After a solid, if not unapproachable, home win last week, expectations are high that Celtic will qualify for the next round of the Champions League qualifiers in some comfort tonight. Beyond the result, the area of most interest is the increase in sharpness, particularly in front of goal.
A week is a long time in preseason. The players will be rested after the first leg and have had more conditioning sessions before leaving for Iceland. Pay attention to any changes in formation. Ronny slipped into a 4-4-2 briefly early in the second half last week. I expect him to experiment a bit like this tonight.

You get BT Sport for nowt, if you change to BT broadband. However the price is going up to £5 a month once the BT Sport Europe Channel gets up and running for the champions league Better than paying over the odds to Murdoch/SKY

I’ve read James Kelman’s “How Late It Was”. Pretty forgettable. May I make a suggestion?
I just finished “The Glasgow Trilogy'” by Malcolm Mackay – 3 novels about a Glasgow contract killer. Spellbinding – couldn’t put them down. Make sure you read them in order. They may be out of stock at Amazon, but they have the Kindle versions.
Good luck!
Weet weet weet I remember reading it somewhere. Surprised me it was so few.
Wits thanks mate. Looking into accommodation near the GAA.

Your post is so off the mark, if it were a darts contest you just missed the barmaid.
I do not hate Rangers, the media or the SFA.
Firstly it’s difficult to harbour hate for a dead entity.
I certainly despise what they stand for.
If you think the Scottish media are fair and even handed, let me introduce you to the opportunity to visit and purchase some prime, mosquito ridden swampland.
And if you think the SFA are fair legislators of the game I suggest a strait jacket and some heavy metal music in an enclosed space.
Please keep posting here as it helps to remind me how well balanced is my outlook on Scottish football and those who run it.
And don’t tell me it’s changed since the Lisbon Lions were all bypassed for caps,
and Cadette’s registration was delayed,
And Neil Lennon was hounded by the Hampden blazers,
And Tonev was suspended for the wearing of the green
All while
The dead team were cheating and ignoring the rules
Failing to comply with the simplest of filings,
All ignored by the copy and paste elite of the media.

Kelman is good but not particularly suited to holiday reading. I enjoyed all Pete Brown’s books on beer when on holiday – maybe that says something about me…

Dreadful stuff from Seamus De Faoite, interviewing GSL from his him in the criminal quarter of Jo’burg.(his words).
Good news is, that there is more to come.
So far we hear that he is meeting Ashley, to get a better deal ……and unless the Hun spends more money than us, then they will remain second class.
Him and his co investors will inky provide the “shortfall” should the fans’ cash not be enough.
Sycophantic stuff from Sky’s finest.

I am a traditionalist – been supporting Celtic and Celtic values for 48 years.
You, my friend, sound more like a fundamentalist – there are plenty of them on here who subscribe to the nonsense peddled by the ‘so-called’ Celtic Trust.
These people see Celtic through a ‘blue mist of hatred’, and the heavy veil of their militant political agenda – they don’t really see Celtic at all!!!!
Fundamentalism is the noisy and mischievous sediment of any movement, or, organisation.
How’s ‘ Super Maurice Johnston ‘ in no bodies tap 5 ?
Kiddin aside .. Big Vic and Stan Petrov .. Must be contenders.
If you look at their valuation.
Wits thank you for the B&Bs. Also looking at renting a house as a few family members are thinking of making the pilgrimage with me and the Mrs. Trying to work out best value.

Short term rents off houses in Dublin might be a problem but there are plenty of apartments available (city centre) which cater for short term tourist lets ( under 2 weeks etc)
Talk of Jim White interviewing King reminded me of his interview with Souness, just before he became manager. Extremely stomache-churning as I recall.
Best five Celts in last forty years? Can’t argue with top four being Dalglish, McGrain, McStay and Larsson. I’m obviously not counting wee Jimmy in that period. Could suggest a number for the fifth slot…both George Connolly and wee Bobby maybe not long enough within the period.
Celtic to win 3-0 tonight.
