Newco keyboard hard man mode indicates screaming insecurities

192

I’ve been writing CQN for 16 years so I’ve seen enough keyboard hard men to know how they operate.  They write aggressively, try to humiliate anyone holding an alternative view, and then bluster when it is revealed beyond any reasonable doubt their facts are wrong.

Newco look every inch the keyboard hard man with their hidden “evidence”.  They released a statement yesterday, saying they intend to release their evidence “well in advance of a general meeting to approve an independent investigation”, but not, apparently, before such a meeting is confirmed.

It is inconceivable that fewer than 11 clubs will object to this motion.  If they have any evidence of wrongdoing, show it now, in order to gain support for a General Meeting.  Refusing to show it until and unless a GM is approved, gives them the classic keyboard hard man get-out clause.  They can hold onto their position forever because they set criteria up front that allows their evidence to never be viewed.

Behind all keyboard hard men are screaming insecurities.  Well-adjusted people find better ways to communicate their views.  All I can tell you about Newco right now is that they look more insecure than at any point in their history.  It is a stage in their inevitable decline.

46 years ago today Celtic won their world record ninth successive league title with a 1-1 draw in front of 13,500 fans at Falkirk, a result that relegated the home team.  That Saturday game was followed by league games against Aberdeen on Monday and Morton on Tuesday, before a Scottish Cup Final against Dundee United the following Saturday.  As you would expect, instead of bleating about having to play three league games in four days, Celtic completed the Double.

Victory celebrations were muted as the Falkirk game came three days after a 2-0 defeat to Atletico Madrid in the European Cup semi-final.  A result that still casts a bitter shadow.

For long, that week’s achievements seemed impossible to repeat.  We have not been to a European Cup semi-final, or won nine-in-a-row, since.  But the weeks ahead hold great promise – stay tuned!

  1. More made up figures by the Tories, during this crisis, not surprised going by what’s happened so far.

  2. Sorry to go on but my reading of it is

    2. Three clubs are needed to ‘make a call’ for an egm.

2It then needs 75pc of clubs of clubs to back that call

3.Then they need 75 pc of votes to order an enqury.

Sevco were not expecting the egm to get thru a vote hence no showing of evidence now they HAVE to.

They have accused a QC of all sorts of stuff that could see him lose his career and now they HAVE to show it.

If Park has nothing other than what’s in the media then i don’t think an apology would cut it.

  3. Nally81,this is from a Telegraph report,

“The requisition of an EGM requires 3 clubs to support it,

Rangers were seconded by Hesrts and Stranraer”

sorry i canny copy and paste.

  4. Imo : We need to get through this together. Recriminations towards Boris Johnson, Nicola Sturgeon, Leo Varadkar, et al can wait.

  5. The huns just want to wrap our achievements in as much keech as possible to obscure their continued failings…………

Thur mates in the meeja are pandering to thum in part because they are supporters but also to extend their livelihoods.

This I think is about building up their bent, hunned-up asterisk agenda to allow thumsels and especially the mouth-breathers in thur support to stomach another Timmed-up Triumph.

  6. Huns tactic will be to declare the evidence is so explosive they can’t reveal it otherwise it will tip off the spfl so suspend all office bearers , independent review etc , etc … Hearts and Stranraer now revealed as total clowns …. their all in strategy will fail

  7. When the trumped-up dossier is fed to the knuckle-draggers via scoddland’s finest

they will simply ignore logic and build the victim mantra – as jaw droppingly, utterly bonkers that is…………..but it’s not about evidence or the lack thereof…..it’s just abooot the keech…….and the guff.

    It’s aw thuv goat.

Look out for more of the same on Friday when, in the spirit of “new normal” 37,822 will be the new 100,000.

(Actually won’t be Friday – Friday’s figures won’t be released until next week after they’ve been “collated” and “analysed” over the weekend)

I believe Paul67’s header has been misinterpreted by a few.

The requirement for the SPFL to hold an EGM does NOT require 75% of clubs support, as others on here have tried to explain.

The following extract, from BBC web explains this quite clearly.

“The SPFL is required to hold a general meeting of all 42 clubs if it receives requests from three members and the organisation’s board said on Monday it had met “to consider requisitions by Heart of Midlothian FC, Rangers FC and Stranraer FC calling for an EGM to consider a resolution put forward by them”.

“The board considered the request and has now called an EGM for 11am on Tuesday 12 May,” the statement added.”

    —————————————————

With Hearts & Stranraer due to be relegated as things stand, it was always a certainty that 3 clubs would be found, to request an EGM.

    That’s the easy part done.

