Celtic have NOT agreed a deal to take Patrick Roberts on loan next season. Sources within the club expressed surprise at reports claiming as much. The club have been working with Manchester City and the player for some months, in an attempt to secure the services of the England youth international.
A loan deal is only one of the options being discussed. But while Celtic look the most likely destination for Patrick, there is still work to be done.
Celtic, who will soon be able to offer guaranteed Champions League football to prospective players, are active in a number fronts.

Some excellent points there on Brendan – I’m always wondering how he feels about the board and if there is any potential fall out re financial backing, what he thinks
Cont…….about the banners and the SMSM and worry that he could end up leaving.
He would be an asset anywhere.
Yes, WE are very lucky to have him.

I can only judge that aspect by his comments. He stated he has their ( board) backing and if necessary will break the transfer record. I’d be surprised if he’s being disingenuous with those comments.
There has to be a ceiling on spend of course. I’d think that ceiling is somewhat higher than ever and will be heightening year on year at this rate of progress.
Time will tell bud.
Brendan is here for 10 in a Row, 10 in a Row.
Dinnae ever forget that.
Great Night and God Bless y’all.
Næ Mercy whatsoever

sorry, tablet issues – It could be frightening what Brendan could achieve with the right backing. We have our dreams :-)

A review of the Astana game. Load to go at – Ntcham, Sinclair and Brown never made the article cut. We go all the breaks, but a calm, patient and mature performance was tinged with ruthlessness. HH
Well so far this season I haven’t managed to pick the team correctly, although I was only wrong with one player midweek.
So its naught for 6 I am .
Here goes.
4 2 3 1 .
Craigie G .
Ralston Bitton Ajer n Wee KT
Ollie n Broonie.
Benyu Streach n Sinky.
Griff.
Going for 5 nil the hoops with Big Nir banging one in.

Morning all
Sipsini 12.21.
That’s hilarious about your brother, having the short memory not the hand fracture.
Have you seen the picture on Twitter? What our fathers done and what our fathers moan about.
It shows two pictures, one our fans on the pitch fighting in 1980 and the other a Green Brigade banner. Maybe your brother is in the picture.
Hail Hail
50 Shades
Well you have picked the same back four as I did last night so that must be a certainty now :-)’
I thought Broonie and Griff might be rested and also felt Cal Mac would start.
Cheerio for now,golf calls.

Celtic By Numbers
As others have commented before, that’s some amount of work you put into these analyses. Do you have to watch a rerun of the game several times or is it a case of constantly pressing the pause button and noting your findings? And when the game’s “live” do you just watch it for what it is, not thinking about your analysis till later?
Great work and a good read.
MrsWF and I are taking care of the grandkids tonight. What to do? 9 year old says “Let’s go see Celtic.” Night sorted.Take care all you visiting fans.HH.
Now, now! Regarding Mayweather v McGregor, and paying to watch a rigged contest, people in glass houses shouldn’t throw stones.

Burghbhoy / Twists
Am with you both, wouldn’t swap Brendan for any manager on the go, listening to Stevie Gee &a Kris Commons talking about him and the likes of Sutton & Neil talking about Martin O’Neill, they both sound much the same, lovely but ruthless, BR is pretty special
Roll on Killie
As a BT subscriber what’s the deal with this Sky main event thing? Can I get the game on my to today??? It’s showing the city Swansea match on the guide – any way to change that?
To = tv
I’m not s ‘speculate to accumulate’ guy but this is the transfer window to start getting ready for the much tougher CL qualification that we might have next year.
Centre half of serious quality and a quality defender who can perhaps fill in across the back line (if one exists!) would be massive. And the eye hopefully should be on another CF too.
Now is the hour.

It’s on the Sky Football channel – depends what you’ve got included in your BT package
Jimmynotpaul, if the OBAF bill was about when we were teenagers attending our matches , the majority of now middle aged Celtic fans would have been lifted for chants and songs sung.
I was working part time in the Presto supermarket in Drumchapel the day of the 1980 cup final.
The part time staff had a sweep for first goal scorer . I drew Celtic number 9 and won it winningbthe grand total of a tenner ,which as a 16 year old , was a fortune.
My preference for today is for Krstoff Ajer to start in defence today as has plenty of experience playing on the Killie pitch. Possibly with Lustig beside him and Anthony Ralston at right back.
My son is going to today’s game and is thankful I’m not with him . He was beelin with me at Rugby Park last season as I was joining in with Glasgow’s green and white as well as in the heat of Lisbon . He thinks us old gets should not be singing at our games.
Jimmy notpaul, did Paddy sign up with Cumbernauld for this season?
I’m thinking of going to the Pollok game today and give Tony a bit of grief.
Thanks Gene – I have sky sports through the bt package (after me saying I was done with Sky too!) so I’ve no idea!! I’ll have a look at my account. It’s just too confusing these days……
Killie have signed John Spencer’s son , Brad , from an American team . I wonder if Shug Keevins will coment on us not signing himjust like he did when we signed a dud , according to Shug , called Moravcik instead of ex hun player , Spencer.
Killie have also signed Eamon Brophy from Hamilton .
Kirk Broadfot being suspended , might make it a bit harder for us today lol
ROBERTTRESSELL
I had planned to get the game via NOW TV but it doesn’t seem to be available. Guess it must be on one of the new SKY channels that they don’t share?

Exceptional analysis, as usual. Glad you highlighted Lustig’s contribution. He has oft been criticised in my household by my sons for his propensity to make th easy pass back or inside rather than go for the lower percentage but higher return pass.
Jabba and Keech get a pasting along with G&SL as usual ..

Twists N Turns
Great post earlier.we are absolutely blessed to have Brendan at the club. There is simply no one better we could have to lead the club.
Heading home from the game on Wednesday I was looking forward to listening to his post match analysts as much as I was looking forward to seeing the goals again.
I haven’t felt like that since the MON era.
This week’s CQN Coupon –

Big Dedryck back training start of September according to BR.A real threat from set pieces is our Dedryck.
Nice words from the horrible Jig ahead of todays game.
“Kris Ajer came into play that night. When he was here last season on loan he was our best player. Anthony Ralston played too and I see him being Scotland’s next right-back for years to come – that’s how good he is.
The future is Green and White.

I hope you see this.
Thank you for sharing your analysis. That is best read on any football I have had in a long time.

Dallas.
Yes Paddy signed back up for Cumbernauld. He’s been in Minnesota so he’s just played a couple of league cup games.
They are playing Petershill away, last season when his name was announced the home crowd booed him, because of his name. Pathetic.
You are right about the 80s. I remember going to Pittodrie, beach end and the whole 15 minute break was Bobby Sands being sung over and over.
Hail Hail
Wednesday’s result probably means that changes will be kept to a minimum. Ajer or Ralston for Simunovic, Armstrong & McGregor for Ntcham & Rogic, and if Hayes is fit he may replace Forrest.
Gordon
Ralston Lustig Bitton Tierney
McGregor Brown Armstrong
Hayes Griffiths Sinclair
Subs DeVries Ajer Miller Ntcham Forrest Benyu Aitchison
