  1. None of this man of the match stuff … I think from a Celtic point of view if you had to pick your top 3 performers on the park (Ange & the 700 weren’t on the park) my top 3 performers …

    Rogic

    Callum

    Taylor/Maeda

    CCV

    Starfelt

    Joe Hart …

Am no good at this I have picked 7 when trying to pick 3, also thought Gia put in a shift … in fact Juranovic, Hatate & Jota were our 3 worst ….. 3 players who have been totally terrific all season didn’t turn up today

Just think how good we would have been if they all turned up :-) …. Happy Days

    Beautiful Sunday

    Greetings, Hoops Fans:

Due to circumstances beyond my control, I missed my first game in decades today, and had the strange experience of looking up a Celtic result post game. As background, I am one of those who do not really enjoy Hun games, as I am in the nervous, anxious, stomach churning fraternity.

I switched off my phone and did not look at it until an hour after the game. My heart sank when I read the first text message, “Take Hatate off NOW!” I turned it off, opened my Ipad at LiveSoccer.com and immediately yelled out “YESSSSSSSSS!”, nearly giving the wife and my wee rescue budgies heart attacks! My day was made.

Since then, I have read back on the blog, opened the various links ( thanks to those who provided them ), watched the game highlights, and dipped into the Hun sites ( Unclean!! Unclean! ) to enjoy their despair.

One thing I learned today ( as I had never done it before ) is that any game time comment on CQN that is remotely negative in tone, comes across as markedly so if you read it post game after a great result, something I will keep in mind in future.

Regarding the bottle throwing, I would publicize photos of our backroom assistant stitched and bandaged up. You can bet your boots that the Hun would do that in a heartbeat, if the situation were reversed.

I am sure Ange is on top of this, but we must not rest on our laurels now, or get remotely complacent. I was also impressed about Ange’s “Kyogo is fit and raring to go” blarney, throwing the Hun for a loop in a Jock Stein type manner.

Off now to enjoy the rest of the day in a warm glow of contentment. Aaaaaaaaaah.😊

  3. What a win !! What a battle !

Our Bhoys stood tall when needed.

Maeda was immense, as was Gio. A thankless job closing down the opposition, constant running.

Taylor, excellent as was McGregor and Rogic. Central defence were immense.

Game ran past Hatate and to a lesser extent, Jota. Not to worry, the team were so close as a unit today, they covered for each others mistakes.

6 points clear, waiting for the fat lady to take centre stage.

    What a turnaround.

    “Couple if idiots”.

Disappointed with that one. I’ll be generous and go with the 80/20 rule – 80% in that stadium today would happily smash a bottle over his head.

  5. IniquitousIV on

Two goals for Moussa for Lyon today.

Watching Spurs just now. Kane would make a world class midfield player. He creates a lot of goals from that position with pinpoint accuracy passing.

  6. Yaaaas easy the Celtic.

    ANY LURKIN HUNS GIRFUY

    🤣🤣🤣

  7. Due largely to newco’s excellent Europa League performances these past 3 years, I think I read SPFL winners can also go straight into CL next season too.

They may just have gifted us the best part of 70 odd million.

“The rangers are up a greasy pole, parlez vous, cannae get down to win a point, inky pinky parlez vous”. My wee Mum when I told her the score. Oh my aching sides. 🤣🤣

(copy n pasted your moniker as it was annoying me when I misspelt it)

Canny believe you missed our victory today, you’ve been watching more games in the last 10 days than I have in months

Hope all ok and nothing too serious you missing Ange’s 55th victory at Ibrox …, one man’s 55 is another man’s 1

  10. Cmon….there is nothing to touch that mob in terms of violence and bigotry …its all they have…in Scotland ok but the big picture escapes them, always…Arrogance with a Capitall A.

We are night and day ahead. They know it….

    Today was excellent.

In the last 95, Celtic v Any version of Rangers, games, only 5 times has the team who conceded first, won.

That tells you how good today was.

What a brilliant day. Celtic pap Sevco to all but win the League and my first wee grandson arrived in the world less than an hour ago. One happy Auld Tim hereabouts. COYBIG

Jota put in a great cross for the winner. That will do for me. ;)

  14. DeniaBhoy , Yes 4 of our remaining 6 games will be at Celtic Park, we need to win 4 to clinch Title, 3 if we beat the Huns at Celtic Park,

Thanks mate. My brother in law is terminally ill and he and his wife needed some help. Contrary to Bill Shankly, there ARE some things more important than fiba!

I’ve seen the highlights, but will watch the whole game tonight.

About other fitba, I had Hesgoal on looking for Bodo/Glimt ( their game starts in 45 minutes) and had a brief look at a team called Sandefjord. A lad called Tveter scored 3 goals in 30 minutes. I know nothing about him but I would check him out. You heard it here first.😂

And we did it with only 700 of our fans in there – do you know how many wins were at the away ground?

Congratulations to all involved and welcome to the Celtic family to the wee man.HH

My daughter said the very same when I mentioned Jota hasn’t been that good … he then crossed and big Gia put his header wide …

Am just saying Jota was our 8th best performer :-)

Hope you enjoyed that today mate … CCV & Starfelt are grieving as a partnership … 22 domestic games without defeat just makes our defence grow in confidence …. considering they get very little protection from a lot of the players in front of them … apart from Maeda who runs, runs and keeps running

  19. RAY SINGH-CARR on 3RD APRIL 2022 6:13 PM

Congratulations to you and your family.

The hoops did you proud also.

Forget Tveter. I just looked him up. He’s 31 years old. Pity, as he looked good.

    Ray Singh Carr.

    If carlsberg did Sundays …

    Congratulations.

Sorry to read that …. I can assure you I am in that camp that there are far more important things than football …

Celtic whether they win, lose or draw is our wee escapism from the real world

By the way Bodo Glimt at Celtic Park impressed me as much as PSG circa mid 90s maybe 1995 ? Paul Le Guen in their midfield, think we got a decent result in Paris and big Pierre might have even got us a winner if it wasn’t for the floodlights

All kidding aside you and the family take care

  23. TheLurkinTim on

Congratulations to the Ray Singh Carr family on their new addition ;-))

Just popping in to say a word for Nir Bitton, ok he got a yellow but he had to make that challenge, in fact I thought we sold our yellows intelligently today. But Nir was terrific for his 20 minutes or so.
