  1. C.O.Y.B.I.G.

Celtic: Hart, Ralston, Carter-Vickers, Welsh, Bernabei, Hakšabanović, Hatate, O’Riley, Jota, Abada, Giakoumakis.

Subs: Siegrist, Bain , Kyogo, Abildgaard, Mooy, McCarthy, Maeda, Juranovic, Forrest.

  2. Playing Abada, Haksabanovic, Jota and Giakoumakis a strange one? I would have thought Abildgard deserved a chance to play in midfield and give us a more physical presence rather than picking three small wingers.

  3. 6 changes from the Leipzig game.

This is what a squad is for.

Smashing team, so attacking Jura Taylor Kyogo saved for Tuesday?

Not surprised Abildgaard isn’t fit enough to start yet, Haksabanovic making up a midfield, or a tweak in format.

Looking forward to this, SKY coverage with Andy Walker muted for life.

    Come on the Hoops CSC

As a warm-up for St Johnstone v Celtic, just enjoyed a cracking live game of football on BT Sport – Sydney FC 2-3 Melbourne Victory played under torrential rain.

3 points today Celtic and wee bit of pressure on the Ibrox mob.

I’m sure I read somewhere that Haksabanovic prefers to play as a number 10 (although he frequently plays on the wing) so I would imagine him & O’Reilly would play in the advanced MF roles with Reo playing the deeper role.

  8. Double pívot for a 4-2-3-1? Ange has always said he plays 4-3-3 what ever the opposition but maybe Calmac is so integral to that formation that we’ll see something different today.

Or O’Riley playing as the pívot instead of Calmac which I’d like to see today and on Wednesday.

Always interesting watching Celtic these days but the same rules always apply, start with speed and intensity in all parts of the game.

  9. Indeed the Aussie ‘Big Blue’ game was a belter.

Two seniors caught the eye a bit; ex-Forest winger Joe Lolly and ex-Ferencvaros fwd Robert Mak.

Tough tackles aplenty! Nani did hee-haw until a pitch splitting pass set up a goal. Great advert for A League!

How good is it we have so many options to restock the team for McDiarmid Park.

Look fwd to seeing Haksabanovic start to impact a game from the start. Welcome back Cam and Tony!!

  10. Interesting line up. Not just a few tweaks. Rather, wholesale changes.

Regardless, mcdermid is a decent place to be playing today.

With fair conditions, I’ll plump for 3-1.

  11. Interesting line up, think Ange is hoping for an early blitz on the Saints defence unlike our pedestrian one against the other saints.

  12. Does snyone know why Celtic in European games have to keep the front four rows clear of fans?

    Doesn’t happen at Ibrox.

  13. off to watch the game in peace,

    avoid the celtic critics.

try supporting the team, and encourage the players.

UEFA install their own digital advertising boards behind the goals. They are bigger than the usual boards, so first 3 rows closed to avoid supporters being unable to see nearest half of pitch.

  15. Greg Taylor is the most improved player this season , just as Anthony Ralston was last season..
