Payback for Turnbull Hutton

735

You all think you’re so smart, smugly laughing at the outcome of a game in a tournament you didn’t even know existed until recently.  Let me tell you, yesterday’s defeat of Newco Rangers was nothing short of calamitous for the road I hoped the club would take.

Ally McCoist is crucial to all the things I hope happens to Newco in the years to come.  He alone can deliver the hilarity waiting for when his team face full time footballers every week.  Who else could spend so much yet produce so little?  Who else would have the sheer brass neck to demand such a salary, even if partially deferred, in order to endorse the spivs as suitable recipients of season ticket money?  This guy is unique and of immeasurable value.

Yesterday’s defeat fundamentally weakens his position.  What now when, in true Rangers tradition, he stands in front of this year’s AGM thanking ‘yous’ for being the cream in his doughnut?  Will they still cheer at being patronised like applauding seals completely lacking in self-awareness?

Mark my words, anything which undermines McCoist is unwelcome.  A Ramsden’s Cup win would allow him to claim as much credit as he could waddle off with and would have upset no one.  They had a party at Ibrox planned, like it was 1975 all over again.  The humiliation must be significant.

The way forward for Newco Rangers is to put pressure on their board to release badly needed funds for the manager to spend in the hope of winning promotion from the Championship next season.

A word for Raith Rovers and their chairman Turnbull Hutton.  It was a Raith Rovers director who sat across the table from one of the Rangers clubs (I’ve lost track) to judge their failure to dispense their tax and other duties during season 2011-12.  McCoist then publicly demanded to know the names of the panel members.

It was Raith’s Starks Park ground which needed 24 hour security after receiving a threat to burn it to the ground following McCoist’s outburst.  Turnbull Hutton stood firm and was one of the voices which ensured the rules were applied as they stood.

Seville – The Celtic Movement

“Going into the second leg, it was all in Liverpool’s favour and on paper it was Celtic’s toughest test. That wasn’t to be the case though as Celtic achieved a very comfortable 2-0 at Anfield. Both goals were superb to top a fantastic victory. A low free kick from Alan Thompson and a wonderful strike from John Hartson were the difference in this game. Celtic went through to the semi-final 3-1 on aggregate.”

  1. Over here we have to deal with bigoted MP’s walking out of City Hall in protest at extra Government funding for Irish languages, claiming that they’re having it (Gaelic) shoved down their throats.

Or the top dog of the East Belfast UVF sitting on the Policing Board of Northern Ireland. Not to mention this same UVF Brigidier ordering the shooting of a young woman.

Or Peter Robinson having meetings with UVF/UDA (not sure which organization) drug dealer in Stormount.

Housing Executive contracts being given to a Loyalist Construction firm (RedSky) unchallenged, who then go on to double charge & sometimes triple charge for work done. Sometimes even charging for work carried out on buildings that were reduced to rubble 5 years earlier. Not to mention the shoddy work they done in Nationalist area’s

Then when they get caught stealing they put all the blame on the Housing Executive. Afterwards when the contracts are being redistributed You get Peter Robinson & Nelson McCausland bringing the owner of RedSky in Stormount where he receives the contracts under a new guise.

    Did I mention Flag Protests?!

That’s the price we pay for British Unionism. Aslong as this is acceptable, the singing of “Rudi Skacel is a Refugee” is water off a ducks back to me.

LG is guilty no arguments on that . However guilty of being an idiot more than anything. I think he is just a daft laddie carried away with it all lathing it up with his pals.

He is being depicted as an ideological racist who has committed a politically conscious act of subverting society’s laws and moral codes.

He needs educated more than he needs punished. He ‘s a daftie. A likeable daftie it strikes me.

Even if he is not a likeable daftie he is a good player and that’s why we employed him. We

did not expect him to be a moral crusader.

The only way they can hurdle Dundee Utd is if they are given assistance and we all know that’s not beyond the realms of possibility. We’ll have a week of propaganda and hype, on how poor Sevco can’t fail, and will bounce back for the big cup.

With an ex season ticket holder as the referee, and previous demonstrations of his allegiance in spade loads, it’s a pretty decent trump card to have, in your home stadium.

All it takes is a dodgy penalty, but seeing the level to which their playing staff has fallen, will keep me sane, and that they won’t get to trash Celtic Park with their presence, let alone their vandals.

You told me earlier to away an gies peace and buy my Daily Record, for the simple act of believing that LG’s behaviour and mindset are in direct opposition to those I and many others believe is incompatible with the Celtic ethos.

I have never ever bought a DR. Used to glance at it in the works canteen, but thanks to my own sensory faculties and discovery many years ago of CQN, never even give it a moments consideration.

If I were to make lazy assumptions about people, I would contest that you are far more influenced by what is in the DR than I am, but I try not to make assumptions about people I don’t know anything about.

To be fair, I would be prepared to give LG a chance to atone to the club, Neil Lennon and decent human beings everywhere.

However, I’m not quite sure what he could do that would demonstrate that he was truly sorry and not just trying to keep his job.

Neil Lennon in his interview there said it’s flattering to be linked to a job in the EPL. Last week he when asked something similar he answered similarly to today with the added comment, he didn’t have a crystal ball

    to foretell the future.

I think, but I could be wrong, that this so called link has been generated up

here in Scotland. Imho he wouldn’t have a chance of getting a decent EPL club as there are quite a few better candidates available, De Matteo and Malky McKay to name two.

How refreshing it would be to hear, ‘I’m not interested in any other job as I have a brilliant job here, I ‘m a multi millionaire with a fabulous salary

and I would love to once again qualify for the final stages of Euro League.’

Do those calling for LG’s head feel that their employers should dismiss them?

    Would they be able to?

It is only my opinion, but I imagine that the employers, if they wished to could probably use Industrial Misconduct by bringing company into public disrepute as a reason for sacking.

I imagine that Celtic’s lawyers are already looking at this.

That’s why they are still in the competition Beaton saw them safely through, and had he not, they would be heading straight or their inaugural administration.

You could also argue it’s worse post Dallas, it’s just that we’re not affected so directly.

Someone posted succinctly today, that had McCulloch managed another yard further up the park, he’d have gotten a penalty instead of a free kick in the dying minutes.

If it’s left to football DU will prevail and they have a manager that knows the score, on the cheating front as he played against the old club and experienced it, first hand.

    Fingers crossed CSC
