Send our players back to Lennoxtown as soon as possible

I know what you are worried about after last night’s Scotland performance, “He’s going to throw James Forrest in now.”  My feeling on the matter is that James, Callum and Kieran all need to ‘work on their fitness’ a bit.

Since managing Scotland for a few months in 2007, a period that included a 0-1 win in Paris, Alex McLeish has been found out in five subsequent appointments, ending ignominiously in North Africa.  He has the look of what he is, a man earning enough to make good on a tax bill that recently came his way, and nothing else.  Nice gig if you can get it.  He also selects players who are banned for life from the national team.

Scotland have the players to beat the 94th team in the world but were not sufficiently competent to fix up a manager who already lives in the country but manages in Belfast, or conduct an adequate search for an alternative.

The result of this, is that fans stopped caring, as do many players, by the look of it.  I don’t know a single person who was upset last night, the Scotland international football fascination is over.  The once great endeavour of football as a self-contained unit in Scotland is over, everybody knows it.  Send our players back to Lennoxtown as soon as possible, please.

  1. Oh well, took Polska and the Tallies for a draw in the ole LMS, heartbreak at the death. Never mind, i can always take advantage of the LMS 5 way agreement style loophole and i’ll be back in business next week.

  2. Just turned over to NFL – when I was in Boston last week they were advertising New England Patriots game FROM $109 – that’s £83

Been reading a lot on here about international fitba, for me I like seeing players playing for their country (or adopted country) never equate it with Celtic, delighted to see Jack Hendry playing against strikers better than he will face week to week, I love the World Cup watching football without the Celtic worry is good every couple of years if you fling in the Euros, again understand every Celtic fan putting Celtic first but if we had an international manager with a bit of nouse (Stevie Clarke) build your team around serial winners … Gordon, Tierney, (Armstrong) MacGregor, Forrest, Griffiths… there is half a team of winners to mould into a winning team … easy peasy

  5. While in New England saw lots of homes and businesses with pumpkin displays on their front doorsteps – best place for them

That’s a lot more than £49 and you don’t even get to see the Old England Patriots, the original mob.

All that for a tribute act. NEPQN should be in meltdown.

4-1 & 5-1 at Ibrox in the 88/89 season we were offered £100 for £8 tickets so am afraid old or new huns there is still a market out in the big bad world …

There is a market on here as sometimes people who repeat the acne posts also justify the tax evaders with every post

Growing up always thought Celtic played without a goalie (backy would have been good) Roy Baines, Peter Latchford, Pat Bonnar, Johnny Gould (legend) Stewart Kerr and others then … Artur Boruc (my number 1 ever) Fraser Foster and Craig Gordon who I also think is excellent (apologies for whoever I missed especially Magnus Hedman…. twin sisters no wonder he couldn’t concentrate :-)

Who is your favourite goalie ?

Ma Da always said Ronnie Simpson was mince (he didn’t say that in a bad way :-)

Anyone know if the SFA have a contractual obligation to provide broadcasters with a certain number of home friendlies in international windows when we have NO competitive match?

Am trying to figure out the logic of playing matches against VASTLY superior opposition.

Does nothing for morale and Belgium and Portugal don’t come cheap.

BTW – have read a countless match reports and listened to more commentaries than I can recall.

Today is the first time I have ever witnessed a footballer losing possession 60 yards out with four team mates behind him being blamed for the loss of a goal.

  15. To all of you. My brothers, in life. It has been brought to my attention the film, just released BLACK 47.

Ive watched it. I’m still crying. I urge you all to watch it. I ts to do with the famine. It covers so many subjects from Irishmen going to fight in Afghanistan (yes, even then) to a country starving yet still exporting food.

There is a particularly scene in it, when the Presbyterians are offering SOUP to the starving all they had to do was denounce the pope and the church of Rome. It made me wonder, Ireland was a predominately Catholic Country at that time. WHY WASNT THE CATHOLIC CHURCHES OFFERING SOUP? Maybe someone can enlighten me.

I have to add, for balance, I’m agnostic.

So please enlighten me. Why didnt the Catholic Churches give out soup?

  19. Back to basics

Felt the same when Stuart Armstrong copped the blame for England’s equaliser in the 2-2 game . Plenty of teammates goal side.

Thought Charlie Mulgrew was more at fault as he was marking Arry Kane
