Payback for Turnbull Hutton

735

You all think you’re so smart, smugly laughing at the outcome of a game in a tournament you didn’t even know existed until recently.  Let me tell you, yesterday’s defeat of Newco Rangers was nothing short of calamitous for the road I hoped the club would take.

Ally McCoist is crucial to all the things I hope happens to Newco in the years to come.  He alone can deliver the hilarity waiting for when his team face full time footballers every week.  Who else could spend so much yet produce so little?  Who else would have the sheer brass neck to demand such a salary, even if partially deferred, in order to endorse the spivs as suitable recipients of season ticket money?  This guy is unique and of immeasurable value.

Yesterday’s defeat fundamentally weakens his position.  What now when, in true Rangers tradition, he stands in front of this year’s AGM thanking ‘yous’ for being the cream in his doughnut?  Will they still cheer at being patronised like applauding seals completely lacking in self-awareness?

Mark my words, anything which undermines McCoist is unwelcome.  A Ramsden’s Cup win would allow him to claim as much credit as he could waddle off with and would have upset no one.  They had a party at Ibrox planned, like it was 1975 all over again.  The humiliation must be significant.

The way forward for Newco Rangers is to put pressure on their board to release badly needed funds for the manager to spend in the hope of winning promotion from the Championship next season.

A word for Raith Rovers and their chairman Turnbull Hutton.  It was a Raith Rovers director who sat across the table from one of the Rangers clubs (I’ve lost track) to judge their failure to dispense their tax and other duties during season 2011-12.  McCoist then publicly demanded to know the names of the panel members.

It was Raith’s Starks Park ground which needed 24 hour security after receiving a threat to burn it to the ground following McCoist’s outburst.  Turnbull Hutton stood firm and was one of the voices which ensured the rules were applied as they stood.

Seville – The Celtic Movement

“Going into the second leg, it was all in Liverpool’s favour and on paper it was Celtic’s toughest test. That wasn’t to be the case though as Celtic achieved a very comfortable 2-0 at Anfield. Both goals were superb to top a fantastic victory. A low free kick from Alan Thompson and a wonderful strike from John Hartson were the difference in this game. Celtic went through to the semi-final 3-1 on aggregate.”

Lee Griffiths is not a “daft laddie” or a “silly wee boy” he is a 23 year old racist.

    It’s not banter, it’s racism.

Every single one of the people in that video who were joining in with, dancing to and agreeing with that song are racists.

Anyone on here claiming that it’s just banter are racist but they don’t know it.

I have faced the same racist abuse that was being directed at Rudi Skacel and it is demeaning, sneering and derisive.

Racism can only be eradicated if it is met with zero tolerance.

We should sack Griffiths and move on.

Sorry. I have been out. I don`t know if there is a list of Supporters` busses but I am assuming a fair few on here travel that way. I was thinking those willing ( I am ) could email their addresses to you and you would send out the flyers. As well as my Bus, I could give them to a guy who sits beside me at the games who travels in on another Supporters` Bus and ask him to distribute. I am sure CQNers have access to a great many of these busses.”

If you are in agreement, post your email and I will send you my address. Paul could make the request in an article to inform others.

    Ah the old semantic argument.

The song is xenophobic and bigoted, if he sang it he’s guilty of something that’s the same as racism ie discriminating against somebody because of their nationality or ethnicity.

I’ve very little time for people that discriminate against others.

Junglejim, it has been deemed to be racist in Scots law. A Hibs supporter was fined £200 for singing it. I think it’s racist because it is ignorant and makes a severe generalisation. I.e. Skacel s from Eastern Europe and they are all refugees… That the folk singing it think they are better than said refugees because of the use of the word f@cking.

Leigh Griffiths earns more in a month than most folk make a year. He “works” part time hours. Appeals for clemency from folk that are rightly appalled by the famine song and enjoyed the sacking of Dallas. If Jack the Ripper said so and so was guilty of murder it wouldn’t make them innocent.

If Neil Lennon plans to take the Norwich job, if offered, then I hope he removes himself completely from the decision making process re. Leigh Griffiths.

DENNY Johnstone’s hat-trick saw Celtic Under-20s overcome their Motherwell counterparts 3-0 at Lennoxtown and return to the league summit.

The young striker fired home at the second attempt inside the opening 10 minutes and headed in number just beyond the half-hour mark as the young Hoops stamped their authority on proceedings.

He completed his treble when sliding nine minutes after the interval, slotting into the net from Patrik Twardzik’s accurate low cross.

Stevie Frail and John Kennedy’s side now lead Hibernian at the top of the table by one point, having played one game fewer than the Edinburgh side. Both teams will go head-to-head this Thursday at Cappielow.

If that’s aimed at me, then no, not really. I think any broad brush opinion of a group of people is problematic.

  22. Oh Lord all the Holier than thous on here are making me unwell. If what Leigh Griffiths sang is racist, is there not a bunch of fine men operating under the umbrella of FOCUS. Why don’t they arrest and charge him and allow a Judge who has some training in legal matters make a decision as to whether or not he indulged in racist behaviour. I believe Griffiths was bang out of order, and should be disciplined, if the Club opts to fine him, suspend him, sack him or sell him then whatever they decide is fine by me. I have often sung stuff I shouldn’t have with a few pints in me, does that make me sectarian, maybe. I just wonder whether all those calling Griffiths a racist ever sang anything that others might question. No OOh Ahhhs lads, No Eff the Queen & the UDA, No Dirty Orange Barstewards, fine if ye are all as clean as the driven snow, then up on your pulpits and condemn away to your hearts content, I am not so perfect so I will not set myself up as judge & jury.

    ……………………………………..

If the 6 year old asks you, you explain that Leigh Griffiths did wrong and you explain why in terms that a 6 year old will understand and that LG should be punished. You don’t need to discuss a range of punishments. I had the discussion with my 9 year old grandson yesterday.

  24. Tiny Tim if Leigh Griffiths was a Rangers player, you would want him sacked.and that’s the bottom line. as for that lousy paper The Daily Record, and The Sun pure anti Celtic.. but they get a free ride with the Celtic Board,as for them at Sky Sports im thinking of giving them the heave, another anti celtic mob.

  25. Why does anyone seriously thing Neil would want to go to Norwich?

How many CL clashes can Norwich realistically hope for?

Relegation fights are a more likely scenario.
