Unbeaten, everyone eager to be the SMSM heroes to knock the Fenians off their perch.

Haud on a wee minute there, steady, SA has not shown anything yet to be given that jibber jabber Praise. I never seen that Great but I witnessed the Maestro. I hope he gets close to Pauls level….. fingers rossed.

  2. Someone earlier posted a link to the Paul Byrne goal vs Rangers earlier and it’s got me on YouTube looking at old games vs them.

Check out this one…..Scottish cup Qf @ CP 1997.

Good ghuys win 2-0 – actually remember the game.

    But 2 things……

    – the refereeing. How many reds should there have been and how many penalties should there have been for us?

    – other than Laudrup show me a footballer in their team? Team of wood choppers!

  3. Just in from my daughters 21st birthday nite out, and watched the 4 minutes of highlights on the BBC website. I have say LG’s goal was great…talk about twinkle toes on the turn. Love to see him get a run of starts, it seems MD is just off the boil right now. Under this manager, no one can feel like an automatic pick…and that’s good.

  4. non Celtic comment,

  5. Just a wee suggestion or, throwing a name in from the dark….

Whatever happened to – Stevie May ?

Could Brendan pull him out of a hat and, sprinkle him with the magic-dust that has transformed….

    James Forrest….

    Stuart Armstrong…

Broony….remember…every brill performance is an indictment to his cheating of the previous manager and, all those who are now fawning over him….don’t be sooked in.

    Anyway,…..according to the Jungle Book…..

Moussa has shaded aff since Keiran got injured and, also Sinky….imho.

    But,….Brendan,….Cellic ‘always’ play with 2 strikers…’always’….

Anyway,….Stevie May….?….sprinkle him in the magic-dust…Brendan….nothing tae lose….Stevie May is a mixture of – Joe Craig and Jorge Cadette….imho.

The song book was p#sh last night again….only saying…long-winded-out-pourings-of-tempo-sucking-soul-sucking-p#sh…rebels ma erse!….rebels don’t hand over they’re cash and then get loaked oot….imho.

Guid luck tae the new lassi on the board….please let Jeanette be next….and, 2016/17 could be a year of the type of magic that would make the ghosts of the Jungle do the huddle…imho.

Brendan son,….yer doin grand stuff son, just grand….God Bless ye.

Brendan,…don’t get me wrong,…it’s no your fault that yer magic has let the PLC-soul-sellers aff the hook, it’s just the way that things play oot….but,…as the Wolfetones used tae sing….”Sure as mother nature every doggy has it’s day…tooralooralooralooraloo!”….only, they done it better.

Jimmie fae Lennoxtown SSB Cellic supporter caller – RIP – very sad.

  6. My friends in Celtic,

    The journey continues.

For fans who have to watch the games on telly, December will be a Celtic footie fest.

For the die hards who attend every game, the pockets will be bare and possibly the liver,s will be shot.

    HH.

  7. Just a couple of points,

    1) Thistle player DIVED when he knew he had lost the ball with a poor touch and saw Erik covering to clear !

    2) Scott Brown should have got second yellow, so we got away with that one BUT, soon after a Thistle player committed the exact same foul in their left back position, just outside their box, and the ref have the free kick…..but NO yellow card ?

We were comfortable all-night , and for any Huns watching this was the same Thistle team that the Huns were LUCKY to beat !

Considering that Celtic had so many first choice players injured or on the bench last night, will the smsm acknowledge that Thistle got beat with the Celtic reserve team, just like how they reported that we could only draw with Citeh reserves ?

    I won’t hold my breath.

    HH

And the Celts go marching on.

  8. Good morning CQN from a grey and drizzling East Devon, great result last night, well done the Griffmeister.

  9. imperious = This Celtic team, Great to watch last night when we fancied it. Stuart Armstrong has been a revelation. Brendan must have a magic wand, He has the puzzle solved in midfield.

We are on a special journey at our special club.

Hail Hail and on we go, Brendan has worked wonders.

The site died last night mid way through second half, Good to see it back.

Have a good day Bhoys, off into town with a big smile on my face.

  10. Dull and mild, only half correct in describing myself and fully descriptive of the weather in darkest Lanarkshire this morning.

Will be at gym shortly, then a bit of diy for family members. Rest of day will comprise of watching football, dinner prep , vigil mass and generally behaving myself.

Taking it easy, not unlike our club last night.

  11. Good morning friends from a rather blowy, damp, drizzly but grey East Kilbride. Not ideal running conditions but hey ho, there you go. Feeling champion mind you.

  13. Phil’s latest article about Ibrox contains very specific allegations. The article is much less vague than his usual output.

    Yet reaction is muted.

I do wonder if Phil is being set up for a fall here: being fed duff information so he can be discredited further down the line.

  14. Watched the game on delayed transmission as I was out for my tea last night.

So sat doon at midnight and thoroughly enjoyed watching the buoys do another pro job on the opposition.

There is not a player in the team now not worthy of a jersey when they get one. Some contrast to pretty much the same group of players from last season.

What is the story with Derek Rae and his infatuation with getting Captain Brown sent off! Given some of the challenges Scott takes those he hands out are in the main fair and honest. But that obviously doesn’t sit well in Derek Rae’s Heidi or the heids of those he chats to in other teams who have told him that Broony gets away with red cards too often.

Also thought Sutton was over critical of the bhoys for being disjointed considering at the point he first mentioned it we were 70/30 ahead in possession stats. I get the feeling that Sutty feels he has to occasionally say something negative just for balance.

