Operation relieve the gullible of £411 each underway

“My father wasn’t at all keen on me becoming a Rangers supporter.  He was a Glasgow policeman and because of that he resented the whole football scene in Glasgow.  ‘He was actually very anti-football.  When we were kids growing up he was very vocal on his dislike of the bigotry in football.  The police in Glasgow at that time saw it as a basis for thuggery.

“My father took me to that first game reluctantly…”

Dave King, shooting the breeze with the Daily Mail in March last year.

“Like all of you who read this letter, I have always taken pride in being a Rangers supporter. It is something I inherited from my father who, in turn, inherited the legacy from my grandfather. This is what Rangers fans do. We pass on our pride and belief in Rangers to our children.”

Dave King’s letter to the season ticket marketing database last week.

One of the two statements is probably true, although with Dave, who knows?  South African judge, Brian Southwood, referred to King as a “glib and shameless liar”.  Despite this, the SFA decided he was an appropriate person to run a football club, free to send out messages like this, with the objective of relieving fans of an average of £411 per person.  This is what happens when you enable people already branded a shameless liar, what do you expect?

I hope the SFA and Trading Standards are alerted to what’s going on, don’t leave it until it’s too late.

I’m waiting for new of the Ben Nevis Huddle, which should have taken place at the peak of the mountain in the last hour.  Over 80 people set out on the climb this morning to raise funds for the Celtic Foundation – to feed the hungry, provide shelter for the homeless and help others in need.

It’s a magnificent Celtic effort.  My wee brother’s up there, you can give his fundraising a pound or two here.  Thank you.

Tricoloured, Tyldesley is such a prat.

Italian & Catalunyan tv people said we were the first club to do the treble when the european cup/champions league is won. Heehaw from Tyldesley about it in his commentary at the Barca Rube game a week ago yesterday.

The likes of him are one of the reasons we enjoy England or an English team losing.

AS IF…do you really need a “prat like Tyldesley” as an excuse for what comes natural??

    LOL

I’m not sure anymore which would give the most pleasure (in games of similar importance to both teams) a Rangers(previously)/Sevco or an English loss. Pretty close??

Agreed he is decent and I think he could do a job for us. However he won’t be a celtic player any time soon as we just can’t compete with the wages on offer in England. ..

Moravcik, the etims twitter feed has the information about Ronny’s plans for our academy & youth players.

I’m not on twitter but I use google to get in and read their tweets.

    Its a good read.

Heard about us picking up the boy from Rangers. On the flip side someone on another Message Board has heard that Man Utd are signing one of our best prospects. Wouldn’t name him. Heard anything about that?

  8. Wits..Decent is what he is, injury prone he is..Outwith our budget he is(thankfully)..Griffiths would score more in Scotland imo..

It look like Ronny has a clear strategy re the Youths/Development team that should bear more fruit as in progression to the first team. I like his ideas and as a club it is one area we did really need to look at.

    Tusker, ha ha.

Tyldesely, Barry Davies, Motson and their ilk have annoyed us for years with their tunnel vision with regard to the English national team.

Tydlesly when he commentated at the 2002 Champions League , said when a streaker came on, what else do you expect, we are in Scotland.

Turned out the guy who ran onto the pitch was a serial streaker from Merseyside.

  11. What is the Stars on

Bgx. I disagree, but it makes no difference as he is outwith our budget.

However if was within our budget I would take him. But I am old fashioned 2 up front ( big guy and little nippy guy)

But it’s moot point, we can’t shop in England

  12. It was old and it was beautiful and its colours they were fine..” Turns out Electric Circus serves Buckfast. Game on…!

  13. Wits…No we Cant Mate…Big Guy Wee Guy 2 upfront has gone, Finished, Kaput, outthewindae..Never to be seen Again…

Maybe. But you never know. A team come along like Barcelona for instance and try something revolutionary like playing with no one up front. If successful they will be copied tactically, football coaches are no different to people in many walks of life. They will try to copy a successful formula.

  15. Dallas…

The name doesn’t ring a bell, you’re right about the target, it was exactly one mile from B&S and was used to calibrated range finders and periscopes.

Feck me, I’ve just broke the official secrets act, if I’m not on again you know why;))

  16. Zombiemedia purring with the appointment of the new Jose, apparently we’re all beilling and he’s the guy who will blow us away with his attacking passing football.

He’s 52 been a manager for 2 year and Brentford punted him so I’m shitting myself, big announcement on the famous “warchest” coming soon haha

  17. Wits..Agreed..Its Gone Mate…Let it Go..Its like Watching Auld Joan Collins Movies and Thinking…Well..You know Where im Going Here..laughing. .

Used to see that from Westerton train station.

We used to joke that it was for giants playing basketball.

  21. Wits .We Really Should Have A Diamond Jackson CSC…i Mean Really, Can you imagine The Banners…Im in. .Ha

  22. The MSM are currently being handed the details of what to write. Young bright manager (52) principled ( was not offered new contract) attacking philosophy ( can’t defend ) radical thinker ( daft) …..which way would the opinion have been formed if he was taking over at Celtic Park?

No worries, we all know. I wish him good luck in his life and every misfortune in his new job. The Paul le Guen appointment had me worried initially until the Orcs self combusted, this time round there will be no player power to disrupt the manager. No players means no player power.
