Topping agitates for a fans’ revolt

593

“The best hope for the Scottish game? It’s in the activity the fans bring to bear on big organisations.”

“Fans don’t realise yet how much change they can bring about”.

Not the words of a blogger-agitator, the words of out-going SCFL chairman, Ralph Topping, trying to incite fans to revolt against TV companies.  In the same valedictory interview to The Scotsman, Topping acknowledged the mobilisation of fans against governance standards at the SPFL, but turned his face to the fans.

The man has been in office for 8 years but has been a virtual recluse as far as the paying public are concerned.  Now we know why, he has no filter or self-awareness.

Not good enough, Mr Topping.  You have failed to answer any of the pertinent questions (here) and despite the game being brought into significant disrepute during your tenure, you have now briefed the press that you intend to ignore Celtic’s request that matters are reviewed.

If you want to incite a revolt from football fans, you are on track.  We’ll do what we can, I promise.

The SFA have been trying to portray this as a Celtic v “Rangers” thing as a matter of strategy.

When John Clark brought the matter up with Regan in a public meeting in Edinburgh over a year ago Regan tried to brush it away as a West of Scotland issue but JC nailed him.

After Regan made an unexpected announcement about RES12 going to UEFA at the SFA AGM in 2016 the Celtic Company Secretary was pursued out side Hampden by an STV Camera man and reporter Grant Russell asking the Comp Sec if Celtic had written to UEFA.

Since the announcement was unexpected who tipped off STV?

Then the famous Traverso UEFA letter dated 8th June arrives.

On 20th June the same reporter publishes the UEFA response which he says came from UEFA Media with the new club/company para in it but missing the key phrase. Why did he go to UEFA and not SFA and significantly why has the same reporter never attempted to clarify what the SFA received in spite of constant reminders on Twitter?

These guys do have something to hide, its in the Timeline from 19 Sept to 7 December and they will do anything to prevent an enquiry, but as the Timeline tells a story of fraud in March 2011 by RFC (now departed) and cover up by the SFA from September after the granting ploy was unmasked when Sherriff Officers called in August 201, then its only a matter of time for the SFA to be called out or say why they shouldn’t.

The SFA either explain themselves to Celtic shareholders via Celtic or it goes to court where the LNS shenanigans can be uncovered as further evidence of SFA dishonesty (they had a piece of evidence they never provided to Harper MacLeod).

If it is portrayed as a Celtic v Rangers issue by the media so what? They are hardly clean. This is fraud by Rangers that provided them access to survival dependency money at Celtic’s expense and Celtic have every right to go the whole way if necessary.

Its not personal or sectarian driven, its just business.

(See that Timeline btw, its been up for a number of days, if there were holes in it then we would have heard by now. Its like the TOG/TJN report, the reason media did not touch it is they could not fault it.

We cannot be protected from being offended and how we react determines how we as human beings have developed.

Tolerance and, at a pinch disdain, should be how we view our offending and offensive brethren.

Exactly what offends one person may zoom over another’s head.

I feel sorry for our offensive brethren, imagine being so unaware of self and impact on others?

But back to LG. He surely knew tying a Celtic scarf to a Linfield goalpost was not going to zoom over any heads.

Just saw the clip of the hun in a bunnet running onto the pitch at Windsor Park.

Looked unsteady on his feet and looking for the polis to stop him, while gesturing to the full Celtic team to ‘come ahead’. Pathetic excuse of a human being.

    ===========================

Both are covered by helpers but I don’t find KDS fertile territory for anything Res12.

The HB though seem from feedback a lot more involved.

  19. AULDHEID @ 11:52 PM,

Well what you say is of course correct.

A character called the Central Scutiniser Zappad up this afternoon on CQN, you and the Res 12 bhoys put a lie to his assertion that blogs and forums can’t make a difference (even if he hadn’t heard of RTC:).

The outstanding work you have done is not going away I know, I also understand enuff to know that Celtic PLC are integral in taking this forward.

I did read the timeline when you put it up, I’ll read it again. But you have got them bang to rights, they know this.

You obviously have seen how the SFA operate, thanks for the insight, this is high stakes for them, it seems to me their tactics will only get worse.

