We all have an opinion – last night at 11.30 I gave mine on Roony – it wasn’t good (for him)
My main gripe is I just don’t see and progress – last night was the same as Malmo (worse)
I have never bought into the “new generation” of young managers
I accept (and we have had a few nuggets) that we do it with players – but not the Manager
Im not suggesting any knee jerk reaction like Ronny out now
RD stays in charge until end of season – but we need to be at least 6 points clear by end of November
Not winning the league would be the biggest failure in Celtics history – so priority No1 win the league
So assuming he can win us the league (BTW I think I could win us the league)
Between now and May find an established manager (not a project or an analyst)
No more experimenting Celtic
So far I can argue my point – where it gets difficult is who do we get and just to make it a bit more difficult who would come ??
I know its easy to say sack Ronny – but no point if there is not a better option
Frustrated indeed

Only thing worse than anger for Lawwell and Desmond is apathy. This morning’s anger will soon turn to apathy as last night’s performance is ever more clearly established as the new normal. That will mean fewer people paying to watch this keech. Yes there are many constraints on Celtic these days that are out with our control. That means the question us ‘are we maximising our potential within those constraints’? The answer both at football and club level us a resounding no. My guess is the Board will yet again deflect from their own failings by firing Ronny. It’s clear he, Collins et al are a busted flush. If you don’t believe me ask Kris Commons. I’ve said on here before I would make Commons our player manager. A highly intelligent guy who cares deeply about the club, has great integrity, a deep connection with the fans, isn’t weak and won’t be pushed around like poor wee, out of his depth Ronny.

Last night was simply more evidence of long term decline.
Celtic are on an escalator going down whilst trying to go up. Standing still is an effort.
Anyone who has read Soccernomics will have seen the decline of the likes of Celtic and Liverpool predicted, not because of footballing ability but simple economics.
Those economics force Celtic into playing Moneyball, but Moneyball will only keep us on the same escalator.
We need to get off but after watching Malmo and Molde I ve been thinking why not make games v the Nordic clubs the norm?
Molde and Malmo were not pub teams. If you think that try running a good pub team and learn about football.
Molde last night were stronger, fitter and faster than we were using players no where near our wages. I can think of no Scottish team who could beat them based on last night. Yet they are not top of their league so what does that say about our standards?
Also look at the way their clubs are run (Malmo have a membership scheme with one man one vote) and the approach of their national associations to developing their game. They also play summer football (in what passes for summer).
I’m coming round to trying to form a Nordic league including Denmark. Travel distances are not excessive and a transport market would develop to meet needs. In any case all away games could be broadcast live at CP or by CTV at home as viewers would be overseas from the games location.
That is the kind of vision I would like to hear from Celtic. They have enough evidence on a corrupt SFA to support a divorce (whilst agreeing amicable terms) and our departure would shake the Scottish game out of its comfort zone based on the money generated by years of hatred. Aka the bigot pound.
To quote Douglas Adams Celtic should be cultivating such a set up and saying to the rest of Scottish football. “So long and thanks for the fish” (and we have left plenty for you to compete over).
Things cannot go on as they are. There has to be a Vision and a workable plan to achieving it.
I’ve said it before and II’ll say it again. A manager with EPL experience who would walk over glass to get to Celtic Park – don’t expect the beautifical game of Jock or Tommy, but he won’t take any MSM shit.
Ooft, loads of fancies today & difficult to narrow it down to one nag.
Foundation, Scrutineer & Salateen all look hard to beat @ Donny, as do Alyssa & Koora at Newbury. Racing Europe & Winter Alchemy are the fancies @ Kelso, but it’s off to the NH holy ground of Cheltenham for my nap:
Dancing Meadows 5.05 Cheltenham
All the best to everyone… especially Angel Gabrial !

Hi Angel Gabrial,
indeed you did, sir, I really don’t know what happened there!
HUGE apologies, and nothing personal, you understand… maybe the excitement of an 11/10 winning nap got the better of me! ;)
I will update the league table when I do this week’s results, but you will jump from -£7.00 to +£2.00.
I have double-checked all the other selections from last week, and think everyone else’s selections have been recorded.
Apologies again…
Cheers, fleagle1888
