    Some strange decisions tonight ,Izzy was caught for pace on the wing last week and we put Charlie in who is slow Berget had him beat for pace , Forrest played well down right 1st half then switched to left and was anonymous Griff unfortunately is not good enough for Europe nor is Ciftci will be good enough at home,Ronny has a blind spot and can’t see when johansen is poor and needs hooked. We have to lift ourselves and get back on track v St Johnstone . All the best to TCR hope your recovery is swift HH

    The 4 goals we lost over two legs were 4 of the most basic goals you could ever hope to lose. Cross the ball in to Celtic and it’s a goal

    Charlie was under pressure tonight by a speedy winger.

     

    However they didn’t score from Charlie being beaten by the winger.

     

    They scored from two corners which is down to central defense organisation.

     

    I don’t see anyone standing up and organizing his team mates.

     

    I don’t see anyone wanting to take responsibility and attack corners.

     

    Static defenders marking their zone.

     

    When VVD goes let’s replace him with an old fashioned no nonsense centre half who will shout and bully his own team mates and opponents.

    So what if we’ve missed out on 30 million quid? If we can’t pay the living wage, I don’t want it. Were we going to waste that money on pish like Juarez, Boerritger, Bangura, Amido Balde as well as others who have done sod all.

     

     

    I’d rather we invest in scouting and youth. We could have an amazing youth policy in Ireland and Scotland.

    Those having a go at Ronny get a grip of yourselves. He’s 39 years old, has been thrust into this with half a squad of junk left by the previous manager, and had virtually pennies to sort it out. He needs to learn a few things but a few players let him down big time tonight, Virgil, Johansen and Brown in particular.

    3 Things

     

    1 – Malmo tactics spot on – put our back 4 under pressure when we had the ball – stopped us playing our normal game

     

    2 – Scott Brown had no influence in the game either he was marked out of it (not sure he was) or he was carrying an injury

     

    3 – As much as I loved Lennon I was critical of him not changing a system when it wasn’t working – Ronny you have the same disease

     

     

    Finally well done to Malmo they deserved it

    Oooooft… a dire performance… going out with a whimper in a thoroughly emphatic defeat.

     

     

    Pass marks to Craig Gordon, who had a few wonderful saves to prevent it being 4-0, or even 5-0.

     

     

    A reasonably good performance from Saidy Janko in his first European match, most of the Malmo attacking threat came – unsurprisingly – down the other side of the pitch.

     

     

    Charlie Mulgrew – at left back ??? – a dreadful decision from Ronny D. After the Legia Warsaw game last year it was obvious to everyone that he is a passenger/danger at this level.

     

     

    James Forrest was our best player by a country mile, he tormented their defence constantly and they doubled up on him, which should have created space for others, but then we stopped giving JF the ball !

     

     

    Johansen was brutal, our worst player and a total blind spot by the manager regarding his value to the team. I felt sorry for Leigh Griffiths as he didn’t get enough supply, and as for Nadir Ciftci… he brings nothing to the table… send him back to Dundee !

     

     

    Europa League here we come… :(

    Playing Mulgrew at LB was a mistake ……keeping him on for the whole game at LB was pigheaded intransigence or gross stupidly ….

    I didnt agree with Charlie comin into RB, but we’re in danger of choosin yet another scapegoat. This game wasn’t lost by CM- I’d struggle to give pass marks to anybody apart from Gordon an Forrest – who was subbed ffs

    I’m going to step back from an emotive post just now, but I dont think Ronny comes out of this very well.

     

     

    Away from home for a team of our relative standing in Europe there is only one way to play and that is to be ultra compact. Stay tight / defend in depth and frustrate opponents and hit on the break. At home you can be more expansive.

     

     

    Poor tactically, and beaten by hungrier team. Perhaps also a number of our players aren’t as good as we think.

     

     

    Sadly the Europa League doesn’t float my boat…..hope that changes!

    That was sore. Celtic were very poor.

     

    2 shocking decisions in 1st half didn’t help but we were outfought in 2nd half which is unacceptable. Malmo are a poor team. We should have beaten them.

     

    But hey, I will still wake up a Celtic fan.

    I would like to think we will strengthen…

    Midfield playmaking forward passer.

     

     

    A striker and back to playing two up front, LG was hung out to dry tonight, not his fault.

     

     

    Oh, and after tomorrow we will need to replace a centre back.

     

     

    Saying that, everyone has a bad day at the office, we just had too many that did tonight.

    Its time that posters get a reality check, wake up and stop making excuses for our defence, open your eyes the reality is that we are dire at the back, admit it , stop making excuses for the age of players, if your good enough you should be playing, we are not good enough.

    You know what..this was embarrassing …..even if celtic had scored 4 at celtic park..this lot would still have beaten them on their own patch……watching this was torture……just as well they took their foot off the gas….could have been 5 or 6……granted malmos shooting was awful but at least they knew where the goal was…their keeper could have stayed in the dressing room for the second half ……to get beat like this from a jumped up pub team……is dreadful……..anyway if ronny and johnny have reached their heights maybe its time for moving on……if they cant beat teams like this with the set of players at their disposal…..get somebody else in ffs……and don’t ask me who………ronny thought the malmo manager was funny…..well at at least he out foxed you tonite ronny bhoy……cos you were clueless.

    If you were at the game last week then you might have heard a few groans of frustration or, aye even the odd shout of abuse when someone lost the ball but unless you’re posting from Malmo you’re getting a totally different perspective of the fans ‘performance’. The team were piss poor tonight and the fans remain the best part of Celtic.

     

    See as far as it goes, this is a blog to talk about Celtic, the good and the bad and Celtic supporters have every right to be pissed off with what they witnessed tonight, far less than have the finger pointed at them being in any way responsible for the manner in which we were beaten.

    Lightning does strike twice then. Poor as we were after losing the goal, the failure to spot the handball and award a penalty, leaving them with 10 men, was crucial. But we reacted poorly to the abysmal decision, as we did the last time it happened to us, and that’s why we’re out. Very disappointing performance overall.

    We have a no mark manager who wins in Scotland because he can outspend the league and take their best players.
