Aye,well-it is by Joe Green. Definitely strikes a chord.

Morning Bhoys well I see they are already pushing for Sparky to get a two match the same as Walker for diving I think it is a certainty.A huge week for the Hoops biggest game in a long time on Tuesday night and just over a week left in the transfer window. The two things are linked because although the club say it is not the case I am assured they are. If we go through another one possibly two players are likely to come in if we only make it to the Europa League the status quo will prevail. Also we could see several players leave the club in order to trim our squad and reduce the wage bill. H.H.

That’s no’ fair. You took the only acceptable description that was likely to pass the moderators.

    Point is…..

Celtic FC have already sold you down the river.

They took your money then, threw you to the devil dogs of the hun establishment.

They’re inaction to any adversity is what they think of you.

They think your not worth it.

As you’ll see as the weeks trundle along.

Yeah, need to wait and see their gameplan and take it from there. They either come at us all guns blazing and leave gaps at the back which we can exploit or they play their normal game and hope to score first and gradually build up pressure. They do that and it can give us a chance to dominate and keep the ball and effectively kill the tie.

Lets hope we score first and settle any lingering nerves. Its good to see the confidence in the team though and how they all want the ball – our passing and movement should see us give them real problems even if we only have 40% possession,

Griff was punished at the time, rightly or wrongly.

    No further action.

If Thomson was half as clever as he thinks he is,he would have given the penalty and red-carded the St Johnstone player. That way the red card could be rescinded,Leigh charged, automatically miss the huns game.

  8. JFH,

Your post has just reminded me of the dearth of nicknames at our club compared to past times. Arguably To be a real fans favourite you need a good nickname.

Absolutely, and want the ball in the RIGHT areas will be key – i.e. coming short for the ball turning, passing then moving whilst also maintaining a compact shape. For that reason, I would potentially, maybe, perhaps, possibly, conceivably…..*whispers*…play McGregor instead of Rogic.

    Gasp!

BobbyMurdoch. Sorry Fella im not following you how was Sparky punished at the time ? Do you mean he should have had the penalty ? if so no arguement from me there. However I am pretty certain he will get a two game ban they will level the playing field against us any chance they get. H.H.

  11. BOBBY MURDOCH’S CURLED-UP WINKLEPICKERS –

Good lord sir, you speak as if referees had an agenda against our club…..

  12. Joe Filippis Haircut

By the rules, if the referee has seen the incident and taken the “appropriate” action then the incident cannot be referred to the Compliance Officer. There is no need for retrospective action as it was dealt with at the time.

The punishment for a dive is a yellow card. Thomson thought Griff dived and booked him. It’s dealt with.

  13. Kev

You’re not impressed with Stink Poos FC – I take it?

    BMCUW

Box clever, we could ask Celtic to run a competition called “How do we refer Sevco” on 10/9/16?

Could raise a lot of dosh for a charity.

McGregor has form for away goals in Europe, in fact most of his goals seem to be on the road- have a feeling he will be on the bench tomorrow, but a good option to have.

To think the days of non scoring strikers may be gone, we now have several midfielders/wingers who look like they can score 10+, bodes well… and still plenty room to manoeuvre in the transfer market,

    HH

  15. There can be no further punishment of the Leigh Griffiths “diving,” incident. He was given a yellow card at the time. The difference with the previous case was a penalty was awarded incorrectly and the player was the retrospectively punished after the event as no punishment had been awarded.

  17. The amount of publicity the club have had this week, far, far, far outweighs the amount of any fine they will get.

I would wager the suits are quite happy with the publicity and goodwill the club is getting.

The only negative stuff is coming from a few Pro Zionist spreads and some Celtic supporters, who would have think it.

  18. Regarding tomorrow’s game — we should be OK.

Big question for me would be TR — play him or NB from the start?

They are a limited team with good tactics and the energy you get from playing at home.

We have a lot more talent and potential and a history of scoring against them.

Tough game but we should go through with a scoring draw.

Big word should, very big word.

