Reports of Roberts loan to Celtic denied

509

Celtic have NOT agreed a deal to take Patrick Roberts on loan next season.  Sources within the club expressed surprise at reports claiming as much. The club have been working with Manchester City and the player for some months, in an attempt to secure the services of the England youth international.

A loan deal is only one of the options being discussed.  But while Celtic look the most likely destination for Patrick, there is still work to be done.

Celtic, who will soon be able to offer guaranteed Champions League football to prospective players, are active in a number fronts.

All I’m saying is that they don’t use Cqn.

I’d be very surprised if a 1000 Celtic fans use CQN, despite the “hits” – only about 15 actaully post ;o)

If someone said CQN was poor I’d ask what was better?? most of the other sites have many more problems than here in my experience.

My dad hardly missed a game till his last in 1977 after we sold Dalglish to Liverpool. He would watch Celtic in the house and pub, but the last 36 years of his life, he would never go back to Celtic Park. I tried to get him to come with me and my cousins and mates, but sadly he never did.

You would have left him in town and jump into a taxi with the other gangsters lol

Those who know me are aware that I wouldn’t have taken it as a dig sir.

A balance is required that was my point. I can understand why those who look in on Cqn see it as a blog of right wing, board cychphants.

I frequently point out that that is not the reality. and that Cqn is full of interesting, intelligent and reasonable Celtic supporters.

    It’s hard sometimes.

I constantly encourage her, she goes to more games than most on here. Sadly, she’s scunnered with the fundamentalists on both sides.

My dad hated the Kellys but especially Desmond White with a vengeance. He thought Davie Hay and Kenny Dalglish were our future. He got disillusioned with Celtic when we sold both and Lou Macari. He knew we would never see again what he witnessed in 1967. God rest Robert.

    Joy Division were previously Warsaw.

They were not glorifying the nazi camps by choosing their name Joy Division, but to highlight the atrocities of slavery and rape in Polska during the war.

Forgive Germany, but will never forget.

You’re subsequent post ( the first one addressed to my Moniker ) chastised a pro board stance,

    on CQN.

I’m said I wasn’t conscious of posts being too pro board.

That said ‘extremist’ posts are certainly much more noticeable on CQN than elsewhere on Celtic sites, and they are generally extremist in an anti rather than pro board sense.

I reckon middle ground is pretty prevalent daily on CQN and by and large Celtic supporters are fairly balanced despite the board bashers, though not that skilled or knowledgable in the contract intricacies involving millionaire footballers.

Apologies, I know your post was for H.T. but I couldn’t help myself from jumping in.

This is an honest conversation from work today, I was talking about CQN with two pre-season ticket holders, one said I don’t know how you can go on there it full of pro board propaganda, when i attempted to stick up for CQN, the other ghuy said come on,you have to admit it’s full of old men with right wing views. I said well I consider myself neither.

So there you go, that’s how a very small portion of our fellow support see us.

    Hail Hail

    ———————

I’ve had a few comments like that from some.

The thing is most of the demographic that post on here are middle aged, that have seen and done it to make Celtic the club it is, as others in past have done.

I listen to my kids go on about how old fashioned my brother is re the GB and how I think they are the conductors of a magnificent orchestra.

My brother was on the pitch fighting with huns at Hampdump and fractured his hand.

Short memory he has re our younger supporters.

My father had no love for any Celtic board, my father stopped going to games around 1969 and I was born in 1970…. going to games as a kid my mother was always worried for one reason or another even though I had had two older brothers I was referred too “you are as daft as your father” I now realise it was such a compliment :-)

  20. Delaney’s. I saw flaming lips at the barrowlands on Tuesday night. They were simply brilliant. Hope you are well.
