Title talk can wait

245

The Scottish Premiership post-split fixtures, issued yesterday, were kind to Celtic.  The anticipated trip to Ross County, capacity 6,500, comes first, a day the title cannot be decided.  Win there, and next game against Newco, and a point at home to Hearts on 7 May would be enough to decide season 2021-22.

Let’s have no more talk about this until we take care of the important business ahead.  We have a Scottish Cup semi-final against a team good enough to reach the Europa League quarter-finals, with a real chance of progressing further.  Celtic will need a new gameplan for Sunday, especially with enforced chances likely up front.  The Scottish Cup is our only focus.

Personally, I am SERIOUSLY enjoying the ride.

It’s brilliant. Hats off to Ange.

But, respectfully, I think I’ll hold on to a small chunk of what you term “paranoia” for a bit.

    After 33 rounds of fixtures we’re 16/17

The final objective after 38 rounds (to be realised in just a few weeks) is 19/19

    After 34 rounds we’ll be 16/18.

And a glut of home fixtures will follow.

    This is not logical scheduling.

Aye especially at full-time when the terraces could be full of money from all the supporters jumping up and down during the game…rich pickings lol

BACK TO BASICS – GLASS HALF FULL

Another way to look at that is – they have given us 3 of our last 4 games at home. I see that as a big plus in the run in.

  4. Since when did RC become a difficult game for us?A very odd decent performance does not make them a dangerous opponent. We could have had a lot worse.Very happy with the first 2 games.

That’s right. I remember stepping down from the girders on to a ten bob note. My wee brother and I were sick after all the sweeties and ginger we enjoyed that night.

Oh yes the Girders……….my favoured spot for the big games as the place literally bounced after a goal especially against old firm fc followed by a rendition of ”we shall not be moved”……..still my favourite chant when in full cry.

The Dukla semi final is the one I remember most clearly for some reason and also kept looking for the ‘Untouchables’ banner which always gave me a sense of reassurance to my young mind.

Was always scared the whole end would collapse when celebrating………

Agree with you Turkeybhoy, only thing which springs to mind is their hertz game being a dead rubber if hertz are in the final

  9. Agree

Ross County midweek in December with umpteen players missing YES hard

but Lunchtime Sunday with full squad not saying easy but could think of worse places to go.

Also as we cant win league that day mean more hoops fans there IF/When we do.

  10. Canamalar it looks like OCD obsession on

    MM,

I can safely say I answered most of your points last night with purely logical and matter of fact reasoning providing information that is easily available as public record in the west. Unfortunately most were censored and I can only assume they were deleted because they challenged the moderators own opinions and required him to think about his position, rather than do that he removed them and retained his gognitive dissonance. None of the posts were derogatory, rude or contained expletives which I expect I would have been barred for if I had strayed into that area.

I posted the articles from the UN’s unkiversal human rights decleration to demonstrate how the people of not only the Donbass but the general Ukrainian population had their rights removed at the 2014 coup. the two biggest political parties in the country were outlawed, the Russian, Polish and Hungarian languages were made a criminal to utter.

However I note you have also been indoctrunated into the Putin is evil propaganda sect so I expect any of the arguments provied last night would have been ignored for either derogatory attacks or cherry picking insignificant details that I have come to expect when discussing serious subjects on here.

Lets just say I completely disagree with most of what you say (I agree that war is a terrible place to be) but its better than watching the ethnic cleansing that has been continued over the last 8 years but gone unreported in the west.

If I am wrong I will have no problem admitting I am wrong when independent investigations are completed and the evidence is available however when the UK refused to allow discussion on Bucha when the Russian’s requested this at the UN security council, (the firt time in the UN’s history a request from a permanent member has been rejected), with a full and indepnedent inquiry. I don’t hold out much hope that an independent inquiry will be allowed by the west.

The west is winning the information war and silencing dissenters (as i have been on a blog) appears to be the new norm, I’m left wondering what would be enough to convince people like yourself that the west is as usual, the main problem as they have demonstrated over the last 30 years.

Is here anything that would convince you?

I expect history will be the judge and hope all those who want me silenced now are man enough to admit they were wrong when the time comes.
