Celtic released their financial results for the year to 30 June 2014 this afternoon. The club remained profitable to the tune of £11.17m (2013: £9.74m) despite a 14$ drop in revenue to £64.74m. The net cash position at the end of the year was hardly changed from the previous year at £3.83m.
Football and stadium revenue was down £4.4m, which correlates almost exactly to the £100 reduction in season ticket process for around 40,000 seats, but the biggest hit was to Multimedia and Commercial Activities, which were down £5.21m. The bulk of this fall will be explained by finishing fourth in the Champions League group stage, instead of processing to the knock out stage, as we did in season 2012-13.
Celtic opened a new borrowing facility with the Co-op Bank two weeks ago to replace their existing facilities. The club have a £6m overdraft (at base plus 1%) and £14.4m of long-term loans.
This high watermark will not be reached this season as revenue will struggle to reach £55m but it’s clear the club can support the current cost structure without needing to pair back. The project for now is to get revenue back over £70 next season, and for that we’ll need to be better prepared come Champions League qualification time.

Are there any English members?
Are there any Welsh Members?
Or are the members all Ulster Scots and Scots?

Well said. My mother had a very dear friend Peter Ward murdered by Gusty spence who attributed Paisley and his speeches as a reason for his killing. That was 1966.
Many families grieve in ireland as a result of Paisley. For some people sitting in the comfort of Scotland away from this it’s very easy to judge.
I appreciate his work in later years but he was a pragmatic politician who seen the writing on the loyalist wall.
Tonight I feel nothing for Paisley but will remember the countless Catholics killed as a result of his views and speeches.
I hope his death signals a further move away from the fundamentalists who are truly bigots.
Raith Rovers are no match for the Rangers half-time 0-3 sorry to say all the football is coming from the huns.Rovers have had on shot on goal in the first half and if they dont improve in the second half they will lose more goals. H.H.

An important message to the voters of Scotland…
The good news..
1. You will not be shot.
2. You will not be interned.
3. You will not be sold into slavery.
The bad news..
1. The price of a tin of beans from Tesco may increase.
2. The price of a 60 inch TV from John Lewis may increase.
3. The bankers will be collecting their bonuses from darn saff.

He reminds me of the boy Petrovic who played at Basel and then went on to play in Germany, strong with an eye for goal.

To be fair to KK I think the point he made did acknowledge the deceased was nothing but a contemptible and rabblerousing bigot. I think KK believes that our standards should be above expressing comment to the effect the deceased rots in hell etc
I for one do not deny you the right to your comments but can see where KK is coming from.
This actually sisynctly sums up the choice voters are faced with

Assuming you were both opposed to the Iraq invasion, did you alter your opinion on that when you heard the BNP were on your side too?
If not, why are you both pursuing this infantile and insulting line of reasoning?

Wow! That has taken me a full 360 degrees back to YES. You see UK govt support Obama or any other US president as UK in US back pocket.
Was humourous though.

Setting Free the Bears 2044:-
I think both of those posters have quite valid concerns when you take into account the fact that the Orange Order are allowed to organise and practice within the UK Houses of Parliament with members drawn from both the House of Commons and House of Lords.
That gives the firm impression that anti-Catholicism is tolerated and facilitated by Westminster.
Just to lighten the mood somewhat.
What is the strangest, craziest, funniest shout you have heard from individual supporters at a football match, at any level?
Back in the late 60s my brother and I went to a Celtic v Rangers reserve match at Celtic Park. We were down the front of the old enclosure under the stand. There were only a few thousand at the game. John Greig was playing for Rangers as he was returning from a spell out through injury.
The ball rolled towards the wall were we stood and Greig came right up to retrieve the ball for a throw in. A man behind us, who was about 6 feet from Greig shouted, “Haw Greig!”
As he stooped to pick up the ball, Greig looked up at the man, who delivered his message.
“How’s your wife n ma kid?”
Everyone laughed, including big Greig.
No room for ambiguity over who the hordes of William are backing in the referendum.
I suppose they have always had a more rule Britannia perspective.
Also see themselves on a higher social plane. 3 bedroom semi, pension and all that to fear about.
Glad more celtic supporters have a broader outlook and perspective than self interest.
Bigger picture and broader vision.
