Prevailing attitude of hunger

1428

Judging by these quotes, John Guidetti may just be the most excited footballer on the planet right now:

“I’m just going to work my socks off…. do my absolute very best…. give 100%.

“The one thing I hate more than anything is losing. I can’t stand it.

“For 90 minutes I am always giving everything.

“You can always expect 100% from your players and I’m going to give that [note the repetition of this assertion].

“I promise I’ll do my very best to do even a little bit of what [Henrik] did.

“Football without fans is nothing, it’s not worth it for me.”

There is a common theme across a few players who joined this summer, they have something to prove.  Guidetti, Mubarak and Tonev each had a difficult time last season, for varying reasons.  They need to hit the mark, whether it’s through form (Tonev), fitness (Guidetti) or simply being able to play in an environment which is remotely normal (Mubarak).

Scepovic is different.  He arrives with the wind at his back, but the prevailing attitude at Lennoxtown should be one of hunger. I suspect this contrasts starkly with last year’s arrivals.

Surely the moot point is just how long will we have that publicly owned NHS for?

I know what you were talking about, discrimination and it’s been happening in England for as long as it has been up here only they change who they tend to discriminate against, at the moment it’s the muslims.

While in Scotland we have only though, without concrete proof, that our institutions have been institutionally sectarian in England it has been proven that some organisations were/are institutionally racist. Met Police anyone?

Rather than supporter lack on interest in the EL I think it’s solely down to cost. £450 for a day trip that doesn’t even include a ticket is robbery.

    Aye ….

I’d be surprised if he knew where Ibrox was never mind Ibrox Park

In the few dealings I’ve had with him he has been fair and reasonable

To be fair to Ernie, I discussed this with him the other and there is a semantic argument at play about whether a public funded but privately run NHS is really privatised. And his view isn’t totally unreasonable or without merit.

My view is that involving corporations motivated by profit in providing healthcare services is a bad idea.

I don’t think it would have been necessary to close the upper tier if we had qualified for the Champions League HT

What are they doing to the NHS?

Or are you actually so list you’re going to defend them ?

Mike Ashley is not the right man for the club. He doesn’t give a f*** about football never mind Rangers Football Club. He’s only after £.

Maybe the very same one he handed over for the naming rights?

For most people, for most of their lives, their only contact with the NHS is with the parts where the service is provided by private contractors. GP’s, dentists and opticians.

    People seem happy enough.

It’s not how I’d do it, but it’s how it is.

Why would Sports Direct TUPE over employees from Sevco shops …what’s in it for them to do that ?

Imran case. Can the tax dodgers appeal it?

    ____________

    The appeal is on Tuesday.

  15. Visually I think it would be much better, if today, Sevco Lawyer had to take money in cash with him to court. It would have sat in the middle. With two dolly birds pointing to it like a gameshow from the 70s/80s

Then every time each of the lawyers spoke there was a dramatic drum role. Then each time the Sevco lawyer made up something about the champions league, the court clerk stood up and blew a raspberry and made a thumbs down gesture.

The judge adjourning to phone Wallace could have had the Sash playing whilst he retired to his quarters.

Then at the very end when he made his announcement , 8 little leprechauns with Celtic Tops on skipped and sang as they whirled round and round with rope the pile of cash shouting “ringfenced” and “Jelly and Ice-cream”. Before the money physically moves (by itself almost) into the dark shadows of the court backrooms and the judge suddenly turns into Jim Bowen saying “look what you could of won”

This is sort of how I like to think it happened.

The decision on whether leave to appeal will be granted will be given on Tuesday

If leave is given , the appeal will be some time thereafter

  18. TUPEing the staff – I wonder if it was Ashley’s way to guarantee that he still has sales staff when the impending Insolvency Event arrives. This way he has Sports Direct staff; the other way, he’d have had shops staffed by Rangers creditors and it’s very unlikely they’d have been predisposed to sell Rangers taps at that stage!

Agreed but I think away trips in Europe are different. As you we’ll know you often get a mush mash of the faithful through and through mob, those who fancy the odd European adventure and a lot of day trippers. Normally I’d expect them to sell out but the cost will result in many seeking different means of transport.
