SFL delivers as SPL Ltd facing insolvency

1374

The Scottish Football League today placed an upper limit on which division Sevco can play in next season – their Third.  We must now wait on the company providing sufficient information to complete their application to the SFL and for membership of the Scottish FA.  Although many Rangers fans want Sevco to join the Third Division, chief exec Charles Green was clearly hoping to start life higher up the food chain.

The overwhelming nature of this verdict indicates the solidarity between clubs and fans, throughout the divisions, on how our sport is governed.  This is a good thing but it leaves one burning question on the table:

Is the Scottish Premier League insolvent?

Last week SPL chief exec Neil Doncaster told SFL clubs that the Premier League would be unable to meet its contractual obligations if they did not vote Sevco into the First Division.  Unless this was a shameless lie designed to bully clubs into giving Doncaster what he wanted, the Scottish Premier League Ltd should seek to appoint an administrator without delay.

You can ignore comments about league reconstruction at some unspecified point in the future, Doncaster told us last year that “those who want 16 teams in the top flight are deluding themselves.”

The Scottish Football League does not need the SPL, or its money, to continue to thrive as a community-based sporting entity.  They will flourish.  What happens to the SPL remains to be seen.

As we have observed once or twice before, M. Platini, where are you?  We need the football world to assist with the survival of the game in one of its historic heartlands.

See all the muppets that bought the new strip for former club rangers, what happened to that money do u think?

Rough figures… Say £40 a shirt (that will often be worn but rarely washed)….

Say, 50’000 minimum bought it (with stolen or dole money)

You’re talking about (and one of them wouldn’t manage this arithmetic) 2million quid, and I’d say minimum.

Not that I really care as they have wasted cash on what is essentially a memento. But is that 2m to green?

I ALWAYS hate getting ‘small’ teams in cups etc – part of you always fears an upset is on the cards. There is a good reason for that – wee teams not only try their hearts out but the are technically inept and therefore have evolved to play a different type of football than the likes of Celtic.

Celtic players are faced with new unpredictable challenges – it’s sometimes impossible to 2nd guess an inferior player..usually because when they play at a higher level they don’t know themselves what they are going to do – it all becomes UNPREDICTABLE.

Newco will have a very UNPREDICTABLE season – nothing can be taken for granted…

How many times is Regan wanted us punished FFs

    ———————————————————————————————

according to journo’s on twatter we have not been punished yet, everything that has happened so far is the consequences of liquidation.. apparently!

    ————————————————————————————————

Does this not constitute making our position in Scotland`s FA untenable. Therefore opening up the opportunity to apply to another FA!!!

This is becoming serious ****ing joke!!! We have been PUNISHED enough!!!

    —————————————————————————————

He just cannot help himself. He is a weak individual who constantly blames others for his own incompetent failures – from Whyte’s suitability as a fit and proper person through to bullying the SPL and the SFL.

    —————————————————————————-

It is getting to a stage they don’t even know what they are punishing us for anymore.

They just have it in their mind set now that we are going to be punished regardless.

We must be the most punished club in the history of world football.

    ———————————————————————————————-

As sure as hell, it wont be a points deduction in SFL 3 !

    A 10-point deduction isn’t a punishment? The four fines?

i think its a load of bollocks but the hacks on twitter keep repeating that we have not been punished yet

    ————————————————————————

Is the SFA a limited company whose director’s liabilty is limited by incorporation or can the officials and office bearer’s be sued individually in a Court of Law, whether it be by a member club or an individual (therefore taking the corrupt UEFA and FIFA out of the equation).

Just asking because a couple of years ago there was a serious risk that individual officials of the IFA would be sued for the unlawful sacking of Howard Wells as IFA Chief Executive. The IFA agreed a huge out of court settlement to avoid being sued!!

    ————————————————————

ey will try to punish us because we took them to court and won.

That should be the end of it.

this mob are trying to move in for the kill.

    ——————————————————————

It is the BBCs wishes/hopes added to what Regan said earlier.

    ———————————————————————————–

t’s personal now, of that their is no doubt.

Someone from UEFA really needs to pull him up.

He is meant to be trying to restore some calm to the whole situation instead he is whipping the whole thing up into an even bigger frenzy.

    ————————————————————————————

BBC Scotland reminding Regan, or Regan tipping off BBC Scotland?

    —————————————————————————————–

If Green doesn’t realise after today the power we have over the SFA at present, he needs to sell up tomorrow.

Regan needs to realise the precedent he’s setting too. If any of the 3 SPL clubs who have apparently admitted privately to Traynor that they “wouldn’t survive” a Div 3 vote are in our situation anytime soon, some of the mooted sanctions would kill these teams off forever.

Whatever Regan tries with us, he won’t kill us. There are too many of us and we’re galvanised beyond belief to defy him. But endless points deductions, relegations, suspensions fines etc will kill a Motherwell/Kilmarnock/ICT – not consign them to lower leagues forever, but kill them forever.

If the SFA (Regan) really said this tonight and unless the BBC are pulling out a pre-planned rehash of previous statements in order to “keep up” the bad news, the SFA should be in emergency session right now (sans Regan) planning how to stop him before he ends all of their careers and the professional game in Scotland forever.

  21. Re NewHunFC and ‘history’.

Let’s face it, there’s going to be an arguement about their ‘history’ in pubs, workplaces etc. forever more. No bad thing. Keep reminding them of it. The main points for me to get it through to the real thickos is to ask them why was a CVA was of paramount importance to them. It was the way to go for all who wanted to takeover the club. Why would you take on debt if you could just take a bullet and re-start again with your ‘history’ intact? Of course the answer is the retention of ‘history’.

