Miku, Lassad and Ambrose need to stretch legs

842

If you are going to Celtic Park tomorrow you will see a lot of photos like the one above.  Outside the ground 200 bucketeers will be collecting to raise money to send Oscar Knox for treatment for neauroblastoma.

Be prepared.  Bring spare cash with you, have it ready and do your bit for Oscar.

For the second week in a row we take on the team at the bottom of the table; see how that worked out last week.  After an awful August which saw Dundee’s return to the SPL marked with one point and no goals scored from four games, they picked up three points at Tynecastle before losing a lead late in the game against Motherwell last weekend.  Manager Barry Smith will have watched how St Johnstone went about their business six days ago and will believe his team can nick something at Celtic Park.

Neil Lennon (and some of us) will welcome the drop in intensity from Wednesday’s Champions League tie as Celtic are likely to give game time to those who joined the club three weeks ago.  Miku, Lassad and Ambrose all need to stretch their legs.

Big shout again for the guys raising money for Celtic Youth Development through TicPick.  It’s £1 to enter and you win £1000 for predicting 10 results.  I’ve gone for Celtic to beat Dundee, West Ham to beat Sunderland, Aberdeen and Motherwell to draw, Man City to beat Arsenal, St Mirren to beat Killie, Dundee United to beat Hearts, Man Utd to beat Liverpool, Hibs to beat Inverness, Chelsea to beat Stoke and Spurs to beat QPR.

  5. Ask the referee?

If a zombie defender slices a clearance from an in swinging corner and the ball is heading towards goal, then it hits his detached hand, hits the crossbar and is cleared off the line, what is your decision?

  6. TSOAL

Legally in the middle of a quiz I cannot answer that – please direct ant queries at the end. I am sure there must be a logical answer.

  9. Mate of mines son is the goalkeepr of a junior club, can’t say which club wouldn’t want the boy to get into trouble.

Anyway,Neil.lennon was at 1 of his sons games and he was lucky enough to have a conversation with Neil.

He asked Neil who was the most skillful player at parkhead.

The answer was wanyama and Neil reckons hel end up being a top class striker.hh

  10. I complained to the BBC on the 3rd July about their coverage of new Rangers not being in the SPL. Today I finally received a reply:

“Thank you for your email and I apologise for the delay in replying.

I was away at the time the item was broadcast. I have now had an

opportunity to listen to the piece. The report was intended to examine

the economic impact on local economies of the potential absence of

supporters of Rangers Newco from the SPL.

However, I accept that there was a lack of context in the piece as to

why the old Rangers had gone into liquidation and the other allegations

of wrongdoing against the club, which I think would have provided the

audience with a fuller understanding of the story.

On Radio 4 News programmes, we aim to provide a fuller and more balanced

coverage of stories over the day and I would point out that although The

World Tonight did not provide extensive coverage of the collapse of

Rangers, we have done aspects of the story on a couple of occasions and

our sister programmes, such as Today and PM have also covered it.”

At least Mr Burnett seems to recognise the difference between old and new.

  11. TET

Exactly. To calm your fears, there is a formula in place for those that over-guess. This is calculated by degree of probability that a correct answer would be gained by each additional guess divided by how much I can count to.

Looking forward to tomorrow.Collecting for wee Oscar then taking my seven year old son to his first ever Celtic game, courtesy of hamiltontim. He’s in bed just now but I can hear,”Ceellllltic,c’mon you bhoy’s in green” coming from his room.

We had thousands of answers and postcards but yours was the first one out the hat. Congratulations!!

That was an obvious one though because as the hand was detached it obviously was not belonging to the zombie team, so therefore was an infringement of play from the home side and therefore a penalty to the zombies up the other end of the pitch

    Congratulations once again.
