    Morelos barged into Ajer twice think he had 9 fouls in the game,and the rat Collum, “Alfredo” had a word, sends a kid off for being wrong side and tugged him back, how many pull backs on Celtic players today, how many got booked, Goldson should have been sent off for the kick on Eduard, he made no attempt to play the ball, he wasnt even booked, feel absolutely brilliant after the 80s and 90s outplaying the dead club despite their dual contracts and destroying the spirit of Sevco today.

    I did not see Calmac play well until we went down to 10. Only Fraser and the 2 full backs got pass marks from me in the first 60 minutes.

     

     

    Edouard’s presence helped drag Christie, Broony and Calmac into a decent final 20 minutes.

     

     

    If you cannot see a player’s good points, average points and weak points, there is a blind spot at play.

     

     

    I don’t know what ails you, but, on the day, when we have a momentous victory, I cannot get dragged down into concentrating on the scapegoating. I rejoice that enough of ours showed enough to resist in a game we should, in truth, have lost.

    They had a right to feel bad at the end of this game but the churlishness displayed as they accepted their medals from whoever was dispensing them was appalling; a distinct absence of DIGNITY and character and distinct presence of childishness.

    Why are people having a go at JF? Other than FF and maybe CJ, I don’t think anybody really covered themselves in glory. It was a back to the wall win but a win nonetheless. We have played better, we will play better and JF has plenty of credit in the bank to be afforded off-days.

    What a difference once Eddy came on, clearly not a 100% but all of a sudden we looked like a team. Had it stayed 11 v 11 who knows but I think we would have scored again, but ultimately who cares.

     

     

    Let’s not over think this performance and just revel in the victory !

    Delighted to win. Like a few finals in recent years we did what we had to and not necessarily what we can do.

     

     

    That could very well break the orcs. Equally it could fill their deluded minds with ideas of superiority.

     

     

    I’m not as overjoyed as I usually would be with a cup win. I think Lenny has to look at his tactics and team selection. Morgan is no centre forward. If griff was even half fit I’d have given him the nod. Maybe he wasn’t?

     

     

    Of course, on reflection we won that without a first or second choice left back, two players returning from injury and no recognised centre forward in the first 11. They peaked. They blew it. We are a much more resilient team.

     

     

    I’m still disappointed that we didn’t get our front men running often enough at their back line. The couple of occasions we did they couldn’t handle it. Odsonne took their entire defence out before releasing Johnstone for a one on one chance. Frimpong has Kamara turned inside out on a number of occasions. But we didn’t get hold of the midfield until we went to ten men. That needs looked at on the 29th. If we can get JF, RC and MJ or ME the ball often enough then a fit Edouard will destroy them.

     

     

    Must be getting grumpy in my old age but we need to learn from this victory.

     

     

    Oh, and Ryan Kent for £7 million is the absolute steal of the century……. for Liverpool. They should be done for fraud!

    Quite concerned about that performance, but the post-mortem can wait.

     

     

    The major positive is: if they can’t win when we are that bad, get their penalty and go down to 10 men, when will they?

    One of the key differences between James Forrest and those who couldn’t lace his boots is that in days like today he’s working incredibly hard to make sure his full back is protected. His contribution in that sense was still immense. Same with Christie. They weren’t hitting the heights but they were making sure we didn’t hit the depths. That side of JFs game is under appreciated by a lot of folk.
