No rest period for Emilio will be welcomed

673

I know I’m not the only one with a pavlovian dislike of hearing Celtic players mentioned in international match reports in June.  Preseason training is only four weeks away, quickly followed by the Champions League qualifying round, so these weeks should be for rest and recuperation.  The one exception to the rule, this summer, is Emilio Izaguirre, who is set to play two World Cup qualifiers for Honduras over the next two weeks.

Emilio missed most of last season through injury and then sat out much of the remaining part of the campaign due to the impressive form of Charlie Mulgrew.  He is the one player in the squad who benefit from competitive football to restore his edge, and confidence.

According to reports, one third of divorces filed last year contained the word ‘Facebook’.

It has been speculated amongst most psychologists that Facebook is the cause of the exponential growth of narcissism in Western culture in recent years.

  3. Green`s statement is a wonderful thing…… if his objective is to further alienate fans of all Scottish football clubs.

You really have to laugh at the huns

Equally, the alternative sanction of expulsion from the Scottish Cup is itself a very serious punishment which would also have a severe impact on Scottish football as well as on our Club.

They expelled themselves from the SC last season at almost the first time of asking and as for the impact on Scottish football.

    No big deal.

should be met with expulsion, the only way to nulify association and nulify international sanction.

Greeny spews the same sort of pompous tripe as his undoubted mentor,Minty and his glove-puppet Whytie.

He doesn’t even have the wreckage of a club yet via his loanshark offer and he’s talkin’ all statesman-like.

There must’ve been an emergency extrajudicial meeting of the ludge today to get the stitch-up in place over the extended Jubbly w/end while the proletarian orcs are basking in the sunshine of Gloriana.

He,in his sense-of-entitlement arrogance thinks we’re all gonna swallow this nonsense.

Is it just my read on it, or is this muppet threatening to go BACK to court in an effort to push their luck even further?

Am I the only one who’s read on this is that if the appeal panel acts in a way they don’t like that they’ll appeal the original CoS verdict on the grounds that they wanted it referred back to a new judicial panel hearing in the first place?

He is actually threatening another court case. That’s my read on it.

  16. Green thinks a ban from the SC is punishment enough? A Hun I work with was spouting this rubbish.

Quite apart from the fact we now have the guilty being able to decide their own punishment (New one on me), did someone not post yesterday that a team was disqualified from the SC for having a player who was banned come on as a sub in extra time when they were winning 7-1?

That and the fact TFOD may as well have been banned last year as the were knocked out pretty early on.

My take on Green’s statement is that he is trying to make a big thing of a Scottish Cup ban when that’s what he would see as a result. I hope Regan is not involved with this crap.

because the appellate tribunal in its written judgement made clear the view they held on the appropriate alternative sanction to be imposed in the event that the transfer ban was successfully challenged.
