Looking for sharpness and formation variations

436

After a solid, if not unapproachable, home win last week, expectations are high that Celtic will qualify for the next round of the Champions League qualifiers in some comfort tonight.  Beyond the result, the area of most interest is the increase in sharpness, particularly in front of goal.

A week is a long time in preseason.  The players will be rested after the first leg and have had more conditioning sessions before leaving for Iceland.  Pay attention to any changes in formation.  Ronny slipped into a 4-4-2 briefly early in the second half last week.  I expect him to experiment a bit like this tonight.

Your post is so off the mark, if it were a darts contest you just missed the barmaid.

I do not hate Rangers, the media or the SFA.

Firstly it’s difficult to harbour hate for a dead entity.

I certainly despise what they stand for.

If you think the Scottish media are fair and even handed, let me introduce you to the opportunity to visit and purchase some prime, mosquito ridden swampland.

And if you think the SFA are fair legislators of the game I suggest a strait jacket and some heavy metal music in an enclosed space.

Please keep posting here as it helps to remind me how well balanced is my outlook on Scottish football and those who run it.

And don’t tell me it’s changed since the Lisbon Lions were all bypassed for caps,

    and Cadette’s registration was delayed,

And Neil Lennon was hounded by the Hampden blazers,

And Tonev was suspended for the wearing of the green

You, my friend, sound more like a fundamentalist – there are plenty of them on here who subscribe to the nonsense peddled by the ‘so-called’ Celtic Trust.

These people see Celtic through a ‘blue mist of hatred’, and the heavy veil of their militant political agenda – they don’t really see Celtic at all!!!!

Best five Celts in last forty years? Can’t argue with top four being Dalglish, McGrain, McStay and Larsson. I’m obviously not counting wee Jimmy in that period. Could suggest a number for the fifth slot…both George Connolly and wee Bobby maybe not long enough within the period.

    Celtic to win 3-0 tonight.
