  1. McGregor wide ball to Izzy again behind man when he had acres of space in front of him stalled our momentum.

Why can’t we pass in front of our players?

  2. cathedral view on

    HT 0-0

We are playing our own game but are being frustrated by the unchecked defensive tactics of our opponent, the most obvious of which is to counter our attacks on the left by fouling Scott Sinclair at every opportunity.

  3. Saints are defending well. They’ve created two good chances, one Bain saved and one Watt put over.

We’ve controlled the game but created little. Against an organised team, our lack of potency from dead balls really hampers us. We need to score the perfect goal on days like today.

Did notice loads of passes behind the man when no pressure. Seems like an obvious fixable issue?

  5. We have played better in this first half than we did at the CP game.

St. J are more open and that is giving us chances that we have not yet taken.

I am sure the 4 penalty awards at Ibrox must have been more clear cut than the one on Burke ( Aye Right?).

Forrest, Izzy, Mcgregor, Burke and Christie have all been intermittently lively- they just need to put it together and Scott Sinclair needs to join in.

I feel we will need at least 2 goals to win this.

  6. Agree we need to be more offensive. Possession and square balls not doing it at the moment. Hate blaming the ref but he has been ‘at it’ on a few occasions. Would like to s the pen shout again

  7. Ryan Christies dead balls are woeful.

We are missing the Wizard of Oz big time, no creativity in the midfield

  8. usual away form continues – not a shot at goal, but pretty tippy tappy stuff but no real cutting edge. Ollie showing why he would be better deployed on the flanks. Christie has been poor on deliveries. Earn you corn Brendan.

Apart from a stonewall penalty denied by Collum we have not really looked like unparking the St J. bus. We badly need a cutting edge. Wonder if we’ll see Eddy or Timo second half. Both Sinclair and forrest have played most of the first half facing their own goal.

All lovely work until we get in and around the box. We seem to always look for a way to pass the ball back. We need to score early and the game will open up for us.

  11. Agenda there for all to see, the club must at least raise a concern after every game until it addressed.

To the game, Same pattern as mid week, Shoot Celtic and we will win, walk the ball in and the sfa win.

  12. St J defending deep, we are probing but with no great effect so far.

Better decision making in the last third and more pace in passing needed.

  13. We are playing without a recognized Striker, Willie is giving us nothing, we need French Eddie to lead the line & we need a break up front.

The way the MIBS are lining up this League will be hard won.

  14. Better overall performance but still very stilted and lacking in ambition.

    JF — absolutely honking.

OB — getting no support and the team is playing as if we still had GH in the team.

At least ScS is getting into the game after a slow start.

Overall a low intensity game where we seem to have delusions of adequacy.

Another 5% and the chances will come.

More of the same and they might sneak it.

  15. Massive 45 coming up. Celtic need to put an away win on the board first time of asking post break.

  16. Game lacks the intensity of Paradise on the smaller pitch.

No aerial threat from crosses makes it so

    much harder.

Collum revels in the controversy with his job guaranteed by the SFA.

    Time to unleash Eddy.

  17. Poor performance so far, lacking quality in the final third. Too many back passes and movements towards the ball. Not enough runners into the channels or in behind or breaking into the box. Third man running non existent. Set piece delivery abysmal as per. Need a more coherent strategy, tactically we can do better. Need more quality in the final third ultimately or make substitutions.

  18. only 2 mins added , KA was down for more than that himself anyway RC (apart from his goal) continuing on from were he left off last wed pretty poor, EI giving away too many stupid free kicks , ML back passing continues . When OB makes these runs into box somebody, anybody has to get into the box as well to assist , we have to create more against a packed defence its not as if we haven’t had a lot of practice for this type of defence.

  19. RICHIE@1-21

Or it is a coaching directive?

It’s been consistent all season so if not addressed it ‘s what’s wanted.

Unbelievable that in JF ,Burke and Sinclair we have 3 of the fastest in spl but rarely give them a ball in front to use their pace.

  20. Make no mistake, this is going to the SFA plan. If we go into the last 20 mins 0-0 I fear the worse. We need to come out all guns blazing, get a striker on and change the mindset pls Brendan. Too often there has been no one in the middle of their area.