Armstrong and Broony were both outstanding and the rest were great. Also brilliant to see LG get ful 90 score and create a couple. My first choice striker.

  15. Morning all

Just about to start work . I missed first half hour through an unavoidable prior engagement. I gather I did not miss much but what I saw was mostly fine. Good to see Leigh buzzing again and I thought Izzy looked better than in a few games. His quiet rebirth deserves some applause.

Team switched off in the way we did at McDiarmid Park but Thistle’s goal was offside. As for the dive that was not I thought there was contact though how much of it was because of Craig G’s momentum. No foul but no dive either.

Onward and upwards. In my case to the 4th floor.

  16. Marrakesh Express on

Back to the songbook. I can’t help the niggling worry I have that our godsend of a manager will be wondering why it’s seemingly necessary at away games, and when he experiences Ibrox in full bigot mode, he might decide to shorten his stay in this European backwater.

It’s sad that 200 or so directly under the cameras, can hijack a wonderful club song catalogue and play right into the hands of our club’s many enemies, leaving us with not a leg to stand on.

  17. Celtic to a man where great to watch last night, I thoroughly enjoyed watching it, I don’t get the C S statement “Celtic defence went to sleep there” On the thistle goal? If three thistle players are offside when the ball is kicked then it’s the linesman who fell asleep, you can’t defend an offside goal as that’s the linesmen who do that’s job. Nothing to do with the team defending it.

The penalty claim? The guy dived in my opinion, unlike the boot on the knee Tom Rogic got in the box and nothing was said? And he was taken of because of it, these things even themselves out as they say, MR Thomson had a low profile game last night, he done the basic thing as a referee last night, called it as he saw it, prob. One of the best games he’s ever referred for us, I honestly don’t understand what all the fuss is about from the Turks, strange people those Turks :))

A big Hoopy Birthday mate, have a great day…:)

Your’s is an easy one to remember as our Son Conall celebrates his on the same day. Today is one of Conall’s landmark days…today Mrs. LB and celebrate our Son’s 18th Birthday.

I hope you and Conall have a fantastic day.

    Keep the Faith!

    Hail Hail!

  19. MARAKESH

I couldent agree with you more, we have loads of songs we can sing, to listen to some of the rebel is a little cringeworthy, not that I don’t sing them in the pub among my own, and not that I didn’t sing them back in the day either at the games, but! Times have changed live games every week sometimes three times a week we give them ammunition to take the gloss off of our brilliant performances, but are these songs really needed at Manchester, Motherwell or Firhill? Against the new Huns aye a get that, but I think some are elienating our selfs purposely to suit they’r agenda.

It’s only my opinion, as Iv said I’m guilty of it in the pub and when I was a lot younger, but I do get your point.

  20. MARRAKESH EXPRESS on 10TH DECEMBER 2016 9:10 AM

That’s a very poor effort. Please try harder.

  21. TONYDONNELLY67 on 10TH DECEMBER 2016 9:29 AM

Thomson was on best behaviour last night because he knew Sutton was commentating on the game.

Mind you Sutton did criticise him for not booking Brown and Armstrong and for not sending Gordon off.

    He’s balanced like that.

  22. Good morning from a slightly overcast but pleasant Coundon, Co Durham. Visiting the oldest and the grandweans, off to the Flix tomorrow after the wee man’s game.

I watched the game in the comfort of her spare sitting room on a wonderful 32″ Samsung telly in glorious HD, fantastic picture, and I almost felt I was there.

I thought Thistle’s pitch looked great last night and just like Motherwell’s allowed us to play some really nice football when we woke from our post CL slumber.

I reckon we could go into the winter break at least 20 points ahead of our nearest challengers, who will not be sevco.

I’m not convinced Brendan will be too active during the January window, apart from some pre-contract acquisitions. However, I reckon Brendan definitely knows who will make up his squad now and will release quite a few during this period, fortunately Jozo will not be one of them. I wouldn’t be surprised if Kolo is allowed to go as I am not convinced Brendan does ‘sentiment’

  23. BOBBY MURDOCH’S CURLED-UP WINKLEPICKERS on 10TH DECEMBER 2016 6:01 AM

    ‘JJ not going down quietly…’

    ###

    He sounds slightly deranged.

No explanation of the cease and desist debacle.

  24. Joe Filippis Haircut on

Good Morning Bhoys from a dry bright Central Scotland well the Hero for me last night was Sparky he worked his socks off and got his goal. For me as long as he is fit he would be in the team every game.H.H.

  25. JJ this morning seemed like he was sending out Square Go requests to all and sundry, very strange indeed, he really has went out on a limb, and at this present time it seems that he has no intention of budging or backing down, Iv noticed also Clumps has went quiet too, hmmmmmm?

  26. Lennybhoy

Happy Birthday to your Bhoy I hope you spoil him!

Two birthdays in a week, how old are ye?! :-)

  27. TET @ 10.40 last night,

Sorry I didn’t get back to you before. I couldn’t agree more. That we are allowed a level playing field is all we should be seeking. Imo, our manager should be having a wee word with our captain too. He is in the best form of his career but he is picking up way too many yellow cards cards and he could easily have been red carded last night.

By the way, I was saying to my cousin yesterday that I think Brendan Rodgers is THE best thing that has happened to Celtic since Jock Stein. He seems to have a magic wand. He has transformed what is essentially Ronnie’s team, just as Jock transformed Mr McGrory’s.
