Oscar Knox Paving Stone

1523

Last year at BMCUWP’s hootenanny in McChuills, many CQNers clubbed together and raised funds to buy something appropriate in memory of Wee Oscar. A fantastic amount was raised and we are delighted to announce a paving stone was purchased at very, very, favourable rates from Celtic, and now has its pride and place very close to the statue of Big Jock.

The tribute reads, Wee Oscar Knox, Heart of a lion, Courage of a champion.

Make sure you look out for it next time you are at Celtic Park.

  1. Well done Celtic supporter and top-quality footballer, Wayne Rooney on making and taking the penalty in his 100th game for England. Class, son.

Hope you get utterly pumped in your 101st cap, however.

I had been considering that same point this morning.

When God got scunnered with the carry on of those he put in charge, he decided to wipe them out.

He pondered between Fire, Disease and Flood, not Willo.

He chose the latter as he reckoned it would be the handiest and would also give the place a good clean.

He instructed an honourable man, Noah, which was an Old Testament form of Peter, to build him an Ark and crew it with those of a righteous nature, who would be entrusted to correct the evils of the past.

Who will sign on to this crew?

Apart from being blue! The Slovenian top reminds me of the Celtic away top – the one sponsored by ‘peoples’ I think.

  8. I’ll take a few seconds of CQN’s time to thank the REAL Celtic men that I spent a couple of very enjoyable hours with in the Blane Valley yesterday afternoon.

I wont mention any names for fear of missing out any of these special Tims.

    Thanks, Guys.

    =======================

I hope not. And I hope WGS feels the same way – our lads must be buzzing after last night’s victory and eager to get into the english. We’re flying, so why allow the bubble to burst by stooges getting hammered?

Let the English line up their excuses by playing reserves.

For Scotland: Same team, same attitude, with any luck, and a memorable victory.

A wonderful tribute to a real Hero, in the plaque to our own Wee Oscar. I spoke to oor Boaby earlier today to congratulate him and the Hootenanny Mhob.

An angel was sent among us, and God decided he wanted him home. God Bless Wee Oscar and his family.

We are using a mic of quarter casks and hogsheads with a great mix of quality oak including some virgin, so 4 or 5 years will work for great malt Whisky as good as any 10 year old.

Pop up and see us anytime. The new make spirit is great. 3 miles west of St Andrews.

Sounds fantastic! I’ll certainly pay a visit in the new year when I’m back up home.

What a multi-talented bunch the CQN crowd are. I’ve been wasting my life! I’ve been experimenting with my own square/lorne/slice sausage (lets not go there) recipes with the hope of unleashing them on the London market, but setting up a distillery, that is seriously impressive!

  21. Brogan Rogan

Definitely. We have expanded a wee bit. Anytime after Xmas we could do a wee CQN charity event. Beer, Gin and Whisky and few bits of Celtic History thrown in. Could be fun.

It certainly is a belter. Quality design. Think I will get to the CSA early on Saturday to buy a few for Christmas presents.
