My biggest disappointment was in the poor outing from Stefan Johansen.
What has happened to him this season?
He just had no impact on this game, or few others this season.
James, Armstrong and Griffiths ran their socks off but there was no support.
Time to loosen the purse strings and spend VVD’s transfer fee on a couple of ready made impact players.
We lost three goals in this tie from corner kicks. Unable to counter movement from them or attack the second ball.

Those having a go at Ronny get a grip of yourselves. He’s 39 years old, has been thrust into this with half a squad of junk left by the previous manager, and had virtually pennies to sort it out. He needs to learn a few things but a few players let him down big time tonight, Virgil, Johansen and Brown in particular.

And the wheels come off the Ronny Deila experiment. P67 reckons Malmo were scared of our height, not when they were scoring from corners apparently. Ffs I could accept it more easily if they had carved us open twice. But 2 goals from corners, deary me.

One other thing
It means a lot of Sunday football for us as well :-(
Called correctly after the first leg by most posters that support Celtic on CQN, chances nothing more than 50/50, turned out wasn’t even nearly that close, and 3-1 at CP flattered Celtic, but only for a few minutes. The heart break bad decision that follows Celtic like a bad smell, always has to be factored in, with a perfectly good goal disallowed, but that wasn’t the difference between us and the Swedish champions.
Malmo are infinitely better prepared for the CL than Celtic and they were easily the superior side over two legs, the Blog will be avoided at all costs, but I hope ‘all sftb’s anhedonists turn out like fannies ‘
Wasn’t happy with the line up and thought is was a mistake to swap your left back for the ‘utility man’, Scott Brown was targeted and completed marked out of the game, they allowed Bitton room, he wasted it, and Stefan Johansen had yet another mare. The great white hope James Forrest was double marked into anonymity, Stuart Armstrong will flatter to deceive all over again in the Europa league, ( which I’ve declared tonight, outwith my budget )
Malmo technically superior with ‘arguably’ lesser players, a bit like Legia, Maribor, Salzburg, Artemedia and a host of others in our recent history, it’ll be rough for Celtic fans, those that support that is, and the Daily Record will have VVD on a straight flight from Stockholm to Southampton priced 6 million, then the board bashers can have open season.

1 thing is for sure to me now…….Id say Ronny has a blueprint of how a game should be, but if it works out a bit different from the scenarios he coaches for then the team are pretty clueless and do not have enough leaders and organisers to adapt to the situation that they are presented with and most importantly…….i dont think Ronny has a clue about how to change what he set them out to do when it goes wrong.

O.k then, what is a Champions League level team? That’s quite an interesting question. Some teams do pretty well in the CL without spending lots of money and play in small leagues. I don’t really care about playing in the CL. Celtic are a great club, we need to think where we are going though. We won the European Cup with lads born all within a half hour drive of Celtic Park. That should be the blue print. We’re a small country, but we’ve punched above our weight before, and we can do so again.
