Newco keyboard hard man mode indicates screaming insecurities

192

I’ve been writing CQN for 16 years so I’ve seen enough keyboard hard men to know how they operate.  They write aggressively, try to humiliate anyone holding an alternative view, and then bluster when it is revealed beyond any reasonable doubt their facts are wrong.

Newco look every inch the keyboard hard man with their hidden “evidence”.  They released a statement yesterday, saying they intend to release their evidence “well in advance of a general meeting to approve an independent investigation”, but not, apparently, before such a meeting is confirmed.

It is inconceivable that fewer than 11 clubs will object to this motion.  If they have any evidence of wrongdoing, show it now, in order to gain support for a General Meeting.  Refusing to show it until and unless a GM is approved, gives them the classic keyboard hard man get-out clause.  They can hold onto their position forever because they set criteria up front that allows their evidence to never be viewed.

Behind all keyboard hard men are screaming insecurities.  Well-adjusted people find better ways to communicate their views.  All I can tell you about Newco right now is that they look more insecure than at any point in their history.  It is a stage in their inevitable decline.

46 years ago today Celtic won their world record ninth successive league title with a 1-1 draw in front of 13,500 fans at Falkirk, a result that relegated the home team.  That Saturday game was followed by league games against Aberdeen on Monday and Morton on Tuesday, before a Scottish Cup Final against Dundee United the following Saturday.  As you would expect, instead of bleating about having to play three league games in four days, Celtic completed the Double.

Victory celebrations were muted as the Falkirk game came three days after a 2-0 defeat to Atletico Madrid in the European Cup semi-final.  A result that still casts a bitter shadow.

For long, that week’s achievements seemed impossible to repeat.  We have not been to a European Cup semi-final, or won nine-in-a-row, since.  But the weeks ahead hold great promise – stay tuned!

    Aye, very good.

They could film it all as well, like Celebrity Big Brother, just to keep us all amused.

  3. Reggie,

The blog requires varied opinion. Your opinion is as valid as anyone on here.

Far too many posters have been intimidated into leaving, don’t become another statistic.

    Statement from the SPFL Board

The SPFL board met this evening to consider requisitions by Heart of Midlothian FC, Rangers FC and

Stranraer FC calling for an EGM to consider a resolution put forward by them.

The board considered the request and has now called an EGM for 11am on Tuesday May 12th

    ————————————————-

They should have called it for July 12. That would have screwed their minds.😉

Sounds like a herd immunity model to me.

Also what about everybody else in the stadium, estimated to be about 300?

  6. Sevco said in their last statement they would supply the other 41 clubs the dossier in good time before an EGM.

But they thought there would be a vote.

The SPFL have bypassed the voting stage and called an EGM themselves.

They must be solid sure there is nothing there.

But that all means that the evidence can be shared from tonight.

Park is going to look ridiculous if all he has is stuff that’s already known and also if the evidence isn’t emailed to the other clubs tonight or tomorrow morning.

  7. Imagine Liverpool playing at home behind closed doors in a match to decide their first title in thirty years. Anybody think the streets around Anfield would be empty for that?

Another 2 weeks for the huns to make up sh#@!,and leak it to the rags,I wish they would just die.

  10. I think that once the Huns had 2 backers then an EGM had to be called,

At this EGM Clubs have to vote on whether a fresh Independent Investigation should be called,

Huns need 32 of the 42 Clubs to get new Investigation.

They would need to have hard evidence of a major conspiracy to get this through.

  11. I see the Celtic Star have an article saying the Dutch FA

are now reconsidering the decision to void their league

after threats of legal action from some clubs.

Not sure they have bypassed the voting stage, 3 clubs have asked for an EGM and that meets the required number to hold the meeting.

It will depend on the willingness of teams, the SPFL and TV to organize.

    —————————————————————————————————-

Sorry disagree. It will essentially be down to Government and Health Authorities to decide if these games are allowed to go ahead.

  15. David, i think they needed 75pc of teams to approve the egm but the spfl board must have the power to call an egm themselves and thats what they’ve done.

I reckon Sevco will be shocked tonight because they reckoned that at best the spfl would ask for votes by email by friday to call the egm.

There’s no way it would have went thru and there would be no showing of evidence to the other clubs.

If they don’t start showing evidence soon or if they have none then that QC and Doncaster have called their bluff.

    I think.

  16. Nally81

my reading of it is that only 3 teams are required to request an EGM,

but 75% of teams need to back Sevcos call for nother enquiry.

  17. NALLY81 on 27TH APRIL 2020 9:00 PM

It looks to me like the huns have been working in concert with Hearts and Stranraer. Calling an EGM is the easy bit. They will have to show their hand now, if they have bluffed their way through this they will look like fools but i expect they will manage to add some spin for their own punters, something along the lines of the world is against us.

  18. Watch out for a face saving agreement before the 12th of May, all for the good of the game and making all 3 concerned look like they have done the game a favour,I hope Sevco go bust ,and no other incarnation is ever seen again, Hearts got money to finish their stand from who or whom and for what reason?

  19. FAVOURITE UNCLE on

Anyone on here from springburn remember JOHN THE CON from BALGRAYHILL THE TALISMAN pub. There is a photo of the BARRAS 1980son ELECTRONIC TIMS.Well it’s the man himself LOUD N PROUD.

  20. Surely Hearts and Stranraer have seen the “dossier ” and decided their is enough evidence or are they that desperate?

  21. prestonpans bhoys on

You got to wonder who makes these rules up, three clubs can call a EGM that just over 7% of members. Then for a resolution to pass needs 75% per top league/championship and last 😵two leagues

  22. Compare and contrast the clamour for an investigation into goings on yet not a pip bout a certain shatoootedness in 2012.

  23. NALLY81

Unless I’m completely misinterpreting P67’s article, he seems to be confirming what you say – that is a vote was needed to pass the holding of an EGM.

If that’s the case then you’re spot on – the SPFL board have bypassed the vote and called their hand.

  24. Gene- Seems they count a single glove as an item of PPE, rather than a pair, and much worse seemingly…

Seems Panorama worth watching tonight 10.45,not sure why…

    —–

Regards PPE, Government have been counting one disposable glove as PPE. So for example 1 billion items of PPE is in fact 1 billion individual gloves. In reality 500 million pairs. Makes the numbers look better.

Just forced myself to watch the 2010 huns game at Ibrox on Sky . Poor Tony Mowbray, he just had no idea of the scale of the cheating he was up against.
