With news that SPFL clubs are able to send in proxy votes from this morning in advance of the 12 May EGM, that matter could be dead today, leaving us all to wonder why Newco failed to provide their dossier of evidence against the SPFL before votes can arrive to assure they fail.
St Mirren, Hamilton Accies and Motherwell have either issued strong statements of support for the League, or, as SPFL directors, signed a letter asking clubs to support their position. Newco, Hearts and Stranraer have to carry the vote of every other Premiership club, including Celtic, as well as 75% of the lower leagues.
If I can borrow another gambling analogy, Douglas Park may be sitting with four aces in his hand, but if he does not know when play his cards, he will inevitably lose. The issue has moved on from the competency of the SPFL board, to the sheer incompetency of those who purport to “hold their feet to the fire” to get out of bed early enough to play the game.
The requisitioners seem full of paranoid self-righteousness, but pent-up rage in an echo chamber achieves nothing if you miss deadlines and the process needed for success. Newco have made this look like a lazy half-arsed attempt at insurrection. The only questions is, is this a deliberate attempt to fail, or are they just that incompetent? My money is on the latter.
And do you know what will bother Newco the most? Check how they led the media in the early days, this was presented as a Newco v Celtic issue. It became Newco v St Mirren, Hamilton Accies, Motherwell, Dundee etc. The unsurpassed indignity. Celtic are on the metaphorical beach, our work is done for the season.

The Scottish Labour proposal only referred to NHS pay. The SNP scrapped the limit on all public service pay.

I have read the 3,000 word statement by MacLennan of the SPFL, and I find it to be comprehensive and quite straight forward in its explanations of the SPFL Vote and all the workings before, during and following that vote….and unless the Huns have a video of the SPFL’s Doncaster and Dundee’s Mr Helms, in some form of compromising sexual situation, I dont see how the Huns can have any argument against the SPFL Voting and decisions ?
As I posted earlier, if/WHEN the other Clubs vote by Proxy in favour of the SPFL, and therefore the Huns are gubbed BEFORE any EGM on May 12th, which would be made utterly pointless for obvious reasons….I fully expect the Huns to use that defeat ( By Proxy) as an excuse NOT to reveal any so called “Explosive Evidence”, that they claim they have…so the SPFL, Every other Club and the Medias and fans will NEVER get to see it….IF it ever existed ?

As I said in my post at 4.28, why have the Huns appeared to have FAILED to Alert ALL other clubs to any so called “Evidence” that they claim to have BEFORE now, ESPECIALLY when they SHOULD have been anxious to have as much support from other Clubs leading up to any EGM as possible….and again Especially if they were fully aware of clubs being able to vote by Proxy…way ahead of any proposed EGM, which could be rendered meaningless , if the Proxy vote went the way of the SPFL ?
IF the Guy Roger Hannah was/is correct about the Huns planning to show any evidence to the other Clubs ONLY 24 Hours ahead of the EGM…Then that strongly suggests that the Huns FAILED to be aware of any possible Proxy Voting…which wouldnt surprise me, as any possible “Support” from other Clubs could be lost LONG Before the EGM on 12th May, IF they planned to wait until the day before to provide any evidence ?

Re Doncaster, MacLennan, McKenzie etc, put everything else to one side, these guys have a livelihood and a reputation to fight for. They are on the front foot and standing their ground. The hun have tried to apply pressure by bluffing with a bad hand. They should be brought to account for this, Park, Gerrard and club should be charged with bringing the game into disrepute. Stewart Robertson’s position on the SPFL board is also untenable. You cannot call into question the corporate governance of a company and remain on their board. Its idiotic. And we should be telling Parks of Hamilton to GTF.