“If it is portrayed as a Celtic v Rangers issue by the media so what? They are hardly clean. This is fraud by Rangers that provided them access to survival dependency money at Celtic’s expense and Celtic have every right to go the whole way if necessary.

Its not personal or sectarian driven, its just business.”

This I have to agree with but cautioned against Celtic driving this too forcefully too soon.

First and foremost we should be looking at a consensus among the Scottish support to right the wrongs of the Footballing Authorities and press their Boards and Chairpersons to support a Review.

Based in England for many a year I may have a different perspective of Scottish Football Fans but in my experience many of those who support Clubs outside Glasgow, would support Rangers in an Old Firm game. If it gets partisan we could loose any sympathy they have towards a Review.

Of course if push comes to shove and we go it alone so be it, Celtic have every right to pursue this and have the tools to win.

    Hail Hail

Lol,Carey and Chomsky quoted well in context mate;-) nae amount o propoganda models will take away liquidation day 14/6/2012 and the 9 minute swirl it took goin out of existence. The only ‘complexity'(SR) is the continual obfuscation of rules and governance since that day.History is on our side.

The problems today arise from liquidation(myth continuity) but only point to Sir David of Cheats inculcated and layered cheating since the day he took over the debtbrox in 1988.

Surely if the huns who are currently implying it wiz wrong business practice from him rhat caused their club to die will join me in seeking a public enquiry into his tenure….na me neither lol

    Hope life is good.

TRICOLOURED RIBBON on 18TH JULY 2017 1:06 AM

Sadly, it will take much more than anything Auldheid’s come up this thus far to get justice.

  23. Celtic fans will be cheated, till the coo’s come home…..

    know why,….?

    Cause they take it !

    Ye see,…..

Celtic PLC, knew that, the BTC was coming down the road….

and, they knew that there was a chance that,….

    the huns would lose…..

But, instead of being prepared to go for Justice…..

    The sleekit PLC, planned ahead….

One year before the BTC result, the PLC, faced with…..

30,000 empty seats, did something that they only do when…

faced with a possible, fan rebellion…..

they binned the project manager route, and stepped up to the plate….

like they did with, Wim & MO’N……

only, this time, they brought in a quality manager, not because he is the…..

requisite quality of manager, who should be the norm at Celtic…..

because, the PLC don’t rate the Celtic support highly enough to be served…..

by such a, high profile manager, or, they wouldn’t have waited until,…..

30,000 seats where empty, before bringing in Brendan ?

    Ye see,….

The narrative in the PLC boardroom, pre the arrival of, Brendan….

and, with, 30,000 empty seats staring them in the face, must have went like this…

PLC – “Jeezo, what will it be like next year if, the huns lose the BTC and, we try to dodge the outcome ? Know what, we’ll up the bar a bit, get rid of RD and, bring in someone who’ll get fans onside again, hopefully sell out the, 53,000 seats, but, more important than any of that, a manager who’ll make the fans less inclined to, not renew their season tickets, on the back of our silence re: the BTC verdict. So as a PLC, we unanimously agree that we’ll recruit a, manager with stock and, with the most crucial detail on the new managers skill set, his ability to make the fans look the other way from the court rooms, and focus on the pitch instead. All agreed.”

    ……or, words to that effect.

Thing is, the only way that, Celtic PLC will do anything, to suit the fans is…..

when there is a threat of, empty seats…

So going against the PLC grain, Brendan appeared….

then the PLC signed him up for anther four years….

killing stone dead the threat of any fan rebellion….

but, more crucially for the PLC, it removes the fans rebellious smoking gun….

so, that probably ensures ten in a row, but, as a consequence…..

it probably secures the 25 years of Murray Mibbery for the huns tae.

    So, who won the war……?

    Celtic’s 10 in a row – against pub teams(imho)….?

    Or,……..

Rangers 25 years of Murray Mibbery 140 million quid swindle ?

    Conclusion……..

Celtic fans have been played by the Complicity Silent PLC….

    Cyncal Conclusion……

Celtic supporters, who say that last season was our best since Lisbon, represent a worryingly, huge number of fans who are ripe for, PLC type, Celtic View brainwashing….

The clock is ticking on the future of, Celtic Football Club…..

    ……so sad.

    ……off-oot.
