Miku, Lassad and Ambrose need to stretch legs

842

If you are going to Celtic Park tomorrow you will see a lot of photos like the one above.  Outside the ground 200 bucketeers will be collecting to raise money to send Oscar Knox for treatment for neauroblastoma.

Be prepared.  Bring spare cash with you, have it ready and do your bit for Oscar.

For the second week in a row we take on the team at the bottom of the table; see how that worked out last week.  After an awful August which saw Dundee’s return to the SPL marked with one point and no goals scored from four games, they picked up three points at Tynecastle before losing a lead late in the game against Motherwell last weekend.  Manager Barry Smith will have watched how St Johnstone went about their business six days ago and will believe his team can nick something at Celtic Park.

Neil Lennon (and some of us) will welcome the drop in intensity from Wednesday’s Champions League tie as Celtic are likely to give game time to those who joined the club three weeks ago.  Miku, Lassad and Ambrose all need to stretch their legs.

Big shout again for the guys raising money for Celtic Youth Development through TicPick.  It’s £1 to enter and you win £1000 for predicting 10 results.  I’ve gone for Celtic to beat Dundee, West Ham to beat Sunderland, Aberdeen and Motherwell to draw, Man City to beat Arsenal, St Mirren to beat Killie, Dundee United to beat Hearts, Man Utd to beat Liverpool, Hibs to beat Inverness, Chelsea to beat Stoke and Spurs to beat QPR.

  1. While watching my boy at his swimming lessons I tipped my toe of the swamp at Hun media. In a thread about Green’s nonsense about Motherwell, one guy actually quotes Martin Luther King. The quote about, at the end it’s not the words of our enemies we will remember but the silence of our friends.

As someone who has visited Atlanta, went to his church and the centre opened in his honour, I am stunned.

Good God, twisting a man of peace words and sentiments is beyond belief. This was never ment as a threat but as a appeal to peoples conscience. God forgive him.

  2. 67Heaven ... I am Neil Lennon..!!.. Ibrox belongs to the creditors on

I see Newco are getting the same ‘softly, softly’ approach from the media as the zombies enjoyed …….. Amusing ….!!!!

  3. Italian TV quiz show (for eejits) about 30 mins ago.

Quizmaster – suitably tanned – : ‘Which astronaut aboard Apollo 11 was the second man to walk on the moon’:

    a- Phil Collins

    b)-Louis Armstrong

    c)-Buzz Aldrin

    Contestant – ‘Eh…Louis Armstrong?’

To me that sounded like an answer a hun would be happy to answer incorrectly.

But seriously, that is one nice kit. Put me down for several orders.*

*+ a set of wooden dumbbells, two Indian clubs, and a penny farthing.

    __________________________________________________________________

That kit looks fantastic and the video was very impressive. So impressive, I have went and put a tenner on Celtic winning this seasons CL @ 999/1 on Betfair.

If all the players can play like Scott Brown did on Wednesday we would not be far away from winning it. He really did lead by example and hopefully our more skillful players will be just as inspired in all the future CL games this season.

Let’s hope in 1 years time people around the world are talking about Lenny’s Lions.

    Evening all.

I’m looking for some advice please. I’m a blue badge holder and just got a ticket from a company called UKPC in a Tesco car park for not displaying the badge in a disabled space (I forgot).

I am tempted to ignore it, just wanted to know if anyone has experience of this company with regard to follow up, etc.

    Thanks in advance.

  6. ElDiegoBhoy apparently the EBTs were looked at by Nimmo in his earlier panel which ruled on Whyte and Rangers but there was insufficient infromation (RFCIA wouldnt give him the data) to come to a conclusion at that time.

Now they have the data and they will look at it.

That is my understanding of it anyway.

  7. The Prince of Goalkeepers on

And on a more cheerful subject I’m off to Portugal tomorrow and wondered if there would be any chance of catching the game on TV (maybe an Irish bar in Albufeira?). Anyone know if Saturday league games shown abroad?

He also used this week’s events of the murder of the two WPCs as some form of evidence regarding the offensiveness of the banner – shameless.

I wonder how many of hours of TV this week included realistic scenes of supposedly alive people getting shot? Keevins didn’t seem to object to this, I guess he would defend the notion of freedom of choice.

  9. Eldiegobhoy.

Of course Nimmo Smith is looking at the EBTs in the context of the SPL/SFA rules and he makes it clear that he is not part of a legal process which could look at the legality of EBTs.

So did EBTs constitute an undisclosed second contract payment and therefore breach the rules is his remit. IMHO

I’m not taking any comfort thus far from what Nimmo is making public.

I am very uncomfortable with the Sevco receiving punishment for the deeds of Oldco. Unless of course this is as part of an agreement for fast-tracking them into SFL3.

It is clear cut for me – the dual-contract scandal is for the now defunct club. Suitable punishment will be the removal of the honours from a history that ended in 2012. Sevco, as a club, have no history and so cannot have titles removed in punishment. Any other course of action surely feeds their claims that they ‘bought’ the history. Perhaps the histrionics are a deflection tactic so that we sleep walk into a scenario where they crow against the punishment but are secretly overjoyed at the implicit transfer of history that will have occurred.

  14. I sometimes listen to SSB because it’s hilarious. It’s amazing the amount of spew they throw all over the airwaves.

The clowns who present this, being declared internet luddites, don’t realise their tripe can be heard all over the place and all they do is manage to make themselves even more of a joke than they already were to begin with.

Most huns I spoke to today thought the banner was clever and humorous,to my face that is.

I no its killing them having to follow sally and newco, there’s less and less of them that will give me eye contact.

    Long may it continue.

Have you read some of the comments below that blog?

One would assume from the vocabulary, grammar and punctuation of some posters that you could believe that they have a modicum of intelligence.

Then you read it…….deary, deary me.

Sorry for the delay in response- hivin ma tea.

You have to wonder of some of these characters are at the windup- you would have to be as ignorant and conceited as Alan Partridge to still have some of those views in the 21st C AND still think it was acceptable or in any way normal.

Are there still people who genuinely think like this in modern Scotland- people we work with, or in our families and maybe our neighbours?

I really think McMurdo is becoming a psychic magnet for many hun loon-balls out there- the thing that worries me is that its the semi-intelligent ones with a bit of articulation that are the most heinous of all the orcs- they should know better, instead they are often even more hateful, vomiting up tonnes of execration, to an extent that the bonafide knuckle-draggers could only ever hope or imagine.

Re the Nimmo preliminary rulings I see Newco’s claims being rejected on all the relevant points and three issues being set aside until it is found if they have broken rules then they will be assessed.

I am not by nature a fan of the Scottish legal system/judiciary but it seems to me that Nimmo Smith is going about his business in a professional manner.

By instinct I see all such panels as open to Masonic/establishment influence, but hope to be proved wrong.

  22. Wonkyradar

Occasionally I dip into FF just to get a flavour of their take on current affairs etc….

It certainly seems to me that there are growing numbers who think along the lines of those who posted comments on McMurdo’s blog.

Either that or I’ve been wrong all along, there is life on Pluto, they have managed to pervade our lives and habits and they now know how to use the internet
