Dundee have played 12 games since losing 6-0 at Celtic Park in September, scoring in all but one of those occasions. Only Celtic and Aberdeen have kept them out in 21 games this season. They lost five last time out to Ross County (scoring twice), but scored four against Accies the week before. Season tickets at Dens are excellent value for money. There will be goals when Celtic visit tomorrow.
Kane Hemmings scored five of their six goals against County and Accies. He’s a direct player who makes runs from deep into space but a large portion of his goals come as a consequence of defensive errors. In short, he appears to run at defenders in anticipation of them making a mistake, not a wholly unproductive strategy for strikers playing against Celtic this season.
Ronny Deila will be keen Celtic build on the positives from Tynecastle, although the on-going absence of Leigh Griffiths will be a concern. I reckon we would have seen Carlton Cole at some point against Hearts if it were not for the plethora of injuries which restricted the manager’s options. Hearts had done their homework on Nadir Ciftci, who was well marshalled throughout. He can expect a similar night tomorrow.
Partick Thistle’s role in the title race will come into focus over the next week. They are on an excellent run ahead of tomorrow’s visit to Pittodrie at Saturday’s game at Celtic Park, having won their last four league games. You can win two Premium Seat tickets in the Jock Stein Stand for Saturday’s game, courtesy of Magners, if you answer this question:
Who was the last Partick Thistle manager to win four consecutive top flight games?
Email your answer in the SUBJECT line to celticquicknews@gmail.com before 17:00 tomorrow (30th). My Partick Thistle knowledge is limited, so editors decision if final……
And if you are so minded, having read what you’ve done already for Mary’s Meals in 2015, you can donate a £1 or so towards them here. Many thanks…………

never in doubt it was off, you can’t play football in that, crazy.
When you install a php into IIS7 and try to execute phpinfo() script you can get an HTTP 500 Internal Server Error message. The most probably cause of this is that php-cgi.exe program is writing some text to stderr. By default IIS7 displays an HTTP 500 error message when it detects such behavior even, when the CGI displayed only a warning message on stderr. To avoid this problem you have to change default error handling for FastCGI in IIS7.
To do this follow the following steps:
Start IIS Manager
Click on and then in the right pane go to “FastCGI Settings”.
Right click on php-cgi.exe file and choose “Edit…”.
Set the “Standard error mode” option to “IgnoreAndReturn200” value.
Click OK and close IIS Manager.
After performing mentioned steps you shall no longer see HTTP 500 error messages in the browser.

Love CQN, avid reader and occasional poster.
A genuine question…….and sorry if you’ve covered before…….
Can you do anything to tweak the current platform to make it more user friendly?
Firstly I use an iPhone 6, it’s the only way I access the site.
A few comments:-
– navigation is not easy. Finding current articles and differentiating from news items isn’t intuitive
– the adverts always load at the top and now most irritatingly are starting to become ‘pop ups’.
– It seems to be designed to ensure you frequently click the ads when you’ve no desire to do so. Some are also fairly questionable too….!
I’m sounding hyper critical because I love the site / opinions and the live nature of comment, but I am genuinely finding it challenging at the moment.
Take the critique in the spirit it is meant.

MUDDY WATERS……..
Quite happy game is off. Sodden pitch would have been a leveller, plus too many injuries, plus Ref Collum! He again slipped up badly with his penalty decisions at sheepland. Noted last night that Michael Gardyne scored two. Always impressed when I see him on highlights, strong, clever and an eye for goal.
ANGELGABRIEL what makes you think he’s acting? Give us a clue
Gutted Billy the fish that the game is off was looking to an early start on the sauce for the new year.booooo.

Weather not conducive to large crowds travel waterlogged pitches, etc , odd how Aberdeen can play the other half of Glasgow.
I hate it when there’s not going to be a show, there I said it.
I am going to miss this years holiday period riot at Dens Park

After the amount of water that came aff old king cole during the Inverness game he would have start a tsuami with the amount of water available from both him and the pitch
I don’t understand Scottish clubs refusing to vote for strict liability. They are holding back society by allowing the racist songbook to be performed by tens of thousands of fans.
Why do the likes of Dundee United, Patrick who have pretty much no reason to be worried vote against strict liability? Are the clubs saying :
1- they cannot control the fans
2- Scottish football only exists at the standard it does thru racism and hatred. If we were tackle this, the game would decline
I just don’t understand. We could clean up Scottish football from monkey muppet halfwits with strict liability. (Though no pyros no party may give an indication of the attitudes we’d face). What the hell do 9 or 10 clubs in the premiership have to fear?

Thanks Bourn – new to me but will try.
I wouldn’t have even saw tonight’s match on the gogglebox so for selfish reasons in delighted it’s off
Also with our current injury list and prospect of multiple galactico signings next week it’s a bonus ;)

There won’t be goals.
Disgusting that its the state of the pitch and not travelling fans safety which results in postponement.
Contempt beyond words.
On reflection I am glad the game is off,it would have been a great leveller.
Not just for Dundee, but for the SPFL delegate who is currently poring over the singing issue at Ibrox, and was waiting for the opportunity to issue an all encompassing statement.
Nae luck.
Gutted with no match tonight. Wife and bhoys en route to Donegal, I had the house to myself.
It’s probably no bad thing though, and I’ll console myself with a few more episodes of House of Cards instead.
