Missing Organ Grinder

1063

It took a late goal from Anthony Stokes to secure Celtic’s win at Tannadice in August.  That led to a five match unbeaten run for Dundee United, which ended two weeks ago at Pittodrie before Inverness knocked 10-man United out of the League Cup on Tuesday with a 120th minute goal.

Jackie McNamara has stabilised his team and they are likely to finish in the top three this season, but the defeat on Tuesday, which led to a storm of controversy over the behaviour of Nadir Ciftci, will be a major challenge ahead of United’s trip to Celtic Park.  The champions should win comfortably.

There was little glibness evident in The Herald’s sombre interview with Dave King, published this morning.  Despite apparently getting along famously with antagonists on either of Rangers International shareholding, he was unable to reach a deal, perhaps because he didn’t speak to the Organ Grinder behind the club playing in Rangers colours.

Indeed, neither King, nor anyone else trying to oust, or do a deal with, the current board, knows the ultimate beneficiary behind Blue Pitch Holdings et al.  Is it you?  It’s not me, but I suppose that’s what everyone is saying right now.

That question, is the only show in town.

King wrapped up his comments to The Herald by saying “Over the last two years we have all witnessed the destructive value when individuals, who should be putting the club first, advance personal agendas through the media in an attempt to influence the most important stakeholder in Rangers Football Club – the fans”.

Self-awareness is a rare thing.

Mr King is 100% correct on the destructive influence those who have divided his new favourite club have had.  Without the modestly self-named Blue Knights causing ultimately unproductive havoc, Charles Green’s consortium would surely not have over-paid and under-charged, leading to the situation King believes could lead to administration.  The question now for those on the outside is, do they have the votes, or are they just peeing on the Broxy Bear Burgers?

HunSkelper – for sure the goals are easier to score down in Div 3 but someone who is banging them in as regularly as he is should ensure he comes to someone’s attention. The fac that Sky covers Sevco now as much as they ever did Rangers means his goals will be seen too – unlike most 2/3/4 div players. When at United he scored 58 goals in 167 appearances so I think, to be fair to him, he is too good to be where he is. Unfortunately he can get more cash in Govan than at Pittordie or Easter Road or Inverness where he would do fine.

If they go into admin, he will be an obvious target for bargain hunters.

Warnock, oh dear Ally – looks like your time has finally run oot.

  3. Just read on Celtic news now, that the DU striker given 2 straight red cards in league Cup, will be playing against the Hoops today ?

    How is that ?

Thought a straight red meant he missed next game, irrespective of league or cup ?

    Hail Hail

  4. Big Mike many posters, including Tom and Petec, make comments about life the universe and everything on this blog. We are a broad family, like most healthy families. If you want purely Celtic the official site has a fair bit. Blogs like this have the other bits. Hail Hail

  7. Taurangabhoy thanks for that I do use other boards such as TSFM, KDS and even visit Hun Media as I do find this board quite boring at times. I was only questioning what abortion has to do with football. God Bless the Celts!

  9. So they appealed a decision from Tues night

What happened to the fast track appeal process ? As it also sates they have cited Butcher and Jackson, so a meeting to decide on this, but not the Red card ?

Oh aye, playing Celtic on Saturday, so let’s ignore that part, or am I just thinking usual SFA

We are the Ally McCoist Preservation Society. Can we lobby the Planning Department at GCC to have Ally declared an ‘A’ Listed building? I don’t want anyone making any alterations to his status at Piebrox.

Hi, my friend – hope yer well.

Yeah, it’s one of my suspicions that – without the exact figures in front of me – that an awful ‘lot’ of our recruitment comes through foriegn agents ?

When you think in financial terms of the amount of frogs that have to be kissed before a prince is found…..a ‘lot’ of the Celli

  12. …..a lot of the Cellic fans money seems to be ‘disappearing’ oot the door ?

    Too many foreign agents ?

Police Scotland are a joke if someone egged my house they would get a slap. As much as a think blacks an arse don’t think he done anything wrong HH

  18. I’d forgotten just how vitriolic and idiotic Traynors parting shot from the Daily Record had been.

He has burned too many bridges with that one. I hope he has provided well for his retirement or can get himself a job writing for the Horrible Histories series – he has plenty of material now that he has been in the RFC archives (I assume they were bought when OldCo snuffed it?)

How long until the Cost Cutting actually reaches the bloated third division playing staff and management team? Or should I rephrase that question to read ‘What do you mean they aren’t really that concerned about cost cutting at all?’

Answers on the back of a greggs bag please…..

  19. Hun skelper – while I agree with your sentiment it’s what any of the forces would have done, not just police Scotland.