Again, you could mention the co-efficient their new team will get if it ever gets into europe again. It’ll be 0. A brand new team has no history, therefore no co-efficient.

There is another way of puting it to bed, and it’ll be very interesting to see if it’ll happen. On the SFL’s webpage, they have a list of every team in it and it lists their past successes, if they have any . When sevco eventually takes it’s place, it’ll be interesting to see what they list.

If you look at Airdrie for instance, I know it’s a hard thought especially for a ‘Brig fellow, it has them listed as being formed in 1965 and not much else. In actual fact, Clydebank were formed in 1965 and as Airdrie United took them over, they retain that year as their formation. What it does not list is the honours won by Airdrie

FC. No mention of a Div 1 Championship, a Scottish Cup win and a Scottish Challenge Cup win.

setting free the bears – Rangers is dead.

Sevco 5088 is a tribute act, a homage to Rangers. They did not inherit Rangers’ place in the league, and they don’t inherit their sins or liabilities.

The investigations into the misdeeds of the now defunct club should and will continue. If found guilty of improper registration of players, leagues and trophies will have to be retrospectively reassigned. Charges may be forthcoming if it the investigation into Rangers’ finances uncovers any evidence of criminality.

But Sevco 5088 isn’t responsible for any of that. They’re a plucky little new club who at present barely have enough players to fill a minibus.

    ——————————-

A couple of weeks ago,Dr. Gregory Ionnidis(@Law Report) cautioned that it was necessary to initiate the process of stripping R*nkers(IA) of the ‘Stolen Titles’ before they went into liquidation.

He suggested that once R*nkers went into liquidation,it would no longer be technically possible to remove the titles from the former club.

Conveniently, the SFA have stalled the investigation into the Dual Contracts issue, which would have provided the evidence to strip the titles.

I presume that Celtic FC may feel that it would not be appropriate to press the issue at this time.

However, this would not prevent other interested parties, such as the Celtic shareholders, and those of other affected clubs, from bringing their own preliminary legal challenge, whilst they await the findings of the SFA & FTT investigations into EBT/Dual Contracts…perhaps under the umbrella of a ‘Group Action’ ?

This would also help to reinforce the solidarity between the supporters of Scotland’s Honest Clubs, while they search around in the Dark, for the Omnipotent Stake,to finally despatch The Foul Beast from its Mortal Coil…

And who knows, restitution of the titles may strengthen the case for pursuing financial claims in respect of lost prize money and UEFA competition revenues ?

Sounds like a job for an Awesome Ginger Lawyer, doesn’t it…..?

Am I the only one who thinks that the assumption that New Rangers will automatically achieve season on season promotion from Div 3 (assuming thats where they start) , even with all the help they’re bound to get from the MIB, is actually a pretty big assumption?

EVERY game will be a cup final for their opponents.

Their players will be nowhere near the standard of those they’ve previously used your tax money and mine to fund and theyve got a manager who is , in my opinion , utterly uninspiring by any standard by which success is measured.

I suspect the SFA are more worried about this than they’ll ever let on.

Failure to gain promotion in any one of the next three seasons could derail them irretrievably.

  28. Hector Avocado. Silence is tacit consent. on

    Dozens of things to consider

So, the story so far as I see it….

    What we know for certain

    1) Rangers FC 1872 are in Liquidation

    2) Rangers FC 1872 fraudulently acquired results on the park through undeclared Dual Contracts

    3) Rangers FC 1872 fraudulently acquired taxation from employees and did not pass it on to HMRC.

    4) Rangers FC 1872 cheated taxpayers out of millions of pounds in revenue.

    5) Duff and Phelps made 2.5m out of the taxpayer and other creditors by running the Club at a loss during administration.

    6) The SFA, SPL and SFL authorities have shown themselves to be heavily conflicted, bullied, threatened and harassed member clubs and have colluded against fairness and a judicious process.

    7) Sevco will not be playing in the SPL

    8) Sevco will not be playing in the SFL Division 1

    9) Sevco will not be playing in the SFL Division 2

    10) The Scottish MSM are moribund.

    11) The NM have lead the way along with MSMs like Alex Thompson on C4.

    12) Regan, Doncaster and Ogilvie are compromised and are wholly unpopular across the footballing population of both fans and clubs.

What we don’t know for certain

    1) If Sevco will be able to get a team together

    2) Who Sevco’s financial backers are and whether they will walk away

    3) If Sevco will be in administration soon.

    4) If Sevco will be successful in an application to join the SFL

    5) If a non league club will launch a legal bid against a Newco being parachuted into SFL Div3

    6) If the SFL/SPL will snub democracy and plough ahead with more plans to get Sevco into the top flight

    7) Whether the SFA Appelate panel will convene to punish Rangers FC 1872

    8) Whether Sevco who are at Ibrox and wearing Rangers FC 1872 ties and emblems will be held accountable for the crimes of Rangers FC 1872.

    9) Whether the SPL will continue to investigate Rangers FC 1872

    10) Rangers FC 1872 will be stripped of their fraudulent titles and trophies and those same redistributed to other clubs.

    11) Whether Sevco will play with with Rangers FC 1872 strips and history.

    12) Whether Sir David Murray will soon be just David Murray. Whether anyone will be going to jail over the whole fiasco.
