Oscar Knox Paving Stone

1523

Last year at BMCUWP’s hootenanny in McChuills, many CQNers clubbed together and raised funds to buy something appropriate in memory of Wee Oscar. A fantastic amount was raised and we are delighted to announce a paving stone was purchased at very, very, favourable rates from Celtic, and now has its pride and place very close to the statue of Big Jock.

The tribute reads, Wee Oscar Knox, Heart of a lion, Courage of a champion.

Make sure you look out for it next time you are at Celtic Park.

What time are the accused appearing today?

Either 10am or 2pm. They’ll appear in private, though. The press should be given copies of the petition.

  2. Bet these dentists watch us on the cctv and when they think we look ready to bolt, they stop their wee game, call us in and put us out of our misery.

    Sadistic!

Was there ever any substantial rumour of what Sleekit said to Neil Lennon? Has Lenny ever said why he won`t reveal what was said? Also,it was unlike Sleekit not to have implied that whatever he said was only harmless banter. He would have known that the media would have supported him against the ` easily inflamed` Neil Lennon.

Rumour at the time said the hun manager asked Lennon if he could get his bullets back.

Pretty much what I heard too. Though it may have been from the same source!

It certainly looked as though Neil’s retort was ‘That’s my ……. family!’ which supports the idea.

Neilly went off like a firecracker so I wouldn’t be surprised if that is true.

Hope you and yours are well!

I think the lay off with injury slowed Mulgrew ‘ s return to full match fitness. He certainly had not been as effective as last season.

However match fitness requires matches and form can waver, so it is just possible both have returned rather than any notion that he has not been trying hard enough.

The coming games will tell if it was a one off or a sign he is back to his best.

  10. Lol.

    FF ef in geniuses.

The old club could get restored to MOONBEAMS ownership.

    Lol.

At that point does a real administration happen with everything sold for the still owed creditors.

  11. My friends in Celtic,

Charlie Mulgrew puts in a fab performance and some seem critical. Should we not be proud ?

I watch every Celtic player, no matter who he plays for and wish them well. To hear talk that maybe Charlie played well because he disliked the Irish is frankly insulting and plain daft ( no disrespect to the poster who suggested this )

The aim should be for RD and JC to get this type of performance out of Charlie on a regular basis. Maybe his fitness and RD’s regime had something to do with his performance. Its possibly that simple.

    Thanks.

That sounds to me a bit like “humour” ( on the part of those creating the rumour) and I don`t think it suits Sleekit`s cowardly style. It would , though, explain Neil`s reluctance to reveal the comment as to do so could endanger his family even more. Has Neil ever spoken to McCoist since? I would imagine not if the `bullets` rumour was accurate.

Anyway, I don`t want to stay on this matter. It was just a thought that came uninvited into my head this morning.

  14. Charlie Muldini’s best game for us was in the ne’erday game which saved Sammi & Lenny’s Celtic careers from hitting a premature brickwall.

Charlie was also prone to exhibiting the occasional Jekyll and Hyde performances much in-keeping with the management mind-set of the team. Celtic won the ‘shame-game’ then, Muldini blew the league in the very next game up at Motherwell were we lost 0-2.

Muldini was culpable for both goals.

Muldini also set in motion the, sequence of events that led to us, as some claimed ‘blowing’ the league in Inverness when the deflected 1st ICT goal went in-off himand he couldn’t shake the jitters after it but, I’d say that Sammi ‘blew’ the league at ibrox in the game before ICT, with his penalty miss – couldny dae it when the chips were doon.

All of the above is – imho.

But Italy is no stranger to such displays on a regular basis. Nor are they unusual in many countries.

I don’t know how to stamp them out-sorry-but IMO it has long been a problem which needs dealt with.
