Sweden, Finland, Norway and Denmark all possible for Celtic

947

Delighted for Aberdeen, winning away from home in Croatia is no mean feat for a Scottish club, but a 0-3 result, anywhere, is a special result.  None of the other 32 away teams could manage so much as a two goal win.

The Inverness defeat on their maiden European performance was pity, if not a surprise.  Winning your home game is regarded as the Cardinal Rule in Europe, but they have a puncher’s chance next week in Romania.  Score the opening goal and it’s anyone’s game.

Today’s draw for the Champions League 3rd round qualifier has the potential to get a bit tasty.  There are plenty of potential opponents from northern Europe with trips to Sweden, Finland, Norway and Denmark all possible, while Celtic are the only seed from northern Europe.  Hopefully Uefa, in their keenness for geographical neighbourliness, don’t feel the need to send us to Israel, Poland or Serbia.  If we take care of Stjarnan, of course.

Was at the Game on Wed night, Played well i thought considering it still early. We over played too much at times and I think Ciftci linked up better than JG ever did already, Good signs as he was in the right place about 3 or 4 times and just went too early or late to get a couple of goals also thought Brown was MOM for me not SA, Never done anything in first half on the wing and played better in the middle. Joe is a buzzbomb and must be a nightmare to play against, runs and runs and runs. Izzy was a bombscare at times and still a bit off. Very happy with 2 and we should beat them away.

Side note took my mate to the game he had an E ticket. 20 min Que after KO for his ticket crazy in 2015 that we still fail at this level. I think even the club were surprised at the size of the crowd and might have got caught short.

Stadium looked amazing, the place was buzzing, Great night for football and the atmosphere was great. GB are awesome.

    Long may it continue,

Do those pilots embedded, not embedded, covert or not…as British subjects do they have the democratic backing of The mother of all parliaments? to act for any govt?

Embedded- no permission from our country.so are we running a proxy army? acting whether that opportunity is democratically denied or not?

Is life ‘cheap’ to an ISIS fighter?

I don’t know a lot about what is going on down there, but I know enough to ask the simple question… WHY?

Look beyond the BBC and CNN, take an hour or two to read up on WHY? Every day I go to work I have a Sunni driver, I play football with Sunni and Shiites twice a week.Sunni’s take me across Baku to the Catholic church, and they come in with me.

I really believe we are where we are today, not because of religion, but because of the money that oil and arms generates. I really do believe that, that has been my life’s experience.

And I am so sad that people cherry pick the BBC/CNN/FOX news stories to suit their own insular beliefs. People will believe what they want to believe, always… unless they ask questions and live the answers.

It really is one screwed up world at the moment, and who’s going to make it better?

Embedding of the military with another country’s forces is not a new thing, nor is it confined to the UK and the US.

I assume you’re aware of that.

The point I’m making is that the fact that British pilots are involved has made no difference to what has happened. It would have happened just the same without them. The Americans are not relying on their expertise or experience (ie they’re not bringing anything to the party). I assume you accept that.

I would be more concerned if they had been embedded with another country’s air force with whom their presence would have made the difference between bombing raids being carried out or not.

Just to be clear about this I’m against military involvement in this conflict. I’m not sure whether you are or not.

MARC WARREN is ready to quit Twitter after the golf star was subjected to horrendous abuse by hate-filled bigots.

The twice European Tour winner has grown sick of putting up with insults on the social network because he’s a Rangers fan.

Now he is turning his account over to his management company to handle on his behalf so he doesn’t have to subject himself to “ridiculous” messages from trolls who glory in his setbacks on the course – simply because he supports a different team on the football pitch.
