well done Celtic , well done the back 3 and especially Jullien.
Bhoylo83 on
What a signing big Jullien has been, a born leader and a born winner. Hope to god nothing happens to him
Btw thought Tom Rogic was very good when he came on
Scott Brown very quiet again, I wonder how fit he is

Tough 90 minutes that provided a huge contrast to the recent SPL game.
Does the SC include drugs tests?
MIB rolling back the years — BM was at it big time.
The state of the pitch was shocking — 50 years ago shocking.
Good game, poor performance but a great result.
The SF draw was to be expected — most difficult oppponents up next.
Squad is starting to look a bit thin with less time to sort things out.
The more things change, the more they stay the same.

I wouldn’t judge any player on that ploughed quagmire today unless they had ‘chucked it’ no-one in hoops did that, the odd squirted pass or dodgy dribble is forgivable. What shone through the mire, particularly in the second half, was team spirit – with a goal anytime and today it counted.
Thought Celtic the better side throughout. Became a bit alarmed as the number of missed chances accumulated. During the brief period when St Johnstone got a toe-hold Madden gave them every assistance. Classic Scottish refereeing.
A hun supporting grade 1 referee who also has, allegedly a gambling habit.
Only in scoddland.

BM = textbook MIB performance.
Kept it calm for the first half — a few sly digs plus the caution to NB under pressure but nothing that would could be seen as an out and out cheating in the 2009 style.
However as the second half develops and the chance of an upset increases he goes into overdrive or sorry “over-dive” — St J players throwing them selves to the ground and he awards a free kick as a matter of course.
We go ahead and it is then it is full on.
JMcC = straight red in any other game.

You can say Booby Madden is a cheat of highest and sleekiest order.
Splendid cup tie in Perth followed yesterday’s sumptious schadenfreude and a battling Saints performance that only temporarily kept Celtic from Kings Park. Europa maligned Celtic shook off the shackles long enough for a fiesty win with a Jullien/Christie combo, and a few near things.
How to lift players between Thursday and Sunday requires professionalism, but having better players in the first place usually wins hands down, the incredible run continues and on a day where we’ve seen better surfaces Celtic set about their task of being a ball in the draw, and you can’t win every country outing 0-7.
NFL shuffled his pack and they ground out our day in the semi.

Well done Celtic, had to really dig that one out, similar tough game Wednesday, Will take same result.
A wee offering for Sydney Tim from the BBC site :
” Formidable Forrest
Celtic have enjoyed the talents of a number of exceptional players but one that has remained steadfast throughout their cup runs is James Forrest.
The one-club forward has played 29 of the 33 games in Celtic’s winning sequence and in that time he’s found the net 15 times.
When we couple that with a further nine assists in that period it just shows how important the Scotland international has been.”
That was like watchin’ Scotsport – all that was missing was a talking Sports Jacket.
I’m delighted we’re thru but If I’m honest I’m as delighted that the huns can’t “win it” either.
NEWRADBHOY
Was an eight page thread on the vile site that got pulled saying the same.
They were cracking up over there,
Been a pretty good 24hrs.
HH!
76% possession for St Johnstone? I find that hard to believe.

Hope all is well over in weissbierland !

Madhun came in to his own in the last half hour.
It’s in games like this Celtic are most vulnerable to honest mistakes.
Thanks for the updates
Murrayfield for Hibs V Hearts seems an obvious choice but, because of money, it won`t happen.
It would be good to play both games on the same day at the same time.

77% possession for St J – surely not
Gene
Not the game I watched.

It’s pish.
BBC with fake stats – next they’ll be calling newco the same club – wait a minute
That stat on Forrest. Big deal.
Imagine how many bigger wins we would have got if he wasn’t played.

On a Terrible pitch and coming off European exertions (emotionally and physically draining) that was a job well done.
