese debate of 2014).
Embramike:
On the down side, we could end up going to Azerbaijan, then visiting the same stadium we played Karagandy!
Dena
Glad you’re on! I received your paper copies of the FAC petition, many, many thanks for your efforts G.
Hebcelt
Haven’t heard that but I’m sure some will still make their way there!
Fundamentalist has bigotry overtones.
I guess I’m a Catholic fundamentalist, believing that only through the Word can I be saved.
Should I apologies for following my beliefs?
Should I apologize for highlighting the obvious Govan leading tilt from the MSM and those in the highest levels of power in the game?
Does, that make me a Celtic fundamentalist also? Double whammy.
How many second tier teams are getting free time on Sky today to push ST sales?
Are Hibs featured? They are arguably the 13th best team in Scotland, one ahead of The Rangers.

You missed the early Android v IPhone wars of the late noughties on here, brutal they were. At the time I had a steam powered Nokia and could smugly condescend every spelling mistake, now my smart phone embarrasses it’s not so smart owner regularly.

Celtic need to be worried about tonight’s game … why? because I’m not worried as I think we will get through comfortably …. however, my predictions have been woeful of late…. so it concerns me that I am not worried …
so, will someone give me some bad news (maybe a slight injury or two) so I can worry … then, we will be guaranteed to cruse through….
owen … just as well I missed that one … I hate to see CQN’ers come to blows, and that one sounds like it could have gotten ugly …. but, in seriousness, you are way ahead of me on the technology front, pal…… you are talking to a true luddite … I dont even own a cel phone!
although, i am posting on a computer… so ‘luddite’ may be too strong a word (although that is what my friends say about my not using a cel phone!)
Is Celtic tv the only medium through which to watch the game?

They all count so thank you!!

Don’t need to justify yourself on here.
A Celtic forum occasionally infiltrated by TTwits and trolls.
Looking forward to a good performance tonight.

-wee Mystic Meg is gettin’ strong vibrations.
Young ACGR just back in from caddying. He was carrying for some auld Japanese wummin.
“How did it go son” I asked. “Pretty good da, she told me she was a widow on the first tee, was very pleasant all the way round, tipped me over the odds and gave me a card with her address and said if I’m ever in Tokyo to look her up”.
Ha ha, that’s ma bhoy.
P.S. He also had a Nakamura discussion with her directed her to the Celtic shop in Dundee to get some hooped swag:_)

Ha Mike in Toronto You have not met a true Luddite until you have met my wife. That woman is truly dangerous around anything more technologically advanced than a pencil, and only then under supervision.
It’s a pity Celtic TV isn’t able to broadcast tonight’s game in the UK.
What I mean is, as a fully paid up member who resides in Germany but happens to be in the UK at the moment- I can’t get to watch.
TV and football, just a pain. It’s on this channel, it’s on that channel, oh, the final is extra, oh the kick off time is at 9am Monday morning etc etc
Can’t remember his name, an old Celtic director (the one with the green teeth if anyone knows who I mean) once said television will be the death of football.
I kinda go along with that now. What does it matter where I am? I’ve dropped about 100 brick for a service. I just want to watch the game.
I just love watching Celtic.
Anyone know where I can watch today’s game in New York?
