Nawrocki breaking the lines

70

The St Mirren result at Aberdeen dropped as you and I glowed in reflective glory from the result at the weekend.  0-3 away from home is an excellent return at any venue for any side, Saturday’s result is a signal that this evening’s opponents are to be taken seriously.

Even against a side below them in the league, St Mirren put on a counter-attacking display.  Defend tightly and hit on the break.  Brendan Rodgers will surely have watched the game back in preparation for today and will know that the smaller pitch at St Mirren Park will make the home side’s game plan even more effective.

I am looking forward to seeing Maik Nawrocki play a full 90 minutes.  His passing through the lines on Saturday was a standout feature of a very solid performance.  Breaking lines from central defence is a shortcoming we’ve had for a couple of years; hopefully we have a resolution in the making.

Neil McCann, a little runt I generally can’t stand, did a real number on Cantplaywell on Sportscene on Saturday. Spent a couple of minutes on video evidence that Callum ran him ragged all over the pitch and left him looking like a wee boy that had sneaked on to the pitch.

Our fans’ reaction to his substitution was gloriously funny.

Killie not putting in the same turbocharged performance they did in that second half against us ? McInness will surely have them supercharged up for it , won’t he ? -)))))

Thanks for the links earlier; a good read.

“It is a pity that Paul 67 is perceived as a conduit to PL as it colours the perception of Paul’s blogs. If he is then the State of Celtic blog risks being viewed as propaganda and an attempt at expectation management.”

I did see someone drop this article onto Sentinel Celts suggesting the article was just that. I have seen this here also for many years but also miss the detail of HOW PL controls P67’s blogs.

    When you state:

“I only look into CQN rarely because of the linkage to PL whom I personally found to be disingenuous at best, although I have a better understanding of why, and I’m afraid that colours my view of what appears on the main blog.”

Then why all the ifs? Is P67 just a front man for PL in your view or if not may I ask what is this “linkage to PL” and how does it colour the blog in your view? I do like to appreciate all views on the sources of any material I read, especially if agenda driven beyond a persons opinion which is how I already have read this blog and most other Celtic blogs I read.

P.S. For anyone on mobile having issues with the ads between pages, simply “pinch” you screen to zoom it out and then the X is at the top right; easier than trying to scroll to find it!

    ===============

The if’s were to cover the perception since a perception is not based on a single fact but is something gathered over time. It does not colour the CQN blog, it colours the perception of what folk think it is.

Perception is the ability to see, hear, or become aware of something through the senses.

“the normal limits to human perception”

    2.

the way in which something is regarded, understood, or interpreted.

“Hollywood’s perception of the tastes of the American public”

The “ifs” covered 2 possibilities and possibilities are not statements of facts but alternatives based on what is perceived.

I referred the CQN article on SC because that is a site where some there hold the perception of the link to PL under the definition of perception and it was grist to their particular mill.

On the “How” . For a start PL does not control CQN blogs but like msm it is a useful channel to influence supporters thinking or get useful feedback like Spidey 101’s post.

    ——-

On the PS: When I said scroll that is what I did, as I was faced with a blank white wall and did not know where I had landed so I took a walk around using scroll to find the x, but I normally use pinch when there is text to read so large it either fills the screen or is too small to read, however it is a pity folk get put off posting because of site navigation and another point on that for Paul.

Rather than say new blog is up, why not put a link to it rather than readers fannying about getting there?

  15. Two wingers on a tight pitch like St Mirren Park is a bit of a luxury , but there again with 5 wingers in the squad there’s not a lot of choice on system to play.

C’mon Celtic, get the job done tonight and go into the break on a high.
