  1. Hunderbirds are Gone on

I also thought that Nir Bitton played very well last night (as he did in the first leg of the tie). He retains possession better than any of our midfield, which is impressive given that he does not always take the easy square pass option. His longer probing forward passes suit Griffs style of play. He can still be annoyingly lackadaisical at times, and he has to work on that, and his general concentration. I hope we retain his services, beyond his current contract, as his style of play offers us a different option, compared to our other midfield players and wingers.

    🍀⚽️

  2. The ease of that win suggests we should really be going straight into CLQ3. On the other hand, I wouldn’t want to go straight from pre-season friendlies to playing a team like Cluj.

  3. Does the player have a say as to whether there’s a sell-on clause?

Maybe a sell-on could work against the player as it may complicate a potential big move.

Sell on clause for Moussa ?

It`s none of our business. If it were , we`d be doing the job instead of opining irrelevantly on CQN.

And thereby feeding our delighted ” friends ” in the Scottish media who relish the opportunity to divide our support.

    Kudos.

I see we got a warning from Dan Petrescu, apparently.

Is seems to be another Scottish media tactic that before we play a big game in Europe against a side against whom we are favourites but who could be tricky that the opposition manager comes out and ‘warns’ us.

I didnt see any quotes from him that actually said ‘I’m warning you Celtic’, it was more about how they hope they can progress further in the competition and how they were able to see out their match last night, which would make the headline all the more baffling if the MSM hadnt been using the same formulae for 50 years.

Hope it goes as well for them as the pre match warning last week from Max Ugge (Nomme Kalju captain)!

Liked the way Jullien was trying to play last night, stepping forward when he could, and aggressive if there was a ball to be won,a few more games under his belt and we’ve got a leader in there.

Their patter may be like watter , but it would appear that it falleth not on stony Tim ground.

Scottish media have gone blatantly feral since I graced oor shores.

    Their agenda is obvious.

There are still Tims whose main source of ‘information’ is the MSM, which is bemusing on a number of levels alright.

    Perfectly understandable.

In 2019 I don’t think its perfectly understandable. Print media I mean.

    20 years ago, absolutely.

But with all the tech and and excellent sources of information being updated constantly its hard to fathom why a paper printed the previous day can be someones go to source. 75 year olds today would have been mid 50s when the interwebs were taking off so shouldnt have been left behind by the tech boom.

And I don’t need to mention the abundance of p1sh they print about our club, as you know!

Should the SPFalphabet soup be writing to the Rangers and asking them if they are financially capable of fulfilling this season’s fixtures?

  15. We were linked with him last month but interest seemed to have petered out, has it been revived? H H Hebcelt

  16. Got 25 caps , his fellow Danes who played for us were pretty decent, at least Reiper and Vieghorst were. H H Hebcelt

  17. Desperately seeking to sell Morelos Seethen Gerrard takes the Rainjurz route, of pressuring a player to say he’s staying, or leaving?

At a normal football club or even a very new one this would happen, after a formal offer had been made and accepted.

But then when you’ve money to find for the courts, player contracts to mutually end, and lightbulbs to fuel it’s all fair game at new cheats on the block FC.

According to FIFA (Coca Cola) rankings Romania are ranked 27th while Scotland are at 48.

Why would we, the Scottish champions be favourite to win a tie against their best team?

  20. The good thing Bournesouprecipe is that Scottish Football Writers and Pundits will highlight this pressure on the player as being very unfair and link it to Sevco’s dire financial situation.

    They will won’t they?

  21. Celtic Mac our coefficient is 31 Cluj are 3.5 This not Scotland v Romania it’s Celtic v Cluj H H Hebcelt – not saying it will be easy

  22. As for the Danish right back……not sure if we have any interest in him or not but his profile and his Scandinavian pedigree should make him at least on our radar.

Scandinavian players in the main have been very good for us over the years and have been great value for money.

Our scouting should be heavily focused there and in Eastern Europe.

Every time I hear us linked with an English based player (unless young player – Mousa/Connell for example) I despair……good championship players are too expensive or don’t want to come to Scotland.
