Hope so dude. Just thinking that we’ve been playing the high-tempo game (higher than last year for sure) since Brendan got here. Hoping there’s some stamina-management. I’m sure we’ll use the subs to best effect. Important not to pick up cautions etc. that may impact that strategy. WDYT?
Think tomorrow will see a lot of possession football and fewer lung bursting runs, at least early on. They have to score 3 goals minimum – more if we score 1 or 2 – and I think we can surely defend well enough to prevent that.
The ref handled Arsenal, Man City and Real Madrid in last year’s group stages so should be able to handle the discipline if we keep cool (despite the temperatures !).
My nightmare is them leading 2-0 at some stage, making the result too wide open, but I’d be delighted to get to HT at 0-0 and then settle for a dull scoreless draw – HH

Oh yeah.. nil-anything at half time would be great. Guess they will be aware that we can score against them so they may be cautious. Would love us to get a goal early to settle the nerves. Will still keep the champagne on ice until the final whistle. Excitement building already. Defib fully charged…
