SCEPOVIC CRUNCH TALKS

STRUGGLING Stefan Scepovic’s agent is heading to Parkhead for crunch talks over the Serb’s future as the striker’s future hangs in the balance – as CQN Magazine told you on Monday.
The £2.2m summer signing from Sporting Gijon has failed to make an impact in Glasgow, scoring only four goals after starting seven games and making 16 substitute appearances.
Manager Ronny Deila has already admitted the player is still a “project”.

Scepovic’s agent revealed: “If all parties felt that a move would be the best thing, then I have no doubt there would be options for Stefan. He has a good reputation in Spain.

“But I don’t know if that is the situation. It is too early.

“Everything will depend on what the club want to do and how the player feels.”
Scepovic, signed on the last day of the August transfer deadline, has been overshadowed by John Guidetti, in the first part of the season, and Leigh Griffiths after the turn of the year.
Deila reckons he needs a lot of work done on his game before he is ready for the rigours of the SPFL.
He admitted on CQN Magazine earlier in the week: “With every player we need to see an advancement all the time.Stefan is still a project. We have to work on that. It’s been different for him. The style of playing maybe, the tempo in the games is not what he was used to.”
There seems little doubt that the Hoops would part with the player if they could recoup their initial transfer outlay.
