Some things are more important

I know we are in the middle of a storm with the prospect of the San Siro, not to mention St Johnstone ahead.  I also know the only thing you want to read or write about is how we are going to resolve our problems, but there is more to Celtic than football, specifically the Foundation.

The history poverty is clear, the poor suffer more from an economic crisis than anyone.  2020 has been a terrible year to be poor and many more people are now poor than a year ago.  Your Foundation stepped in early in the crisis and continues to work on our behalf.  There has been practically no fundraising this year: no badge day, no bucket collection or Ghirls for Good.

The Sleep Out, which takes place each winter, goes ahead on Friday night as Stay Up for the Champions.  You can participate from your home, details here.  If that is not possible, you can help in other ways here.

We are so much more than just a football club, the Foundation is evidence of that.

We’re launching Celtic: Fifty Flags Plus One, an anthology of how Celtic won each of their league titles today.  Starting with our first title in 1893, it details how Willie Maley brought consistent glory, then the sparse successes over four decades before Jock Stein arrived in 1965 and the more contemporary wins since.

It will rekindle memories you had forgotten and give insight into how the leagues were won.

    Sounds like a place @MacariFDN where our new, working class, socialist leaders of OUR CLUB, can create important links with, once our new leaders have withdrawn next years season ticket investment into our club, until Desmond, O’Brien, and Lawwell’s share value falls through the floor, forcing them out.

     

    First manager sacked by, our soul less, capitalist leaders, 26 years ago.

    Der hun King’s trying to offload his worthless Sevco shares as stocking fillers to unsuspecting “Rangers FC” supporters before Santa’s sledge hits the skids.

     

    Are the SFA, BBC Scotland and Radio Clyde legally complicit in this shebang….. knowingly propagating the continuity lie which shored up the share price of “Rangers International FC” leading presently to ordinary huns and other investors being misled?.

     

    Any hun presenter or otherwise, live on air had better think twice, distinguish the difference between Rangers International FC and the liquidated Rangers FC, or forever hold their pieces in court for the duration.

    Hrvatski Jim – Thanks for responding I just had not seen any posts from yourself lately and thank goodness you are well, as well as can be in theee troubled times.

     

    I know what you mean about getting motivated about watching games with no fans, it’s hard very hard and that for me has impacted our team more than any other as well.

     

    Please get posting again I always enjoyed your posts.

    DD apparently won’t be forced into any changes because of the protests on Sunday night…..

     

     

    According to some media reports.

     

     

    He doesn’t like to be pushed around etc …………

     

     

    What has his reaction been to the current Sevco financial doping ?

     

     

    A squad of players they can’t afford, running at a loss of millions of pounds every year, still need more external finance to keep the lights on for the rest of the season.

     

     

    Total silence from DD, PL and our board again.

    I think it’s fairly obvious that the steady hands have rejected the plea!!!…… The steady hands were the obvious choices…. What now?. … Two names……… Neither fill me with confidence……. Jack Ross… Haggling with hibs….. Or malky Mackay.. I keep thinking of the eagles song…… Desperados….

    Fundamental question for me –

     

     

    Do we wish to change the mgt team to attempt to win our 10th league title in a row?

     

     

    Do we wish to change the mgt team to improve our opportunities for the next 3 to 5 years?

     

     

    The options aren’t necessarily mutually exclusive, though they could be.

    The season ticket holders could eventually grow a pair, action season ticket holders refunds, with the CST & The Green Brigade, and others cook up a plan of attack, along the lines of, reemphasizing our working class, socialist traditions, creating “Jobs For Celts” after season ticket holders could withhold season ticket money for next season, forcing DD, PL, etc out, once their share value crashes,no more of the offshore landed gentry, become a beacon for change, go back to our siege mentality roots, because the siege hasn’t gone away you know.

    Not saying I necessarily wanted them but I wouldn’t expect MON or WGS to want to come near this job.

     

     

    The pressure for 10IAR is immense and WGS has a decent little job as a pundit. I’m not sure we’ll see him manage again.

     

     

    MON is a legend here and if it goes wrong, that goes out of the window. He’s seen what has happened to Neil Lennon and will see that sections of the support have no issues about turning on one of our own.

     

     

    If I were them, at this stage of their lives I’d steer well clear.
