Maeda ‘s effort reminds me of a bald Frank McAvennie in the centenary season …. never stops harrying defenders, doesn’t give defenders a minute ..

Although look wise Maeda is a bit like Derek Ferguson these days :-)

This hours man of the match … Maeda

  5. Old firm plastered all over the sh%t tip today,

Was under the impression that to use this, both parties had to be in agreement.

  6. GFTB. – Hope you saw the whole of the moon…. waterboys style…

ha ha … apart from a few Celtic tunes … “whole of the moon” was one of the tunes played when going home and away back in the day … along with Yazz “the only way is up” … if going to pittodrie we obviously had to have a bit of “Grace” and the “Broad Black Brimmer” but the Waterboys was on from ML5 to Celtic park

Off to bed with a big smile after watching the highlights.

    Tom’s finish.

    Cool, calm, composed.

His goal at Hamden for the undefeated treble.

    A Celtic great.

  12. If I had any hope of it working…I’d ask Moderator1888 to intercede on Big Jimmy’s behalf. There are those on here who’ve tried with P67 but have not even recieved the courtesy of an acknowledgement. Nothing Big Jimmy inferred about other posters was wrong, and as an old-school guy his language was blunt. I’ve seen plenty of offensive posts from other posters since he was banned, but they continue to post.

  13. 2 years ago a terrible injustice occurred. We were motoring towards 9 in a row. It was a formality. However, as the season was halted due to the pandemic the impending celebrations were snatched away from us. This was potentially a once a lifetime occurrence. We had to fight to secure the title as others fought to null and void. It was however a great injustice for Celtic supporters.

The season that followed should be seen as the biggest footballing irrelevance in history. No fans = nothing. An irrelevance.

This season the fans are back and not surprisingly Celtic have found their groove again. Ange has worked miracles and we stand on the verge of more success. This time the fans will enjoy it and each and every one deservedly so. What last season proved once and for all is that the fans are everything to Celtic. And Ange gets that big time.

On the pitch, each and every player is willing to leave it all out there. Calum and Ange have every player willing to run through brick walls for the cause. The memory of every parasite that has ever walked through the door is erased by the efforts of Daizen Maeda. I am astonished at his efforts. Astonished. He is the embodiment of everything Ange has installed.

All we need to do is hold our nerve and the rewards are going to be so great for everyone connected with our club.

  14. Weebobbycollins on

I was up the park earlier with my dog. I threw a ball for her to fetch when suddenly Daizen Maeda ran out from behind a tree and closed her down :-)

  15. WBC…lol…he is the embodiment of perpetual motion ;-)) Though I’ll admit I was worried when he was limping early in the game

  16. David17 10.10pm

    Spot on

Players like Robert Lewandiwski (sic) have stated no fans in the stadium effect the players …

The Huns … Tav & co enjoy no fans hence no pressure

You are 100% correct …. Celtic players respond to the fans willing them on … March 2020 Gerrard was one game away from the sack and Neil had us flying from the break in Dubai …..

But … we all know life moves on

Ange is everything that Celtic is about

Hope you are enjoying this journey :-)

  17. In Ange we trust….

We are on the cusp of something special bhoys…

    Ange is a Diamond….

    D :)

  18. Oops … David17 … I think Neil got us the 9

It was that pesky 10 with no fans in the stadia that got Stevie Gee his move to Villa :-)

  19. Hatate flew in from Japan midweek so was expectedly tired. He looked goosed second half, at one point toiling to track a Ramsey run all while Ramsey was towing a caravan. For their goal you could point the finger although i would say it was just good play from Ramsey although i would like Reo to get closer and show better instincts in regards to tracking the run. Time will tell if Hatate is the man to partner Cal long term. I think Turnbull will come in next week in his place.

Hope you are enjoying this journey :-)

    ——-

Very much so! Hope you are well.

  21. D66 sorry mate…you’ve just started an arguement. Diamonds are worthless pieces of clear rock that companies like De Beers have inflated the prices by keeping them from market and hence keeping them relatively rare.

Ange is better than that, meteoric might be a better description ;-))

Great day,Celtic beat the sevco with ease. It’s going to be a massacre when we get them back at Celtic Park with a free flowing rested Kyoto .

Looking back at today with the incident with cryan Jack and G Mack. Once the players stood up G Mack was pointing to up the tunnel to the odd boy . Looks like he was saying he would straighten his teeth after the game. Bye Bye Ryan !

Don’t want to be premature but “if” we win the league it Will be ok for the Celtic support to march down the Gallowgate to George Square to celebrate ?

Maybe best to bring the statues inside that day!

  23. Evening all.

I’ll confess, I didn’t / couldn’t watch the game earlier, ‘cos I’m an old ‘fearty’.

I have now watched the whole game back. defensively we were outstanding, back to front.

It shows that we are not just a one dimensional team, we now can defend like fook.

Mr Postecoglou, is a special manager and man.

Just crossed my mind, I’m in ML5 never heard a firework tonight, similar elsewhere ??

    Brian

  24. The Huns opener … Josip’s fault 100%, watch it again he follows the ball and not his man … the tv pictures catch him being raging, not at anyone else, I think he was raging at himself, although I think Jota could have helped him a little bit but it was the first 2mins of the game … so in my opinion no blame whatsoever to any player in a hooped (of goalkeepers) jersey …

  25. Loved it today. At no time did I feel they were going to score on the second half.

Weird though because Re watching it on TV when I got home I saw a different game. It seemed they had a bit more of the ball then it felt at the game itself.

Plenty of bottles thrown by them into the Celtic fans btw. And plenty of coins also ( mostly 2p coins ).

So good to add another win, my 21st at Ibrox, to my list of great memories there.

  26. If we beat St. Johnstone, we need 3 wins after the split to clinch the league, and only 1 if we beat the Huns at Home, assuming they win all their other games.

  27. Our entire team worked their collective socks off.

All 15 of them who were on the park.

Alps the police organisation was a disgrace today. Causing chaos pre game with unnecessary pre entry controls in a very tight space. Then after with delaying our fans by over 35 mins after full time. To be fair none of us really cared. 10-15 minutes non stop singing of Top of the league looking down on the rangers ….. kept everyone amused

  28. David17 10.17pm

All good cheers, hope the same with you…

Like some I wasn’t too sure about Ange, was the “board” pulling another cheap option, funnily enough I was right up for Ronny … and I still like Ronny, love Neil and don’t tell anybody but I sort of still love Brendan… time is a great healer :-) … BUT and it’s a big but watching some of the Ange interviews present and past … he has won me over … and if there was a brick wall and Ange asked me to try and run through it .. I think I’d give it a go …. I think he is the type of manager Celtic fans love …. One of the first interviews I saw he said , and I paraphrase “ nobody knew me but the more people dismissed me the more our support stood up for me, they don’t like people slagging one of their own so it’s worked in my favour” … he gets us

We are lucky to have loads of very good people/managers in charge of our team 🍀

  29. Comment on FF ref Old Firm branding

    It’s pathetic

We are like a spurned ex trying to hang on to the relationship.

Even worse looking after the game. So embarrassing.

You are correct but only if they beat St Mirren next Sunday.

No guarantees after their trip to Portugal.
