VG Saint Stivs lol…sorry I just missed you on Friday…I’ll not let you know what D66’s initial response was when you said you wer MM ;-))

    H.H.

i heard sure, he is very funny, what a bunch of likeable rogues.

10 minute cameo was the most i have laughed in ages.

  2. The BBC are a disgrace …

The Huns are breaching (another) contract, the BBC pay the SPL for tv and radio commentary… and the Huns are in breach by not fulfilling their part of the agreement … BT now make a wee joke about Chris Sutton & Neil Lennon not being “safe” while doing their day to day work … we all know the Huns are treated differently but the Bully Boys / Billy Boys will keep doing it until they stop getting away with it

Horrible club, horrible fans, horrible attitude

I now think Starfelt was man of the match, I will probably change my mind another few times later

  3. It’s a health and safety thing, on and off the park now………….

Open Season on Tims without any comment from Scotland.

    Scotland’s Shame.

Due largely to newco’s excellent Europa League performances these past 3 years, I think I read SPFL winners can also go straight into CL next season too.

    ‐——–‐————‐————————–‐—

Please don’t take this as a personal criticism Deniabhoy, but you and many others have been taken in by the bottle throwers and their fans in the media on this one.

Scotland’s current position in the coefficient table is predominantly due to Celtic’s efforts over the 5 seasons from 16-17 until 20-21. In this period, we generated 59 points to their 49.5 out of the total of 133.5 points.

It’s only in the 22-23 qualification that their 65 points (to our 58) exceeds our own.

Apologies for such a tedious post amid the general* exuberance from our terrific win today, but once these myths take hold they become accepted truth…

    *MM excepted, obviously 🙄

  5. the long wait is over on

Commentator on sportscene was literally ecstatic at the rangers goal.

His commentary at the Celtic goals couldn’t have been more downbeat had he been commentating on his own fathers funeral.

    Impartial my arse.

Taking an interest in how Bodo/Glimt do this season. Playing Rosenbirg at home today, go down

0-1 after 16 minutes. The broadcaster had some technical difficulties after an hour, switched to studio guests ( 1 woman host and 3 men ), then to an alternative long range camera, before the problem was rectified. Bodo were then awarded a ridiculously soft penalty, from which Pellegrino scored. 25 minutes to go.

It will be interesting to see how differently Mourinho and Roma approach them when they meet again in the Euro Conference next week.

I used to enjoy the contributions of James Forrest on this blog but he was absolutely fuming with the appointment of Ange (can’t be any good – he’s never managed in Europe etc).

Will he now come on and share a bit of humble pie that I’m currently wolfing down regarding Starfelt?

    ———-

I really don’t have a lot of time for JF because of some of the stuff he posts on here & I’ve never read his blog. However when someone comments on something, or, someone, and has evidence on which those comments are based, then why castigate them when they give an opinion. Ange WAS untried in Europe. It all just goes to show what an inspired appointment PL, MN & the board made. Dom was dumped for dithering over Howe, and then dumped himself.

Things change, evidence changes and therefore so do opinions. It would be some world if no one gave an opinion until things had finished – no point in blogs like this. Many who speak with hindsight, do so from their hin’ end.

I’m sure JF’s opinion, and that of many others among us, will have changed – he/they should now be complimentary of Ange – I’m sure all will be…..just like you and Starfelt!

    18 YARD MAN

I’ll accept your statistics as correct, but is it not true that if Celtic or the Hun had not gained the number of co-efficient points you state, that the SPL champs would not have direct entry? I.e. both teams helped catapult the eventual champ into the Group stage. So strictly speaking, DENIABHOY is correct.

  11. When ramsay scored, they must have thought plan b was going to work. They should have known shoe horning a battered star into a team doesn’t work. We tried it for years.

Well done bored for AP and for letting him get the players HE wants. Well done ange for Biton, Ralston, captain calmac, greg taylor (today, holy fugg!!!) and whatever the sweet fugg you’ve put in Tam’s tea.

    Brilliant.

Not sure what’s up with hatate- suppose it’s ok not to be superman.

