    Whenever you go into battle there will be some who are nervous and apprehensive and inexperienced. They will look around for support and inspiration. They will expect this from their leader.

    I don’t want to fixate on the bottle thing but it must have happened within the last two minutes or so of the break before the game resumed after half time.

     

     

    On the sky sports coverage at that exact time – ie about two minutes before the restart , so around 2:01:22 into the whole recording – you can clearly see an Ibrox groundsman working around the penalty spot and another not too far away.

     

     

    Could be wrong but it Seems impossible that they wouldn’t have noticed the glass had it been there at that time.

    So now we know how easy it is to take glass bottles into the dilapidated stadium in Govan.

     

     

    A direct consequence of two things.

     

     

    1. The unwillingness of football authorities, police, law enforcement, judiciary and government to stand up to these Nazis.

     

     

    2. An organisation running on fumes who use volunteer stewards (some with criminal records) rather than professionals … just to save a few bob.

    Many different players can be captains … in the recent past Broony, Neil Lennon, Stephen McManus to your Roy Aitkens or Paul McStays … all very good in their own right but for the moment , Callum is doing some job … what an amazingly different young kid that went to Notts County on loan …. Absolutely loving the bond our manager and captain enjoy …

    Both bottle incidents are being covered on national radio stations (it even made the news section of Planet Rock) so there is no way this can be swept under the peepel carpet. Just speculation on my part but it’s probably likely that a full glass bottle was thrown and it hit the bar and smashed over the box? I just hope that all of the seven hundred make it home safe.

    I cannae get the link but Callum really wanted to Captain Celtic and it was when they were on a break in a Sunnier climate.

     

     

    He is doing an Amazing job and he bought into Ange’s vision. It has to be said Big Nir Bitton was excellent when he came on Today, he made 1 mistake but everything else he done was Magical and exuded confidence given frae a Manager who Believes in players.

     

     

    Braga will hopefully keep the tie alive so they think they can go through. I think the Hun will lose by 3 or 4 goals in Portugal howevaaah.

    100% .. Callum’s run obviously made the goal, I was screaming for a penalty but I always do even though I knew it wasn’t a foul or we get penalties at the Victorian Lavvy, especially at the Copeland Road end, or the glass throwing tramps end …

    I think Callum was the one player Brendan would have loved to have taken to Leicester, Callum has been at Celtic since he was about 8 …. This is just the next part of his Celtic journey … totally agree about big Nir he was terrific when he came on, another who has been an easy target at times …. Sometimes by me when he has had a few dodgy sending offs :-) but we need to the the good with the bad and big Nir is a tremendous player for Ange to call on

    I know everyone has most likely had a drink….. but the conspiracy theories about Huns throwing shards of glass seem to be way too far fetched.

     

    How would you even throw a shard of glass?

     

    How would you throw multiple shards?

    Great result — poor second half.

     

     

    Huge amount of work still to do.

     

     

    We are missing something regarding physical conditioning and on-field intelligence.

     

    The sloppy / patchy / bitty play at times was incredible — schoolboy levels of performance.

     

    No shape / little control / lack of urgency — all were part of us allowing them back into the game.

     

    We made them look good so much to do for two weeks time.

    There is no doubt that there is material for a debate on today’s performance , we haven’t witnessed a game quite like that for some time.