  19. The matching the fine for Pastine could have been used better, if they would have got they’r heads together before the game and said ….we can not fly flags as UEFA won’t allow it and our club would be find say £30,000 and be in breach of UEFA rules, so what we are going to do is Mach what we think would be the fine and send it to the people of Palastine …. But that would be thinking it over, a thing the leaders of the GB are not are not very good at, and it probably wouldent suit they’r agenda, and it’s to simple, but going on previous they have they get it arse to elbow and all wrong, now they’r as I predicted a few days ago sugar coating it a charitable cause that comes a fine and part of my season ticket money going towards a thing I didn’t want part of, awe aye keep slapping yer backs.

I remember the balls Erik showed against the new club….he was raging, and smashed a cracking header in….power and determination.

Id have him in the team every time if he is fit.

  21. A 24/7 shift………………incredible!

I’ll wager Erin’s Green Grenade Bhoy 67/88 or somesuch concocktion……… will have mysteriously morphed into another curiously monotonous single issue Celtic “challenger” after Tuesday’s game is done and dusted…….

  22. I see Willie Collum thinks there has been a witch hunt against him.

Well, this can all be settled quite easily – as Monty Python illustrated, you can prove whether someone is a witch by weighing them against a duck.

I think that test will prove the Willie is a little duck. At least that’s what I think I’ve heard people shout at him…

Of course they don’t have an agenda against us. They simply despise us.

    BOURNESOUPRECIPE

Not sure if you meant refer or referee. Former, call them The Rangers, note their achievements since 2012. As we would for any other club,we always refer to their history.

If the latter,I refer you to PC PLOD. Mibbe MICKYBHOY will be able to help.

  25. Lustig for Janko & McGregor for Rogic will be the only two likely changes from weekend for tomorrow .

  26. Kev

I was told in 2012 from ‘ an impeccable source ‘ even although I don’t normally do ‘ I was told’s ‘ or ‘ impeccable sources ‘ that change in reference would be subtle, but there just the same.

Better still if everyone just followed your example, did nothing, challenged nothing, recognised their place and bowed and scraped their way through life.

  29. tonydonnelly67 on 22nd August 2016 10:34 am

    Was never about money.

How many times do you have to be told this? Are you incapable of understanding that? Or are deliberately ignoring it?

You can come on here with your half baked, half arsed excuses, it’s not washing, and no amount of trying to spin your Anti – Palestine rhetoric will hold any water, because it can been seen for what it is.

You and others on here backed the wrong horse, you are all now left with egg upon your faces and no pedestal to pontificate from. The charitable exercise by the Green Brigade and the silence of Celtic FC with regard to condemning the flag display makes you pathetic excuses on here look ridiculous.

The more you all seethe on here the more i laugh.

    Move on.

  30. Leigh Griffiths cannot be punished exclusively for his “dive” because he was shown the yellow card, so it was dealt with. He can’t be called up for it.

If he goes on to receive 3 yellow cards, he receives an automatic 1-game suspension.

  31. Rowley Birkin QC on

Just an idea….why not apply to participate on ssb “beat the pundit”. For every question answer SEVCO wonder when they’d pull the plug…..lol

  32. Amazing amount of money raised. Our support are unique and always surprise me.

    Well Done GB.

  33. Flags — is it just about publicity, publicity for the club?

If it is then it is just so much look at me self indulgence that others will pay for.

Given the situation with Israel / Palestine then if all you do is wave a flag then you are playing straight into the Neo Zionist / Israeli hyper nationalistic right wing establishment’s — aka the political reptile formerly known as BN — game.

They want to play it aa a backs to the wall / us versus them conflict to stifle any internal discussion of what is the best part forward for the country and the region. Trying to turn a football match against a team with the history and beliefs of HBS is just so much student politics porn, playing straight into their hands.

Playing a one dimensional game suggests that real world politics, the politics of delivery and results is beyond the GB leadership at this moment in time. If statements is all they are capable off then they have a long way to go.

Building bridges with HBS would have been the better if more difficult thing to do.

It would have challenged the current establishment narrative and made it much more difficult to just dismiss the protest as some sort of childish middle class grandstanding.

Interesting to see how the GB deal with tomorrow’s game?

They might start to question their lack of constructive actions last week.