Now, at the EGM, these clubs will request an independent inquiry into the actions of the SPFL re the ballot that called for ending the season early. They will need 75% of clubs to agree to this, otherwise no further, independent, inquiry will happen.

Sevco now have until the 12th May to make good on their statement re offering up there dossier of evidence.

I fully expect Sevco to come up with something.

Now. It may all be circumstantial in that the “evidence” may not technically highlight any faults on the SPFL’s actions, and as such will not alter the previous vote result.

But it may prove embarrassing to certain individuals if private messages are revealed in public.

    Hypothetically speaking of course.

    Auldheid

But will they? (come clean on their acceptance of the 5 Way Agreement)

That would be preferable to a vote of censure at the next AGM, already supported in draft by sufficient shareholders, who have seen the evidence of mendacity to them at last AGM ,to have a motion of censure tabled for the world to see at the next AGM.

If Rangers can obtain an investigation on a matter where they have no locus (what exactly have they lost as result of the last SPFL vote? ) then I do not see The Celtic Board surviving questions about their handling of Res12 AND LNS where they have locus on Res12 and as much right to call for AND get an investigation into the then SPL led LNS Commission (that the SFA not SPFL refused) as “Rangers” have now.

Even if the current campaign by Rangers fails, the charge of mendacity still stands, but coming clean on Celtic’s part in the 5 Way would be a TOTAL game changer. It should open the door to closure on the stalled SFA JPDT on Res12 and justify a revisit to LNS.

  13. With sincere self interests Hearts, Stranraer and Sevco are embroiled in a patent example of mud slinging.

In the process they are depriving smaller clubs of desperately needed revenue.

Hearts and Stranraer are facing relegation and the Hun hordes need to be placated as their hopes of stopping NINEINAROW were dashed after they successfully defended the close season title.

This is pure spite from Govan. They see themselves as the victim of their own cheating in 2012 and want to reek havoc in retaliation.

Who will verify and judge their secret information? Who will be on the panel?

    How was it obtained?

If their “independent” enquiry fails, then what is their next move?

Will they gather another couple of clubs and post another enquiry into the enquiry?

Meanwhile, the smaller clubs are hurting while Sevco go through their death throes.

    To misquote Will

Life is but a walking shadow, a poor player

That struts and frets his hour upon the stage

And then is heard no more. It is a tale

Told by an idiot, full of sound and fury

    Signifying nothing.

I said at the beginning of this crap by the SPFL that it would not surprise me if they tried to cause a complete feck up in order to call off our well deserved 9IAR. They should have called us champions straight after UEFA gave them the green light.

    I hope I am wrong.

Maybe they are scheming up some way to kowtow to the huns.

But maybe all they’re doing is trying to spin things out for as long as possible to sustain interest in the game.

Lets face it, once the league is declared what else is left?

  18. The other reason Newco don’t want to call the league they should refund ST holders for unplayed games. They may say there is a no refund policy but don’t think that would stand up in court.

  20. There’s absolutely no reason why Sevco can not today furnish all the clubs with their dossier.

They’ve committed to doing this well in advance of the meeting and need to act.

The SPFL board also need to see this dossier well in advance so they can prepare their defence.

I don’t for a second think they’ve got anything bar Scot Gardiner’s forwarded what’s app messages. He’s undoubtedly their whistleblower.

Sevco have painted themselves into a corner here and will be humiliated before this finally plays out. I’ve a feeling McKenzie in particular will fillet Parks when this is over.

GIDAY.good news THE BONDI is open again although i did not see any ABOS streaming into the water.

  22. The part that I’m not getting is that Stewart Robertson is on The SPFL Board does he not have a conflict at this point that would make his position untenable?

  24. The huns will release their evidence to clubs shortly before the meeting. It will be unconvincing. They won’t get 75%

They will continue to release statements and rile up their fanbase.

  25. Gene: re a Season Ticket refund.

Here in Ireland car and private health insurers are being asked to give partial refunds to customers on the basis that they won’t be using either during the lockdown. (Private hospitals temporarily nationalised).

I received an email from Admiral telling me i was being

refunded £25 on each of the cars i have on my Multi car policy,

they say it is because claims are greatly reduced at this time.

  28. The huns are raging because they know that they cannot stop us from being crowned champions and completing a record second 9 in a row. The only way they can take their rage out on is to try to bring down the SPFL board .

  29. If Celtic are awarded this title after 30 games we shouldn’t worry about what the animals say

Claim it. They aren’t shy to claim shared titles or titles won with incorrectly registered players etc.

Focus minds. 10 in a row will shut them up. 11 in a row will sicken them.

They are the Espanyol of Glasgow.