  12. JHB, Get over yourself and your opininions about everything and possibly nothing,

Apologies if I gave the impression that Celtic are solely responsible for Scotland’s much improved coefficient. My intention was to refute the notion in the press here that the peepul across the river are solely responsible for Scotland’s 21-22 champions likely qualification for the CL group stages.

  14. record are banging on a penalty for wangers – keep feeding the hordes record so they won’t see the obvious

Bodo drop 2 points at home vs Rosenborg in first game of the season after entertaining 2-2 draw.

  16. Apparently Hatate played a full Season in Japan & came directly to Celtic .

He has not had a break in over a year and it’s showing,

  17. Timing is all. Our victory early February, and now our victory almost exactly two months later have put us in the driving seat, and we’ve got Ange at the wheel. Next Saturday’s game against the Saints is sold out, win and we go nine clear.

Lets see if the Peaky Blinders can redeem themselves after an obsession with Moseley. Failing that the mighty Ken Burns on Ali starts on BBC2 later on. Forever thankful for PBS.

  18. That was a sound team display.all contributing to our victory.

Joe Hart- sound.exuded confidence.save in 2nd half vital, part of a defence that played well.avoided getting hit by bottle, which was later mysteriously found in bits

Greg Taylor- timing vital in the tackle, reads the game well, always available for team mates,is not afraid of work.hope injury today does not impede run in

CCV-belter of game and a goal too!telly gave m.o.m,our team was that imo.sign him, performances like today’s god willing will enable Champions league to be dangled as a carrot.Defensive contribution immense, good goal with assists from baloogun and hundstrom cfor winner

Starfelt-like all of Anges 1st team recruitment improving with each game, getting wee bit better each, more confident wi each game, shows with us and in Sweden squad.

Josip- caught with first goal,he is in our team.team had disquieting òpening 6mins,so part of a wee malaise Ange will sort I am sure.

Calmac-Celtic captain.played like one,led like one and spoke like one after. His slalom was a hot knife thro butter, psychologically nutted them while resetting the whole teams confidence.

Hatate-Think the travel may have caused the lag in his engine,in 2nd half Ange made good sub, good shot for first goal.comfy on ball.

Tom Rogic he’s potent.should have had good 2nd but shot over, ball control and thinking and passing in tight space magic.strong team player

Jota – sign him please Celtic, good game today, subjected to some clugger tackles, important today and avoided getting hit by bottle,

Giakoumakis-my m.o.m,led well and defended well, took some dull yins for us but like the team a wee bit individual getting better we get team profit as we reap this happening with most Anges first eleven.

Maeda.- I hope he heard final whistle as you get impression he’d still be out there, shutting, closing down.magic energy, available and defended first line too.get him signed.

Matt o Riley was settling in well til a clugger ended his game.hope he recovers well for run in

Tony Ralston- fitted into shape well, couple of good runs,

Abada-should have been 3 for sure, poss 4 if earlier chance had been taken, keep honing the finishing and Celtic will profit.Goals surround him.

Nir Booking some exquisite runs on the ball,we know Nir deals well with cluggers so we knew the yellow would at home of cluggers.

David Turnbull great to see you back, some shot, slotted in well

We won well today.smile Celts.we are one.

Pictures out there of injury to staff, the bottle at 2nd half start, symbolic of their identity,in bits for rest of time.sad but if we win each game today could be seen as first tremor in a wee series of earthquakes down @£1park.-🤫

    Thanks Celtic for today.

    HH all,love to all.

  20. 18 Yard Man – no worries. It was meant to be a tongue-in-cheek, backhanded compliment to newco, Thanks for all your efforts, now we hoover up all the rewards 😄

Night everyone, I’ll sleep peacefully tonight 🌙💤

  21. Reo Hatate has been nothing short of excellent for us, young guy, moving to the other end of the world, Ibrox whether we like it or not is a hard place to perform .. I think Reo will learn from today ….

We have a terrific squad, manager, and captain, we’ve had decades of success … but, but this squad could maybe deliver even more success

Giamakous was my this hour man of the match, great shift fae the big man

  22. Remember Hatate was at the other end of the world a few days ago representing his country…. That’s a fair shift
