McCoist quite right to hold firm line

980

In terms of pure logic, Ally McCoist was quite right to insist, “I can also assure every Rangers fan I will not be accepting any talk of stripping the club of titles. That is something we will never accept and everyone at the club shares this view.”

It is outrageous to put Sevco in the position of accepting Rangers are stripped of previous league titles while due process has not been carried out.  The very fact that the SFA and SPL are negotiating with Sevco over this matter is reason enough for McCoist to issue a firm rebuttal.  Quite simply, if the authorities are prepared to negotiate, their offer should be rejected until the last moment possible, at which point they will be meekly accepted.

The SFA and SPL must allow due process to take place and remove any need for Sevco to rubber-stamp a judgement on Rangers.  It is wholly inappropriate to discuss or agree the consequences of a guilty verdict, or subsequent punishments (losing titles won illegally is not a punishment), until a verdict is recorded.

Due process, please, nothing more and nothing less.  If Rangers didn’t illegally register players for over a decade neither they nor Sevco have anything to worry about.

TET – I think you should invite Neil out to use your famous Celtic crested pool, then let him crap in it.

That’s effectively what you’re doing to him on here!

    Buenas noches :-)

Things are not going right for our manager?

Who held the league trophy last year? Despite competing with a team that didnt pay any tax, it was Celtic. That’s the truth and facts you are looking for.

    Sixteen Roads,

You do? Respect for a brave opinion.

I must admit I thought you were better than that.

I have defended Lenny tonight, blamed him for feck all and you still can;t see that.

PL is calling all the shots, I have said that all night, and yet you can’t see that, dissapointed mi amigo.

Take care mi amigo, please read my posts.

We definitely need to meet for a drink!!! You don’t know me at all :-)

I will follow Celtic, home and away, for as long as I am able. However, that’s does not make me blind or naive, I have many reservations about several aspects of the current set up at Parkhead.

I won’t come on a blog and batter my team, there are plenty of others who are much more willing, and capable than me.

I just believe that no matter how poor we are on the park or how badly run we are, I’ll still be a Celtic supporter and still want to go every week.

That may come across as condescending or supercilious, it’s not my intention. I won’t stop feeling that when people talk about us being more than a club, then that really is the case.

  7. JQB’s – sensible stuff again. Thx.

TET – Looks like you’ve upset TTTT. I blame the vino.

I agree about Cha although he did have pace going forward and as you say, always seemed to be enjoying himself. I think he loved playing for Celtic. Wilson, so far, has been poor too but he has yet to have a good run at a season without injury. Our Mexican friend! Juarez. Did you rate him?

No looking for facts, the truth is staring us in the face, we have been on the recieving end of cheating for decades, the truth is out there now.

You tell me where I have derided the club, serious question, all I have posted tonight is things that I believe to be true, nothing at all against the club, just a difference of opinions on how the club is run.

  15. Best just to support the team and see what happens, the players definitely respond to positive support.

Yup, Franco did outlaw Freemasonry. Hitler did too, Gooering despised them and Mussolini did away with them too while Saddam Hussein was far from a fan. Very brave of you to admit admiration for Franco.

Never ever thought to presume I know anybody without meeting them, only going by your posts, was surprised that you questioned Lenny’s ability to learn from past mistakes, and you did hence my post.

We all want what’s best for the club, we all have different ideas on how to achieve the same, hence the blog, talk is good.

I still think Lenny is hamstringed.

So,it’s only natural, when i read about the atrocities carried out by the Communist side, during the Spanish Civil War,against the said faith,my own faith…that i thank God that Franco stood firm against that evil ideology.

I do feel sad though for those poor, brave Irishmen that were mislead to their deaths, fighting for the Communist side.

That’s just the way it is.

Im in a wee nowhere town in Spain just now… In the middle of its wee fiesta… I could tell u about the wee drunk spanish fella lickin a dug… But maybe anothrr time

Anyway, wot should i see in this wee backwater but a spaniard wearing a hearts top… So i meanders up to him and asks por que? Turns out he liked the colours. So i drew his attention to my piqaunt celtic t-shirt enhanced, if i may be so bold, by my lithe muscle-bound frame. His eyes lit up – i think – as he announced that he was a barca supporter. As if the two went together.

I told him he’d have to do better than that

All of the leaders that you mentioned were terrified of anything of power within their own country.

The Masons, by their very secretive nature, posed a threat that to them could not be permitted.

  30. Sydney tim,

no team has a divine right to win every game,

would be a pretty boring game if those that spent most money won all their games,

anyway do you still feel that Celtic will not get past Helsinki,

and is your opinion based on you tube videos

  31. g64

    Aye, sadly that’s true.

I’m a Tim, always have been always will be, just don’t ask me to swallow what the suits tell me, they are a bit like the media in my eyes, they have always been joined at the hip to the huns, and I am still waiting for definative proof that they were/are not.

The Celts for change did their bit in the 90’s, they ousted the suits who didn’t, in their opinion have the best for the club at heart, I believe, rightly or wrongly that the suits in charge today are in the same vain.

Money rules the world, and our club are a very small part ofthe world that the suits who run the club are part of, sad to say.

    Sixteen Roads,

I too was brought up a catholic, but was taught to question the motives of authority. The temporal authorities in the catholic church in spain made the wrong choices in my opinion. Jesus, above all, was for the poor was he not? Do you know the background to the republic and the coup?
